Sort of off the grid request....Don't really know where to post...

I am in dire need of moving from where I am now.... Have tons of family wanting me to move to their area, but I am so different from them that not only I have second thought about it, but just know I am going to be sorry.

I am in Phoenix right now.... and need to move to a more rural place, small community that carers and have people like us... I know Sedona in AZ. is one, but that is such an expensive place.

Does anyone know of such a town in the USA?
If you do please advise, it will be much appreciated

I don't know you or what you want in life--so this really "broad" as far as response goes.
Don't underestimate family ties. If they don't belong to organized crime, or something equally weird, check it out.
That doesn't mean you have to agree with them, share their religion, or politics. You can just hang with, have a beer with, and and they may love you and accept you just for that.
Can you get a job in their town? Then go.
I have no clue about where you are now, compared to say, Sedona, and your local economy.
You don't have to share everything with your family--like "I post on PA!". But if you can hang with them, expand your appreciation of them, make a living and have a decent home, check it out.
I can only pray that you could be surprised and delighted with the results, not knowing the details.

I think that no matter where you go, most people will still be asleep until the rude awakening. Pick a bunch of potential places to go, and the check out county tax sales for buying property cheaply.

I used to own a trucking company, Ive been everywhere, can you narrow it down for us? Do you intend to work? How much do you want to spend a month on rent etc? survival or town?

Wow ... I apologize for not being so specific....here it is my situation.... Pretty much broke with some savings to settle me in somewhere.... I am on disability due to having AIDS, well I hope this is temporary.... as the previous post from the one suggested I consider family, most of them are "Holly Rollers" -hope you all know what that is.... I could work, but it would have to be like non IRS for now until I am fully recuperated.
