6.9-Magnitude Quake Jolts Japan

'A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 6.9 on the Richter scale has hit off the shores of Japan's southern Okinawa Island. According to Japanese officials the Tuesday quake which took place about 220 kilometers away from the island is not expected to cause a tsunami, Reuters reported. There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.'
