This probably isn't going to satisfy many of those who think of The X-Files as a documentary series, but the Obama administration has now put the White House on record as saying the government doesn't have any evidence of life "out there."

And the Obama team doesn't believe anything's being hidden from us.

"The U.S. government has no evidence that any life exists outside our planet, or that an extraterrestrial presence has contacted or engaged any member of the human race," space policy aide Phil Larson writes this week on the administration's We the People website.

"In addition," he says, "there is no credible information to suggest that any evidence is being hidden from the public's eye."

One might wonder: Why did the White House think this question needed to be answered?


Well, the We the People site offers folks a chance "to petition the Obama administration to take action on a range of important issues facing our country. If a petition gets enough support, White House staff will review it, ensure it's sent to the appropriate policy experts, and issue an official response."

And The Associated Press says more than 5,000 virtually signed a petition asking that the government "acknowledge an extraterrestrial presence engaging the human race." So, Larson responded.

By the way, after initially saying it would respond to petitions with 5,000 or more online signatures, the White House has since raised the bar to 25,000

Searching for ET, But No Evidence Yet

Thank you for signing the petition asking the Obama Administration to acknowledge an extraterrestrial presence here on Earth.

The U.S. government has no evidence that any life exists outside our planet, or that an extraterrestrial presence has contacted or engaged any member of the human race. In addition, there is no credible information to suggest that any evidence is being hidden from the public's eye.

However, that doesn't mean the subject of life outside our planet isn't being discussed or explored. In fact, there are a number of projects working toward the goal of understanding if life can or does exist off Earth. Here are a few examples:

* SETI—the Search for ExtraTerrestrial Intelligence—was originally stood up with help from NASA, but has since been moved to other sources of private funding. SETI's main purpose is to act as a giant ear on behalf of the human race, pointing an array of ground-based telescopes towards space to listen for any signal from another world.
* Kepler is a NASA spacecraft in orbit that's main goal is to search for Earth-like planets. Such a planet would be located in the "Goldilocks" zone of a distant solar system—not too hot and not too cold—and could potentially be habitable by life as we know it. The Kepler mission is specifically designed to survey our region of the Milky Way galaxy to discover Earth-sized, rocky planets in or near the habitable zone of the star (sun) they orbit.
* The Mars Science Laboratory, Curiosity, is an automobile-sized rover that NASA is launching soon. The rover's onboard laboratory will study rocks, soils, and other geology in an effort to detect the chemical building blocks of life (e.g., forms of carbon) on Mars and will assess what the Martian environment was like in the past to see if it could have harbored life.

A last point: Many scientists and mathematicians have looked with a statistical mindset at the question of whether life likely exists beyond Earth and have come to the conclusion that the odds are pretty high that somewhere among the trillions and trillions of stars in the universe there is a planet other than ours that is home to life.

Many have also noted, however, that the odds of us making contact with any of them—especially any intelligent ones—are extremely small, given the distances involved.

But that's all statistics and speculation. The fact is we have no credible evidence of extraterrestrial presence here on Earth.

Actually, the government's current credibility factor is so low (and they well know it), that one could interpret this latest statement as a clever form of reverse disclosure. In any case, there is not going to be any kind of full disclosure from the Government, at least in the foreseeable future, but more and more people are going to find out anyway. I remember some time back when Disclosure was the hot topic and David Wilcock and some others were sure it was imminent, the rumor was that it had finally become a real possibility because France had threatened to Disclose if the US didn't.
I suppose France got punished for that by some black op retaliation, and the matter was dropped once again.

If enough countries agree to disclose, there would probably be more safety in numbers.
A lot of people think that change is not going to come quickly enough without Disclosure.

There is a certain "love" quotient that needs to be present on Earth prior to disclosure. With the dark ones in full disarray eating their young and each other, this has been delayed. The current governments are still very much under the control of the dark ones ~ most of the individuals involved need to be removed one way or another. Not speaking of killing but rather resigning or being taken out of their places of power.

Even military groups are so compromised there is no real leadership among the dark ones in control at present. Further, just prior to disclosure all weapons will be visiably and very publically nullified and rendered harmless, this alone would frighten the children if further preparations were not made prior to these upcoming events.

This is an excellent documentary about high officials within the government and their experiences with UFOS.

Last night on Coast to Coast, Richard Dolan
UFO researcher Richard Dolan reacted to the White House administration's formal statement on UFOs. They could have said this is a valid phenomenon that deserves more attention than its received, but the govt. wants to avoid addressing such topics as alien abduction and secret recovered technology, he continued. Dolan also talked about well documented UFO incidents, such as a case written up by the Coast Guard, which occurred in March 1988 over Lake Erie, in which an aerial object hovered over the frozen water, and caused the ice to break.

We would have to compose different styled petition ..in my sober minded opinion, with small chance for justice yet a chance ..if many people support it we could still achieve something.

We'd have to ask for open, transparent and accessible scientific panel who would investigate witnesses, encounters, traces of evidence of life more advanced than human on the Earth.

Spot on my friend. Actually, there´s a chance they are not lying.

Were´s the evidence? Pentagon? Army? Who knows...

Maybe all the evidence is kept secure by even one of those obscure private military corporations...

I don´t think the president has access to all the info. Presidents change all the time, and someone don´t want to take the risk to have their dirty secrets disclosure by the will of a president.

I´ve watched a documentary a few days ago where they say that, currently, there´s not official agency responsible for investigating the UFO phenomenon. So, if there´s no official agency for that, the official answer will be always that they don´t know anything. And officially, they are not lying.
