View Full Version : "Puzziling structures" found on YU55

NASA has announced that it has found "Puzzling structures" on YU55
"a number of puzzling structures on the surface that we don't yet understand. To date, we've seen less than one half of the surface, so we expect more surprises."
http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/asteroids/news/yu55-20111108.html
From Richard Hoaglands facebook
The nationwide Emergency Alert System (EAS) test did NOT take place today!
Portions of the nation DID have "some kind of "test" (in San Diego, according to our first-hand reporter, local television broadcasts were interrupted for 35 full minutes!).
In other sections -- like here, in Albuquerque -- NOTHING.
If, as we speculated earlier, this much-ballyhooed "test" was actually designed to allow the White House to comment on and calm fears around "anomalous behavior" of YU55, the fact that AFTER YU55 flew by without incident, such a "test" was also canceled, should not surprise us ....
And, so far, there has been NO official FEME or FCC explanation of "why" this test did NOT occur as announced ... and planned.
Just more "weridness" ....
What DID happen is this remarkable story re YU 55, put out by the BBC earlier today, in which THESE words leaped off the screen--
"Although invisible to the naked eye, scientists said they spotted STRANGE STRUCTURES ON ITS SURFACE as it [YU55] spun past at 30,000mph (48 280.32 km/h) [emphasis added] ...."

Stay tuned ....

YU 55 Asteroid
Robert Morningstar writes, "Richard Hoagland sent out first pictures of YU-55 and it does not look anything at all like a "typical asteroid". I took the raw image (left side of first photo) and did some enhancements to improve the image. At 6:30 PM, on November 8, 2011, the aircraft carrier size asteroid flew safely between the Earth and our Moon at 29,000 mph.
YU-55 has an interesting geometry. The side facing the satellite telescope that captured it makes it look hemispherical or saucer-shaped. I am attaching my YU-55 photo enhancements for your study. To my eye, there seems to be too much symmetry in this object for it to be an ordinary asteroid. Let me know what you think. It looks more like a tiny moon. Thanks to Robert Morningstar

from what i can discern, the movie from nasa, doesn't really look like pic in your second post. it is more oval, or bullet shaped instead of round. of course, coming from nasa, i'm not surprised. i found the artists' rendering of what he sees much more fascinating. and what a coincidence that the emergency broadcast did not span the entire nation. seems like there might be something linked here. thanks viking. very interesting.

Linear Structures on Eros and Other Small Bodies
Debra L. Buczkowski
Linear structural features have been observed on several asteroids, and their presence has implications for the internal structure and evolution of the various bodies. Lineations observed on the Martian moon Phobos led to the prediction that other cratered small bodies would be similarly lineated. This article discusses different physical mechanisms by which linear features can be formed and describes and interprets the results of observations on several small bodies, including Gaspra, Ida, Itokawa, and Eros. Analysis shows that asteroid lineaments appear to have different origins and variable interior structures.
= snip =A number of different types of linear structural features, including grooves, fractures, troughs, and ridges (Fig. 1), have been observed on a number of asteroids.
(continued...)
-- This is quite an interesting article, btw. :)
The reason I posted this: It's totally normal for an astronomer to use the word 'structures' referring to an asteroid's natural composition.

Again, these are not image enhancements, itīs a completely free artistic image recreation.

Man we have to really start discerning truth-reality from all the Bull**** out there , now come on guys that pic looks straight out of Star Wars the empire strikes back ,
Richard Hoagland has once again stuck his neck out and this time in my opinion the guillotine has fallen !
We all know something is fishy with the original NASA pic , if they can get a clear picture in HD from galaxies 3 trillion miles away with Hubble , i dont see why they cant get a clear pic of this asteroid , but to call it a alienspaceship just like elenin was supposed to be , sounds totally ludicrous .
Sorry if i sound bitter and skeptic my dear friends ,but over the past years ive heard a GREAT share of Bull**** and Fantasy stories to plaster my walls with , WHAT is truth now days if even our own people in the ALternate media is conjuring up B.S stories to get attention

Dejavu. Didn't we have this thread yesterday? I agree Mr. Charles (above post). This is just so far out. People are just not willing to let the Elenin thing go. This is a rock in space people. Why don't they look at it w/ the Lucifer Telescope or Hubble or any one of the other thousands of telescopes on earth that are capable of taking a clear picture of this object? Now I'm reading on Red Ice Radio page that Hoagland is saying the asteroid could possibly hit the moon!! I predicted yesterday in another thread on this subject that he would come up with more fear porn within tow weeks. he said this on the 5th.
First its Nibiru or Planet X w/ the return of the Annunaki. Since that was a bust we are now supposed to be terrified of the debris following the comet. I guess after it doesn't hit the moon we can have a count down to see which planet it may hit. Maybe it will crash into Cydonia on Mars and create some more pyramids.
And again gang. Structural Geology is a sub-field of geology. Planetary Geologists are no different and refer to natural features as structures all the time. They are talking about geologic features not buildings. Look at all the b.s. that is being propagated due to the misunderstanding of a single word. Simply the word "structure" being used is enough to cause all of this speculation? When are you all going to admit that you got worked on the Elenin thing? The truth is stranger than any of this and you keep wanting something like this to happen. Somewhere the person who dreamed up all of this is laughing is rear end off. It s this kind of thing that is diverting all of us from digging deeper and finding out what is really going on. Gee whiz.

The Great Wall of Iapetus is an interesting linear structure. I also know this moon is also exactly 60 Saturn radii distant from Saturn, I don't know if Richard mentioned that in this research link.

I couldn't agree with you more. Enough of the fear...ALREADY. NEXT...Can we not do something positive, constructive, personally, in any capacity you see fit?

and there also is some talk about a missle being fired out of Vandenberg to knock it off orbit as it was much closer than we were led to believe/ off camelot portal Kerry's blog

I so agree, Cartomancer.
Fear porn is the word, and I think there's a danger of becoming addicted to fear, which is now being spread deliberately by Psy-Ops and the GWEN towers. Like you say, there is almost a willingness from some for a huge disaster to happen, and almost a sigh of disappointment when it doesn't happen. Also lots of people are making lots of money by selling their fear porn DVDs to a generation that grew up on violent computer games, all using NLP programming language and subliminal brainwashing techniques.
We need to wake up to this psy-manipulation written by Hollywood science fiction writers and reclaim our own hearts and hearths.

I think Hoaglands fantasy is getting the better of him... One thing after the other, not coming to fruition.

While you are likely correct, (the commonality of the word "structures")
Interior "structure" and exterior "structures" are not the same. Natural exterior elements are usually called "features" more often than not.
The reason I posted this: because it offers clarity.
Disclaimer: I am not saying there is buildings on this asteroid - only that "structures" as opposed to "features" is an interesting choice of words ... and clearly referring to something different than Bill's example, which was about the internal structure of moons. My 2 cent ;)

But, did the "National" Emergency Test (that was warned about for 5-months) take place or not? I think that's rather significant in the bigger conspiracy scheme of things.
