most odd, the sand or dust seems to have created mini dunes over the surface and in some sections almost completely covered it, I would guess that we can see vehicle tracks as well which helps to visualise its size. The shape and pattern seems completely random to me and I can not imagine a use for it at the moment.

I was also wondering what that bright blue area over to the left of the image was, as it seems truly huge in scale?

Are the chinese building in readiness for something? you dont go to that much effort in the middle of a desert unless you wanted to be on top of the game...but what!!?
