Strange Lights Flashed across the sky close to 12:30 EST in Bridgewater, NJ on 11/23/2011

Large illumination with a buzzing sound. First video is the closest the other video has three separate clips. There is some strong language in the second video.

I think it is sheet lightning, it happens when the actual bolt is hidden within the clouds, and all one can see is diffused light coming from the discharge within clouds. I am not an expert in meteorology, and if someone could weigh in on that, it would be great.
Thank you for your great post

I have seen that many times in the past it did not look like that sheet lightning will flash for several seconds but usually will not last that long, also the color changes. I have never seen lightning change so many colors,

Well, it might be fireworks at distance.

My question is what are the clouds hiding above them?

OMG that is not lightening of any kind. Sorry, NOT lightening.
I don't know what it is, but I do know what it's not.

Could be swamp gas. lol

I like Robert J's conclusian.
If you have never seen a transformer blow up, it is a sight reminiscent of revelations.
When I was a kid, a car hit a light pole a couple miles away, and the resulting explosians looked just like that.

It was much closer though when I was a kid. I thought for sure world war 3 was starting and I was about to get fried by a nuke.

Not all of these types of occurrences are exploding transformers, though. I'm just wondering if this one was a transformer.... Too bad there's no way to contact the person who made the video and find out what it was....
On the other hand, from what I've learned, there are cosmic battles going on all the time; and sometimes they end up low enough for us to hear or see, or invisible to us....though I wonder why we wouldn't need to know that someone's fighting over us is beyond me.
I wouldn't rule this out as cosmic/paranormal...

Interesting! I live about 40 minutes from Bridgewater NJ. I didnt see this light-show, maybe i was too far. I highly doubt it was transformers exploding. My Perspective is: It is an anomaly without a doubt.
