View Full Version : So you think you are special?

Are you?
Do you think there is something special about you?
Something that makes you different from everyone else?
Have you always felt that there is something about you that the rest of the world fails to recognize, but deep down you know that there is something extraordinary in you that you just feel it?
But are you right in thinking & feeling this way?
Is there anything at all that is in you, about your personality, about your body, mind, soul that makes you unique?
Or could it just be a false sense of 'I', 'ME', 'MINE', 'MYSELF', etc etc syndrome?
I am sure that each and everyone of you who read this answered 'YES' to most of the questions above.
Why then, in this world that we live in, we are just considered 'regular' or 'normal'?
Are you special?
Yes you are.
So am I.
SO is each and ever single person ever born on this planet.
Every one has some uniqueness about them.
If each one of us has finger prints which are completely unique, each one of us has DNA that is unique, hair follicles to unique, shall i go on?
The process of grouping all into one group & then dividing them arbitrarily in a manner which brings discord between them has been the weapon of choice for the other powers.
Divide & conquer...
It goes to such an extent that forget the part of feeling special, we reach a stage when we question ourselves!
If we are fit for this life! If we are fit for this world!
If we have what it takes to be a SUCCESS!
What an irony.. and how sad it is that beautiful spiritual beings have been reduced to this state..
we are all special in exactly the way we feel when we think about ourselves.
Each one of us has a purpose which we need to fulfill in this life time.
To fulfill this purpose, we are gifted.
we are each made special.
Every time you look in the mirror, know that you are looking at someone who is blessed.
Blessed with a talent. Blessed with an ability.
Each one of us has something about us that not one other single human would have.
You have a purpose.
You have a destiny.
You are gifted.
You are Special.
Special in a way only you know, in a way only you need to know.

From my perspective I am not special.
I am unique.
My totem is the ant.
I have a part, if I choose to participate. Making a difference would be nice, however I have acclimatised my expectations to match up with the nature of man.
Wonderful perspective -- that we are special. Same line that hierarchal structures use to groom people to perform 'special tasks' that bends ones morals and ethics.
I believe thinking of being special is a slippery slope, however, if one wants to go there, nothing like giving it a full commitment to truly test the boundaries of the consequences.

Most of our lives we are taught that the only way you get ahead in this world is by being more special than your fellow man, working harder, learning more, faster, stronger, smarter. It has never been about the competition in the race it has been about getting back up after we have fallen down and helping those around us to do the same, so that everyone crosses the finish line. I do believe that we are all unique, gifted, and Special individuals

It is interesting when we look at some of the ideas we find lying around in our heads and our speech. The two words, 'get ahead', for instance. Get ahead of what, of who? Once you start to look at the programming by examining the neurolinguistics you then begin to see how insidious the meme implantation is. You can also finally say to yourself, "That is ridiculous" and then begin to conduct your life in a more sane and community oriented fashion. Find great self worth in being an integral part of a whole. Even a brick can find value fulfillment in being a good brick.

"It is a well-known fact that our society is structured like a pyramid."
"The very few people at the top create conditions for the majority below."
"Who are these people?"
"Every meaningful change starts with awareness. In our culture, we not only praise psychopaths in the highest positions of power, but in many cases, they became our role models."
"Challenge your beliefs! We have delved into the world of psychopaths and heroes and revealed something crucial about us."

Being "special" is a very useful tool of psychopaths.

I was waiting for anyone to talk about this?
why do we need to be special 'about something'?
or in relative terms? or even special in a particular field or area or something very limited?
we are special because we are unique.
even if i were to have a twin, he/she would not be ME.
English is a funny language.
everything c an have more than one meaning & everything can be twisted to interpret something else.
when we see ourselves as special and see no need to 'benefit or profit' from it either at work or in a particular field, we will understand just how unique & special we are!

i would also like to add here that the 'powers' & those nice kind people who try to control our very thoughts have given a totally different status to the word 'special'
their close friends the media have also subliminally cast this in a very different light.
i think you and i and everyone here is special..
anyone can reach anywhere they want and anything they want with minimum fuss if they want it.
that is how we will move forward
that is why we are special

BE REMARKABLE!
When you take your last breath what do you want to be known for?
Do you want to be extraordinary or just like the masses of people?
I want to impact those around me and More!
Why is it that people believe the hype and do what the Gurus tell them to do?
I would much rather trust and believe in people that want the best for me.
If you just would dance to a different Drum, take the path less traveled by most you would be Remarkable and Impact so many people along the way!
When it comes to meeting and conquering the negativity in your life, here is a key question: what can you do, starting today, that will make a difference? What can you do during economic chaos? What can you do when everything has gone wrong? What can you do when you've run out of money, when you don't feel well and it's all gone sour? What can you do?
Let me give you the broad answer first. You can do the most remarkable things, no matter what happens. People can do incredible things, unbelievable things, despite the most impossible or disastrous circumstances.
Here is why humans can do remarkable things: because they are remarkable. Humans are different than any other creation. When a dog starts with weeds, he winds up with weeds. And the reason is because he's a dog. But that's not true with human beings. Humans can turn weeds into gardens.
Humans can turn nothing into something, pennies into fortune, and disaster into success. And the reason they can do such remarkable things is because they are remarkable. Try reaching down inside of yourself; you'll come up with some more of those remarkable human gifts. They're there, waiting to be discovered and employed.
With those gifts, you can change anything for yourself that you wish to change. And I challenge you to do that because you can change. If you don't like how something is going for you, change it. If something isn't enough, change it. If something doesn't suit you, change it. If something doesn't please you, change it. You don't ever have to be the same after today. If you don't like your present address, change it—you're not a tree!
If there is one thing to get excited about, it's your ability to make yourself do the necessary things, to get a desired result, to turn the negative into success. That's true excitement.

Here's a very unusual story.
Unusual in the sense that most people don't get to hear, see, or live this story. Such lives seem like fairy-tales.
http://stevebeckow.com/accountability/nwo-essays/frater-616-satanism-and-the-illuminati/
"It was 1971 when I attended my first meeting – only to be led into an existence of happiness, sexual excess, acquisitive arousal and comfort."
"Within a week of meeting my Luciferian mentor I was operating a number of travel businesses in Sydney and flying to international destinations at least four times a year."
"I had a Jaguar, city apartment, holiday home in the country, access to a yacht on Sydney harbour and women."
"I was young and considered to be an up and coming star within the shadowy twilight of the Satanic infrastructure."
"The nether world was at my patent leather-soled feet."
"My suits were hand-make Italian; the cravats and neckties, Chinese silk and my nymphomaniac maids, French."
“Petor Narsagonan” aka “Frater 616″ died March 25, 2004.
If one has a deep curiosity about what life could be like being "special," the URL would be one many speculate about.
They are rare. Most don't care to share this stuff with plebes.

Everyone is special, and so we are the same. I am special because it is recognised and perceived by others, because they too are special. One cannot alone label oneself as special. Indeed, we only become special by belonging - we are a species capable of infinite love and compassion, and so we can recognise the differences and abilities of others and embrace them as if they were our own. Do we not feel pride for the good and special actions of those we love? Even those we do not know? It is because we belong that we are special, and what makes us do special things. A truly special act is one borne out of love and the willingness to do kindness for others.
It is strange, because to be special has come to mean in this modern society to be akin to standing out - to being different. Even when I tell myself that I am special because of all that surrounds me, it seems a blatant contradiction. But, I know that really it is the very thing that makes us one.
A psychopath uses the concept of being special to act in a way that is driven by self, and which projects only fear to those around them. In this sense, they really are special in this 'modern' sense of the word. Sadly, those in the highest echelons of power often act in such a way, and they continue, somehow, to reinforce the idea that to be special is to be like them - to always try to better each other and separate and classify ourselves in this bizarre capitalist game that only they can ever win. Being successful alone does not make you special. Indeed you cannot be successful alone. Competition can be healthy, but it should not divide us so completely that it makes us forget who we really are.
It's rather like when an actor/actress lists all of the people they'd like to thank when they receive an award. They have realised what makes them special - everyone else. Perhaps we do not do this often enough in life.

I agree with Araxes- for many people now, 'being special', equates with 'being entitled'.
Whist we are all unique, we also have more in common with each other than we have differences. We should encourage and support each other as well as celebrate our individuality.

Yes. Each of us is unique, have a unique set of experiences, and that can be fascinating and curious to us all.
Uniqueness cannot be pigeon-holed.
To buy into the "broad and collective experience" called "materialism" reduces us to what we can own, and reflects little on each of our personal paths.
No denying that can be enticing, and cause much lust & envy -- however these are not the highest emotions that create eternal values.
If anything, an attitude of materialism simply bends our morals & ethics from what our path could normally be.

People numbs me, I have become comfortably numb
Looking beyond time,
See people running lost behind me
People numbs me when I find
They don't see what's in front, behind
So many lost the souls at this time
If I could only show then the right path
Nothing would numb me like I am
Please wake up, you are running
Right behind me, and no time
Our wold is arriving at its port
And you are being left behind
People numbs cause they are blind
They don's see what's life
Like a thief in the night you will find
That this vessel has arrived
I am so sorry, you were left behind
Please don't numb me more tonight

Is there anything at all that is in you, about your personality, about your body, mind, soul that makes you unique?
Or could it just be a false sense of 'I', 'ME', 'MINE', 'MYSELF', etc etc syndrome?
My sense of uniqueness got me into a lot of trouble. In AA we have the saying "terminal uniqueness".
But that is the false sense of "me" that you refer to. The one that says I am separate from the One/God and moves continually in a position of inferiority or superiority to maintain that position. Our conditioning around us reinforces this position. We are always being shown that to be greedy and selfish, is to be "special" - have a look at any celebrity mag.
It is when the false sense of self is seen through, that a "real" sense of being special and unique can blossom. One that is not seperate from the One but one that is an individual expression of the One.
We are all that Divine. Great thread.

Wonderfully said Jenci.. Thank you
Precisely the uniqueness in all of us that makes us special...
As against the 'society induced specialty'... which is nothing but a dumbing & numbing down of our human qualities
Thank you again

You my friend are just another pawn in the same game.
The pawn gets replaced, the game goes on.
But no one except you and the only people who matter in your life realized you were different and not 'normal'.
i have known a lot of people in different stages of my life, kids my age, college mates, colleagues etc who have a very similar story to tell.
and i have always believed that they were unique & blessed.
you had the courage to be different & live that way than to collapse under the burden & return to 'normalcy'
hats off to you & everyone like you who was made to feel low cos they were not normal

If you seek the truth in spite of all the lies you've been fed, then you are remarkable, and that makes you special.
As a member of this site for only two weeks, I have read from so many like-minded people, searching, sharing, loving, wanting to improve the state of the planet. That is special.
I've also read from one individual who irritates me to no end, but that's good, because it's a reminder of what the majority of people are like out there. They need to be educated, although I'm not sure this particular individual whom I will not name, is educatable.
Thank you all for being special. I'm honoured to be in your company.
Namaste!
