A new study published in Science Magazine makes the claim that aerosols emitted as pollution, along with carbon dioxide, offset much of the impacts of global warming.
The implications of this study are far reaching. In essence, if we clean up smokestack emmissions to help mitigate health effects, we will warm faster.
This sounds like a the case of a drug addict who will die of withdrawal symptoms if he tries to go clean.
