This is for the benefit of those who, judging by the evidence of the last 2 months, appear not to know that the moon orbits the Earth. It’s not an astronomy lesson, rather just a list of things you ought to be aware of.

The moon orbits the Earth every 27.3 days.

On any night you can see the moon, it will not be in the same place as it was at the same time on the previous night.

During the New Moon phase, when the Moon is between Earth and the Sun, You will not be able to see it, there’s nothing to worry about, it hasn’t been stolen !

The next 3 New Moon dates are – Nov. 25, Dec 25, Jan 23.

So please, please please please, let’s not have any more threads on these dates asking what’s happened to the moon !

Plenty of detailed information online, try Wikipedia :

Perhaps this could be stickied? And may I add,

Pink Floyd notwithstanding, There Is No Dark Side of the Moon. Because the old sausage is tidally-locked the same side (more or less) is always (for now) facing the Earth. The side furthest from us is often referred to as the Far Side.
