View Full Version : The Illusionist uses misdirection

The Illusionist uses misdirection.
If you keep people looking up at the sky, then they won't be looking at the ground.
If you keep people looking outside themselves, then they won't being looking inside.
If you keep people looking at their emotions, they won't be looking at the cause of the emotions.
Misdirection is very, very subtle: it maybe deliberate or subconscious.
Once we are attracted to something, it becomes part of our system.
It's a bit like a virus, that slowly takes over, until you (the machine) just obeys!
The key to this is an enhancement of an ego.
The 'secret powers' will keep us chasing the laser point in whichever direction they choose.
They will even make you believe that you are the power.
This is merely a boosting of an already self indulgent ego.
Intertwined on the path to enlightenment is the path of self deception.
There is a constant misdirection towards a 'self': the belief that the 'self' will become enlightened, or that the 'self' is already enlightened.
This is a very, very subtle misdirection.
For centuries, we have had an image of an evil and devil. This is merely an exaggeration employed to keep us on the straight - and very narrow path - of good versus evil.
There is only knowing and not knowing. There is no good and evil.
This is a misdirection to keep people righteously confused.
There is nothing wrong with ego - when it know its true essence.
The NWO, UFOs, Nibiru, Aliens, Contacts, and all those self-claimed skills... (?) are all a distraction, a misdirection. There is never, ever, any 'real' knowledge there. The result of this is to keeping us going round in circles, and NOT evolving.
This busy-ness is a profitable business!
There is control going on, and people are being abused, but if we over-react we are only making the illusion seem real. At the same time, if you under-react - thinking it's all 'as it is' - this is also a misdirection, as it implies apathy. If I believed in that aspect, I wouldn't be writing this at all!
This is very subtle business.
How do you draw a line between what is a religion and what is not?
How do you draw the line between fact and fiction when watching a video?
This is all comes down to personal choice – just make sure you have a choice!
My intention is truly not to upset anyone, merely to open up to the possibility of misdirection.

Misdirection and distraction have been a part of our society for a very long time, regardless of the society, once play becomes more important than work, once pleasure becomes more important than honor, once power becomes more important than human life then truly the illusionist has won. Religion has become a way to explain the unexplained. I think it was the Native Americans that believed that a path is neither good nor evil but simply a path that you choose to take. Distraction and segregation from each other based on sex, religion, origin, color, ability, and class has always worked toward the benefit of the 1%.

SPOTTING MISDIRECTION
This is to illustrate how the path of enlightenment has the path of endarkenment written into it.
It's a little more subtle than a figure in black with horns, tail and fiery hypnotic eyes, half hidden behind a scorched tree, wiggling its hips and lisping...”cooeey!” ( or is this just me?)
.... or does yours have Zionist/Alien/Rothschild stamped on it, with bloodied money spewing out of its pockets rasping... “Want some?”
No, it is more like a purring...”Hello... you are enlightened, there is nothing to do, we are all one, you are the golden child...” I'm not being horrid - I get caught all the time! It is just a matter of becoming familiar with the game being played, that's all.
In fact it is quite funny, as probably at the moment of enlightenment, one will realise that one WAS enlightened all the time, but didn't realise it. But that is just theory... and that is also the very trap!
Let's start at the top and work down.
We are pure being.
This pure being prisms into three aspects; Conscious, Pure and Compassionate.
When these three aspects become misdirected they become; Desire, Ignorance and Aversion.
These three pure aspects prism into five wisdoms; Mirror, Equality, Encompassing, Spaciousness and Discernment.
When these five wisdoms become misdirected, they become the five afflictive emotions (that's the other three plus Pride and Jealousy).
These five wisdoms prism into four enlightened activities; Pacifying, Magnetising, Enriching and Destroying.
The Wisdom of Pacifying accommodates everything. It reveals that there are no problems, and that aggression from the ego is unnecessary.
The Wisdom of Enriching brings to light the process of growth, and allows the process of knowledge.
The Wisdom of Magnetising by passes the conventional reality. In conventional reality, we continually try to draw desired situations towards ourselves and fend off undesirable ones. A realised person simply remains as he or she is, without this ego intervention, attracting naturally.
The Wisdom of Destroying is connected to compassion, aimed at ego's manipulations.
When these four enlightened activities become misdirected, they become the four inner demons. These actions are the ego claiming the enlightened activities.
The Demon of pacifying .
It attempts to make peace by using pleasure and security, to eliminate what is unpleasant. It is an imitation of genuine pacifying, which is beyond any self-serving strategy ( … “there, there - it will be alright, trust me”).
The Demon of enriching.
Ego takes the natural growth and turns it into its own ground. It takes the richness, and turns it into my wealth (… “see how clever I am”).
The Demon of magnetising.
One attempts to attract, to feed one's ego with what is desirable, based on the possessive emotions ( … “I enjoy praying for others” ).
The Demon of destroying.
Instead of destroying what needs to be destroyed, obliterates everything. Trungpa Rinpoche wrote, “it begins to get inspired in the wrong way, and uproots the whole tree...And that is the karmic quality of destruction gone wild, unnecessarily” (… “you are talking total rubbish!”).
It takes much inner stillness to notice this going on.
If we ignore the action of the inner demons we will always be facing in the opposite direction to enlightenment = Misdirection!
Because of all this, the whole of our world is created. This world we create constantly reflects back on us.
The key to all this is to know how the ego (the inner demon) works. And how outer demons utilise our inner demons. Demons only want to destroy: they use subtle misdirections. They cannot help themselves, but we can! Their appearance actually helps.
I can only repeat the words of my precious teachers.
I haven't a single idea of my own!
It is all repetition.
(I'll draw a chart of this, it may be easier to see it visually.)

First of all Pie., there isn't anything bad, or wrong or evil even. We just perceive through the lens of our brainwashed minds. If you perceived reality direct, without this lens or control, there is no misdirection. It is a way to instill fear by telling someone there is something left to fear.

I think that without some of these so called distractions most people would not have bothered to look inward, it is a trigger for which most sleeping folks needed to wake up.

Good morning Eileen
Thank you for repeating the words to emphasis the point Pie made: I am glad you and he are of the same mind for once!

At an Absolute level there is no good or evil.
At a Relative level there is good and evil.
At an Absolute level there is no duality.
At a Relative level there me and other.
At an Absolute level expression is Relative.
At a Relative level its nature is Absolute.
They work nicely together.

I find having a system invaluable, and I am truly grateful for finding what I have been looking for. Throughout one's life one repeatedly practices, which serves as a constant reminder. The importance of this, is at the moment of death, where one does not want any self-centred distractions to disturb the process.
So that is why one needs a clear free compassionate mind!
Who know if there will be a next breath?

This is a quick simple illustration. Ultimately there is just Knowing, but because of our self-cherishing a Relative world of Not Knowing is created and maintained.
Up until a year ago I never believed in external demonic forces, now I do!
The antidote to these forces is resting in one's pure knowing nature.
Every time we give in to the notion of how important "I am" it opens up a channel to these dark forces, and puffs up the ego.
The knowledge of these external forces, can actually serve as a reminder.
Ignoring is ignorance. All one has to do, is see what is going on in the world!

Thank you for your post.
I read it again and discovered that choice is indeed the crux of the matter.
What does one choose, every single morning, when one wakes up?
The NWO, UFOs, Nibiru, Aliens, Contacts, and all those self-claimed skills... (?) are all a distraction, a misdirection. There is never, ever, any 'real' knowledge there. The result of this is to keeping us going round in circles, and NOT evolving.

Yep, our daily "Punch and Judy show". :becky:

Imagine, if one day you switched on the hypnovision or opened a new(idea)spaper and heard/read this?

But....
that ´aint gonna happen.
As long as people don´t realise the absurdity of every aspect of the illusion : -that time, space, ego, cosmos, energy are all fluid.
Moving in all directions for eons.
Stories come and go. Our history will come and go.
But the ego likes stories and that´s what the puppeteers are "profiting" from.
I would like to compare the situation to a fly landing on the television screen. When on it, it sees a gazillion spots dancing around (the stories of this and that). There is so much to see, it is difficult to discern and make sense of it all. A very murky picture.
If the fly were to fly and land on an opposite wall and THEN have a look at the screen, it would see "THE BIG PICTURE". :)
What if each one us were to zoom out from "the dancing dots on the television screen" and instead of looking at the screen....use the remote contol and switch off all the stories?
If all the misdirections had an end...
I wonder what would happen then?

Hello Eileen,
Oh! Yes there is! A bad action creates suffering for others, surely that must be clear. It actually rebounds back on oneself, this is called karma. A good action benefits others, surely that must be clear. That too rebounds back on us, this is called karma. This all takes place in our dream world. It is only in the awake world that there is no good or bad.
I look forward to us all waking up. Can I take it that we are on the same side?
yours,
Tony

Hi Pie., I spend most of my time sharing on another forum that is only directed to these sort of wake up questions (and a few answers). It takes leadership to lead. Misdirected minds just lead people in mis-directions.
When you first become aware than you are un-awares, like you are, you like to find and discover everything (from your mind) that is available. YOu like to share with others. This is true, at the earlier levels of awakening (though truly there are no levels....just restrictions we have placed upon ourselves).
The only issue is when you say you know. Then you are taking 'the lead'. Which in your case is just your mind saying it knows and no real truth is being heard (by you).
See, if you take out the level of responsibility you feel you need to have (to be present) and become a student of everyone (and anything that moves you), you leave the past behind and become present. You won't need to share or be seen. You will be here and real .....already.
No need to get into a battle. Who thinks there needs to be one? The mind.

I dig it Pieney!
You are always dropping jewels that seemed to get stomped into the mud. What patience you have with your chosen Sísyphusian task!
Your message is not lost. Not by a long-shot.
Keep it up!

Very nice. I was thinking of the question of discernment, and 'lies'.
Specifically the inability of people to understand if they are being misled or not.
And their continual situation of being misled. And then the continual aspect of their always searching.
Then the hopefully dawning of the realization of..like a weightlifter, to lift enormous weight, they need to..... work out. To improve the body.
Therefore...to find a way to no longer be mislead or to discern 'better' then one needs to ..... ?
For if there is no truth inside, how can one 'externalize'.... something that has ....no internal root?
~~~~~~~~~~~~
The only reason the illusionist can use misdirection successfully....is due to it already being inside the subject. Self delusion, internal lies, misdirection of the self.
Tsokdrug Rangdrol.
When you are resolved that all phenomena are empty and
of one taste,
You are free from accepting and rejecting samsara and
nirvana.
Because you have realised that everything has one taste in
being empty,
The delusion of fixating on enemy and friend collapses,
And there is no thought of dualistic fixation on self and
other.
This a condensation of many lengthy explanations.
In the Great Perfection, the ultimate summit of vehicles,
All samsara and nirvana has neither ground nor root,
But is of one taste in being dharmakaya, the primordial
state of enlightenment.
Drubwang Tsoknyi Rinpoche 1.
Don't wander, don't wander, place mindfulness on guard;
Along the road of distraction, Mara lies in ambush.
Mara is this mind, clinging to like and dislike;
So look into the essence of this magic, free from dualistic fixation.
Realise that your mind is unfabricated primal purity.
There is no buddha elsewhere; look at your own face.
There is nothing else to search for, rest in your own place.
Non-meditation is spontaneous perfection, so capture the royal seat.
On the 31st of October 2011, a monumentous event occurred, but unfortunantly it went largely unnoticed. On the this day, the 7 billionth current religion was ushered onto this planet. Though most of these religions choose to aggregate under a number of umbrella orginisations, causing great strife and confusion, certain facts remain.
Religion or spirituality is an intensely personal thing.
All religions and spirituality are fundamentally looking for, and saying, the same thing.
Every school of religious or spiritual thought is diluted by the aggregation process, because the only valid spiritual experience for each of us is our own.
Good and evil are concepts that only pertain to duality-based ego-consciousness.
Our true nature is unity.
Our true nature is Love.
Nobody knew, Nobody meditated and Nobody was enlightened
Everybody thought that Somebody must be enlightened.
Somebody thought that Anybody could be enlightened.
Anybody could have been enlightened.
And Nobody was.
Everybody said, Nobody should meditate.
Somebody asked if Everybody knew if Anybody meditated.
Anybody could have meditated.
So Nobody did.
Somebody asked did Everybody know
Everybody thought Somebody knew.
Anybody could have known, but didn't.
And Nobody did.
…........................
Everybody hears information.
Somebody will assume that they then know.
Anybody could know but does nothing.
So Nobody knows.
Information is not knowing. It is a map a guide.
Then we take the steps.
Real confidence is needed.
Don't let pride or fear get in the way,
you actually do know!
It's just a matter of waking up,
then we will know what love is.
