FYI:
"A senior Iranian lawmaker says the US has placed itself in the line of Iranian fire by deploying forces in the Middle East, hinting that confrontation with Iran could triple the price of oil.

“One can say that Iran is the pharynx of the US as most of the global oil passes through the Strait of Hormuz,” Fars News Agency quoted Member of the Majlis (Parliament) National Security and Foreign Policy Committee Mohammad-Karim Abedi as saying on Friday.

The Strait of Hormuz is a narrow waterway between Iran and Oman, which connects the Persian Gulf with the Sea of Oman. Iran has repeatedly warned that it will not hesitate in closing the strategic oil passage, in the event of a military attack on the country.

Analysts believe that a possible closure of the waterway would have serious consequences for the world economy due to greatly reduced supplies of crude oil, petroleum supplies and liquefied natural gas.

Abedi went on describe the recent threats against Iran as a bluff, adding that threatening Iran is a crime.

On November 6, Israeli President Shimon Peres threatened that an attack on the Islamic Republic is becoming “more and more likely.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak have reportedly been lobbying to persuade the Israeli cabinet for a military strike on Iran.

Iranian officials have promised a crushing response to any military strike against the country.

This comes as the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) accused Iran of conducting activities related to developing nuclear weapons in its November 8 report.

Iran has rejected the report as “unbalanced, unprofessional and prepared with political motivation and under political pressure mostly by the United States.”

Iran argues that as a signatory to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and a member of the IAEA it is entitled to develop and acquire nuclear technology for peaceful purposes."

All military personnel must disarm, defend your so called country, that's fine.If your country is destroyed by a natural disaster who is going to take you in?

I hope to see the day, in this life, when we have no more military forces on this planet.

Greetings, Friends!

What if this psycho-physical realm we take to be Earth turns out to be one of those training rooms in which ceaseless conflict is written into the script, for the edification of the attendees regarding the consequences of greed, hatred, and delusion? On the other hand, should our level of development (awareness) not require such a primitive experience, then we will not be directed here in our incarnational choices (unless some kind of Bodhisattva angle is being played).

Essentially, we're in animal territory here. Humans are animals, and these animals are habituated to low-level competition for perceived resources and survival advantages. The evidence is plain enough. Given that, if we want to put a stop to inappropriate acting-out animal behavior, we need to excercise Animal Control. This starts at home. We tend to let the animal run things. One only need observe oneself in the course of a day, inquiring into one's own motives and impulses moment to moment, to see how true this is. If we investigate deeply enough, we might even notice that we are, by tendency, living in chronic conflict with ourselves, often disturbed with fear and anger and self-loathing. As a result, if we don't kill each other off first, we get sick and die off quickly anyway and so never learn much in our forrays into this realm (and consequently keep coming back with "incomplete" marked on our report cards).

My Mate is an initiate in Sri Yukteshwar's Kriya Yoga lineage. She told me that his teaching was: "First, learn how to behave!" She likes to watch programs about animals, and there was one she was watching earlier today about this group of folks who have taken in almost 200 dogs that they have rescued from dogfighting venues. They teach these poor critters how to get along with each other, and have demonstrated amazing results. Then the group invites parolees from prison to come and work with the animals, and this helps the ex-convicts to learn how to behave too, so that they can be rehabilitated along with the canines. Makes sense.

Blessings!

I have no doubt, at all that you are correct.
I have posted similar elsewhere on this site multiple times.
So, if we had no military forces anymore, that would be because we don't need them.
We would have learned to behave.
