Thanks Jagman for posting this, I will listen to this show, it may give me some answers to years old questions.

This topic reminds me of something that frightened the life out of me many years ago; I live in the UK. When I was 16 years old, I would cycle to work cross country, some 6 miles down single track lanes surrounded by fields and woodlands. I rode along this road making the journey twice a day, as my boyfriend also lived in the same village where I worked and I would meet up with him each evening - I was cycling on average 120 miles each week and did this for three years, so I knew these lanes like the back of my hand.

I was returning home around sometime after midnight from an evening out. The night was absent of a breeze, it was a dark moon and very peaceful. I was cycling at a gentle pace when I heard something rustle in the hedge bank next to me that edged along the lane. At first I thought it was a deer and ignored it - but the rustle of leaves and twigs snapping continued travelling along with me. I started to peddle a bit faster - 'it' too speeded up. I speeded up again now getting nervous as I realised I had now passed several fields with thick hedges and whatever was following me on the other side of the road hedge had somehow managed to get through very thick hawthorn hedges without losing speed - as if the boarder hedges did not exist. Listening to the sounds of 'it' running, it became clear to me it was on two feet – so it wasn’t a deer!

I was now completely freaked out - whacked my gears into top gear (10th gear) and peddle for my life - I would have now been cycling around 30+mph and this 'thing' was still level with me, having now passed through at least 10 boundary hedges. This continued for around 10 minutes - although it seemed a lot longer - until I turned a corner and started to cycle down the steep hill into a valley and the 'creature' decided thankfully to not follow me.

I had to cycle this route every day, and did so for another year and never heard or experienced this again - Thank God. To this day, I have no idea what it was, as I never got to see it’s form behind the road hedge - but whatever it was, it definitely ran on two limbs crunching on leaves and snapping twigs as it ran - yet had the ability to somehow 'run through' impenetrable hedges and fences – that I checked out in daylight the next day. After long contemplations, I suspect that whatever it was, it was not quite of this world/dimension.

I would love to hear from anyone who may either have experienced something similar or has ideas or information as to 'what' it may have been.
