With you on this one Whitefeather.

An amazing soul.

Big Yes fan my whole life and a lot of that had to do with the spirituality of the lyrics.

Jon Anderson was our neighbor when I was living in the Costa Rica Embassy in Barbados...
we nearly had to litigate with him...but fortunately got things sorted out just in time.
Like many superstars he may have a great message in his head but you wouldn't want him living next door.
And it was never a noise issue, may I add.

Another addition:
To be fair here, I also made a lot of money in my early years, and took a big bite out of the apple....anyway, I have forgiven him and his wife.
Making so much money from early on means there hasn't been enough time to become mature
in the Here and Now of life... and the concern for ALL others is not there yet, so one can live in such a huge life style that one can't possibly avoid stepping on toes.
One of the reasons I have gone into a "Small Is Beautiful" life style...which leaves more time to check one's space all around. Being more considerate now.

Excerpts from this Song,......We need to live in Peace, we are the gardeners of the earth, waking up is all we really have to do and than we will be released. Learn to live in Peace. Some Great Messages here from Jon,,,,,that resonate with me and many I'm sure on this forum.

I just googled Jon Anderson Barbados and had my first laugh of the day.
I came to a fan webpage and found this
Mike sang the melody of "Shine" by the telephone, when Jon was on his holidays on Barbados in Latin America. After some time Jon arrived to London and came into Mike's recording studio with the ready lyrics for the song in his pocket and with his soul singing: "Shine, shine, she's my light"...

Barbados is now in Latin America??? Hehe....
But I guess the small gap where he had his house was Latin America in a way, as the only two other houses there were the Costa Rica Embassy and our Venezuelan landlord whose house was right on the beach next to Jon's house.
The forth property there was an empty lot right in front of us, where despite complaints from us and ignoring government regulations Jon kept his horses, which were always standing under a shady tree, just feet from our terrace and caused an incredible problem with flies. We nearly had to give up outdoor living.
Jon didn't care.

"Funny" you should bring this up. Yesterday was a very high Love energy day, as is today, and brought me down a path to heal some old karma. Later in meditation, the music of Yes came up and I was reminded of the feelings it brought me in my early teenage years. Soon, this song has always brought me such a yearning.

Thanks for starting this thread. I have always loved the music of Yes too - particularly Jon Anderson's voice. I didn't know he was on a spiritual journey. I also enjoyed the music from his partnership with Vangelis - Short Stories and Friends of Mr Cairo in particular.

Thanks Ulli for enlarging on your original post as my mind had gone into overdrive!

I love Jon Anderson. Was fortunate to meet him back when I lived in NYC in the 80s. Got to hear him talk at a private get together about his ET experiences. Fascinating.

Jon Anderson...... ah yes love the songs he sings!! Got into his music when I first heard 'I'll Find My Way Home' and another one I liked was 'Moonlight Desires' by Gowan and Jon did the background vocals. Its a good song.....

Aaah, Yes! Been a big Yes/Jon fan for long time. I had to chance to meet and talk with Jon after his solo concert in Istanbul couple of years ago. He's really an old & wise soul.

And here's a superhero team-up; Jon & King Crimson:

Remembered this thread while listening to Jon Anderson last night. Saw him at fantastic new purpose built venue 'Under the Bridge' - beneath Chelsea Football Club in London. Nearly 70 and his voice as pure as ever and clearly - from the banter - still firmly on his spiritual path.
