Nigel Farage needs no introduction: the famous Euroskeptic is one of very few men who has had the temerity to question, often in an abnormally high decibel fashion, the stupidity of the Eurozone leaders from day one. Now that he has been proven correct, he has every right to gloat, which he does to everyone’s delightful amusement in the European parliament. The look on the unelected von Rompuy’s face, especially as he watches his decade-long bureaucratic nirvana crash and burn every single day, is quite priceless.

I like Nigel Farage, he tells it like it is.... But overall I despair - totally - in the futility of the whole process. Watching the video above (plus numerous similar ones elsewhere), the question has to be asked - "to what end, to what purpose is the point of it all?" Looking around the room, I'd suggest the majority are either "in on the joke" and/or "milking the cow for as long as they can before it implodes" and/or "in complete denial of the abysmal failure of the EU project."

The situation is hopeless. Politics is hopeless. No amount of pointless debate can save the system when those you're debating against have no capacity whatsoever in either reaching a consensus or changing their fiercely rigid beliefs.

Unfortunately, that's 'Exactly' the 'Attitude' the 'NWO Globalist Mafia' are counting on DP...

It's frustrating, looking in on something that's obviously not working yet instead of radical action to make a positive change, it's more pointless debate.... And yes, I'm aware of the fact that for "the folk in the know", the EU project is probably going exactly to plan.

Just spotted this on the BBC - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-15790972 - Occupy London have taken over an empty banking building. This is what's needed to make real change, direct action. Either that or "peaceful non-compliance". Make the politicians and any shadowy figures behind the scenes an irrelevance. No need to destroy or break them, just make them irrelevant.

Thank you as usual for the update Jack. Our repeaters over here are not likely to cover someone actually telling it like it is like our buddy Nigel there. We have one of those kind of guys here too, and they won't cover him either. LOL

I have seen a few clips of Farage before and have always loved his words and style. This scene reminded me of the Iraw vet shouting at the NYPD and the look of impotence and discomfort that results when rats are told that their tails are showing. I think he had the applause of two or three people.

The smell coming from these creeps in suits is starting to really stink up the planet. They should all have to pay a stench tax that would be equal to whatever their thieving carbon tax would be. We'll call it even and then throw the lot of them in prisons.

Oh crap, just woke up from a delicious dream!

You know, I'm sure that guy purposefully mispronounces Farage's name.
I'm so glad we have Nigel Farage. It's good to know that there are people fighting 'up there' too.
He's criticised in the strongest terms for being 'anti-European' and xenophobic, but his defence of the Italian people (and the Greek people) here shows such criticisms to be as unjust as the EU itself.

the hole EU as an idea is wonderful .... As Farage said many times ... working together as one ... common trade agreements and other common topics to be agreed upon without having to fight over is the best ...

But what the EU "rulers" want atm is a USA like europe that is forced on us and them as the new congress.

I am a Greek and now i am living in Scotland. If anyone in this forums takes the time to see the working conditions, the pay, the benefits, the working time etc etc of the Greek people then you will realize how hardworking and how low our pays are. But we are labeled as lazy, liars and other nicknames... Plz find me where in this hard working EU you get paid 540-600 E a month for working 9-10 hours a day 5 or 6 days a week. thats the minimum wage in Greece, thats how much we get on our hands ...

Anyway thats a different topic.

Etherios, the Greek people are called all the names under the sun because it is much easier for the European Union to demonise you than to accept that your aversion to the 'austerity measures' are well founded and justified. They cannot accept anything that interferes with their power-lust.

Well my friend...The situation in Greece is indeed terrible, but it could be worse. The minimum wage in Brazil is actually half of your already low minimum wage.

However, in countries like Brazil, people are used to live with little. It´s terrible when you get your living standards reduced indeed, but be prepared, because I think it´s going to get much worse.

Cheers,

Raf.

Well its sad what you said about Brazil ... but this is about EU. Greece has similar if not more expensive everyday life as the rest of EU ... but get paid half or less than the rest of EU. I dont know how expensive is everyday life in Brazil ... i hope it isnt as expensive as in EU.

I left Greece cause i thought there was no hope few months ago. Now i am 100% sure there isnt...

So it isnt how we are used to live its that we cant survive in the Greece society with so little. When you pay 1 Euro for a half kilo of bread or 2 something euros for 1l. of milk. 0.70E for a small bottle of water etc etc ... the smallest rent i have found so far is 200 euros. Bah i can go on and on ... sorry that i am this negative but reality is worse.

The last few months that austerity has started to been applied you see cuts in what we get left and right. personally for electricity we were paying less than 40-50 Eu (including tax) and on the same bill they added council/TV/other Gov taxes of 60EU ... so we pay to the electric company 50% electricity and 50% other taxes .... 2 months ago they included a new 1 time tax/levi. For a 120 square meters flat you had to pay 600 Euros ... else they cut off your electricity.

anyway ill stop getting off topic and i am sorry

I´m really sorry for Greece. It is a great country and should be respected as it.

Well, in Brazil, we have cities like São Paulo, which is one of the most expensive cities to live in the whole world....

Anyway, sooner or later they will push us an American Union thing, so things here can and probably will get worse anyway.

Cheers,

Raf.

I like Nigel's Farage ideas too.

But lately I cannot help but feel that he is the controlled opposition... or used to test the reaction of people watching those kinds of ideas.

And what is sad and funny (in a way) is that mr Farage finishes his speech, and the guy that presides that meeting, in a poor English, thanks Farage (from the bottom of his heart I am sure) and then in flat tone announces the next speaker. This is all like a theater show to them, with Farage being the lead entertainer. He may be the highlight of the day, when they actually open their eyes, only to go back to sleep when the next speaker comes up. What a play... what a passion for ones work. You can read it in their eyes, if you catch them open.

Deep down, they all know, even Farage, that this talk is for nothing. They don't make the rules, they don't do things, they just debate and debate about stuff that has happened. And yes, occasionally they may pass a law to serve the private corporate interests, I mean the better health and well being of the people.

So way to go mr. Nigel Farage, but you're speaking to deaf and asleep people.

That post cheered me up. I hope you're wrong Ilie. I wish we had more people like Nigel in the Uk. He has my upmost respect.
