The ongoing effort to impoverish as many Americans as possible with chronic medical conditions continues to reach down to children. What parent would not spend their last dollar for their sick child?

From the Wall Street Journal, Panel Urges Cholesterol Testing for Kids (http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052970204358004577032194104839570.html):
Government health experts recommended Friday that all children be tested for high cholesterol before they reach puberty, in an effort to get an early start in preventing cardiovascular disease.

The National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute said a child's first cholesterol check should occur between ages 9 and 11 and the test should be repeated between ages 17 and 21. The American Academy of Pediatrics endorsed the guideline.

...
While broad screening could also increase the numbers of children prescribed cholesterol-lowering drugs called statins, doctors cautioned against reading the new guidelines as a call for using medication.

I am against it -- aghast for words.

In my view, cholesterol phobia and statins are a huge misdirection

For an example of what I agree with, see Stephanie Seneff's Why Statins Do More Harm Than Good (http://pi-bill-articles.blogspot.com/2011/09/why-statins-do-more-harm-than-good.html).

This is disgraceful!

The MS Medical establishment doesn't understand cholesterol and it's role tin the first place! They also have the public hoodwinked. So now they want to put children on statins? Statins will kill you. (they have a legitimate role in a very very small population)

Jesus.

Cholesterol is vital for the body, especially the brain. A low cholesterol diet stresses the body.

The cardio vascular issues are NOTHING to do with the levels of it in the blood.

It's all about the precipitation of it as solids on the walls of the blood vessels. The current craze for checking the levels in the blood is insane. I suspect it's really about building a network of sub-contracting testing labs for later eventualities.

A measure of cholesterol in solution in the blood has NO relation to the state of blood vessels now or in the future. It's a insane as measuring the amount of water vapour passing overhead to calculate how wet your garden will get. Totally bonkers.

The rate of precipitation is the issue. That doesn't yet have a standard test. It's highly unlikely there will be one in the foreseeable future either because that would shine a spot light on the question of what is really causing the precipitation. Dr Pete Peterson ( Camelot interview ) stated very clearly that the research people he was involved with showed that it was very likely caused by the chemical cocktail in the 'western' tap water.

Now THAT's another issue and I don't expect the governments to go there any time soon!

For a start you can substitute PLANT STEROLS a natural alternative to Statins so don't be fooled by doctors or drug companies.... ask the question when did you stop prescribing statins to any of your patients doctor?????????????????
