Washington 'fears over UK Olympics security'
The US is preparing to send 1,000 agents to Britain to protect its athletes and diplomats at next year's Olympic Games after raising repeated concerns about security.British officials are privately said to have raised concerns about the meddling by the "very demanding" Americans.The Home Office defended preparations, saying the International Olympic Committee had "full confidence" in Britain's plans.
A spokesman said: "The Government is committed to delivering a safe and secure Games that London, the UK and the world can enjoy."
