EU SAYS WATER IS NOT HEALTHY

THE EU was ridiculed last night after it took three years to issue a new rule that water cannot be sold as healthy.
In a scarcely believable ruling, a panel of experts threw out a claim that regular water consumption is the best way to rehydrate the body. The bizarre diktat from Brussels has far-reaching implications for member states, including Britain, as no water sold in the EU can now claim to protect against dehydration.
Any producer breaching the order, signed by European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso, faces being jailed for up to two years. It took the 21 scientists on the panel three years of analysis into the link between water and dehydration to come to their extraordinary conclusion.
Last night the decision of the European Food Safety Authority’s panel on Dietetic Products, Nutrition and Allergies was labelled “beyond parody”. Ukip’s deputy leader Paul Nuttall, who sits on the European Parliament’s Public Health Committee, said: “I had to read this four or five times before I believed it.

Cant solve the worlds problems with the same thinking/tactic that created the problem to begin with. Think Alex collier said that if I remember correctly.

Yes, I'm aware of that! :)

My line of thought is that politics has a hell of a lot to answer for, and the solution to the problems in the world surely can't involve the root of them as part of solving them.

The thing is, we delegate too much power to a handful of people who for the most part are pursuing different agendas in the grand scheme of things.

That is the point nugget.
The cause can't be the solution as well.

As you suggest Your Darkness, the politics are the important product which ensure the control machine to run.

People should turn to themselves, and start a parallel life not involving any political party, anything which is the part of today control structure. All the political power lies in the number of people following them. Imagine a pre electoral meeting with a fireworks included and nobody comes. It's the ultimate nightmare of any politician. So I think we should work on that. And it's easy.

The other day some people from the town council knocked on my door trying to present me I don't know what about the elections and voters rights and so on. I told them that is very nice they pop by, but right know and up to eternity I am very busy scratching my ass, so no time for them. Imagine 20 million people making the same reaction. All their power goes down. And this is one of the goals to achieve the critical mass of self awareness starting to collaborate with people around you to get the results which can better any social problem. Never rely on institutions. they are one of the lower layers of the control pyramid, but still part of it.

Amen on that! Although at some point people some degree of organization among us is only natural.

Making such 'decisions', it seems they are desperately looking for sth to worry about...:eyebrows::der:

Let's go then; can't wait for the whole thing to collapse, at last.

out on a limb here, but...

I'll raise my hand and say... Ron Paul in 2012

A slight change in direction and we journey onto a different destination.

The figurehead means nothing, when the whole system is corrupted.
Even if Ron Paul tried to do stuff, how long would he breathe?

Often, the threat to those a politician loves is most effective. They all cave in the end.

thank you Chiquetet (the little one in Catalan)
About organization. It's natural that we are not talking about some anarchy or some chaotic Holywood scenario, the organization is a vital part, but based in knowledge, respect and most importantly, the responsibility of every individual of the task he is performing. Also the self control to avoid any abuse and any mistakes, so you look after me and tell me when I do things wrong, and I look after you, but no dictatorship, just a mutual respect because we know that nobody is better, just different.

A politician's clout is measured by the budget s/he controls. Maybe we can break away from the money economy sufficiently so that by the time they have finished playing with figures on a computer screen they will discover that everyone else has left the building.
