Waste, conflict, destruction and pointless pursuits.

We are made of the stuff of the earth, our very essence is Gaian. Our collective consciousness is in deep communion with Gaia while currently the planet is coopted by an external strain of genetics and intention that wishes to shift the planetary body for their own purposes. Most people love the world and if life were easier for them and they lived more in tune with nature, would gladly take care of it. It has taken a non-stop mental and spiritual war that has gone on for millenia to get humanity to the point of almost total subjugation to an alien agenda, BUT, it remains innate only to the minority in control. Once their dominance is ended things will change. Humanity's legacy to the earth is one of love subsumed beneath lust. Lust is the Present and self-gratification, Love is the Future and service-to-others and the world. Humanity's legacy to the earth is the expression of duality, of materiality manifest, the culmination of a cyclic expression of creation and destruction. Our legacy is exactly what it should be, at this point in time along the spiral.

You're probably right, when looking at the overall situation, but depending on where you zoom in, the opposite is true also. Then again, a legacy is what is bequathed to someone, right? So I'd say a monumental task (> being a proper steward for this planet) and lots of experience.

On Earth: What is the Human Legacy? - WE HAVE NOT YET BECOME

What is our legacy?
What is the one thing we would be known for by an alien race?
An alien race from some faraway place/time with advanced knowledge?
What compels them to visit here and tarry, spend time and effort studying us, like our own earth scientists study the biology of our planet? Intently, held rapt by some unnamed something, and diligently, they observe, experiment, experience, guide and manipulate the earth beings (all infered by op). Why?
Are we bags of meat to them? Packaged assemblages of DNA coding, unique and valuable in some way? Do we have some other secret resource, the quality of which impels them to expend massive amounts of resources in order to obtain them?
Or is their interest here more global and planet-based, including our minerals and perhaps other hidden resources?
Are we just in a favorable galactic location, just off some inter-galactic freeway?
What ARE we known for throughout reality?
What is our legacy?
Beats me?!?

Seems obvious....
we're a parasitic virus that consumes and destroys everything we touch, including ourselves,....
eventually there will be nothing left.

Unfortunately, a "Legacy of darkness" Currently predominates on this planet Earth, wherein the systems, institutions, traditions and power structures of human civilization are based, to a significant extent, upon the negatives of greed, hate, fear, dishonesty, ignorance, violence and the concept of "Command and control" Of the naive masses by the privileged few.
The result of this legacy of darkness is the large-scale suffering of humanity.

I find this question causes one to say a little something about themselves.

I find this question causes one to say a little something about themselves.
Maybe, maybe not.
We are all corrupted, without exception, so it may.

What I say is that we are the earth, we are an expression. Like a flower is to a field ~ or a field to a hill... ~
There is no consensus to this question within us, so then I say,
we have yet to express ourselves. Humanity has not yet "bloomed"

That we're errant in our belief structures. Slow to accept universal truths. Those who expound these ideas are " dealt with".
That the demons have run amok, while the silent majority trade comfort/non confrontation to be left alone.
None would readily agree that they themselves are to blame, " that's the way it's always been".
Sin has shadowed the face of humanity. Enslaved by their own design.
Yet...
A heartfelt laugh of a child. Love in someone's eye. A good sumaritan.
Those who still hold hope for a better world. A sensie who selflessly devotes their lives to teach the way.
A musician who's entire being is devoted expressing the inexpressible.
A dualistic being. In a dualistic universe. One love.

There was something special about this civilization!!!! No matter the agenda, lies, deceipt, violence, corruption, they wanted and did believe in the Goodness of Humankind!!
It is too bad that we lost them before we could figure this out :(
But then again we have been here before, many times over, wanting what they have even though they don't seem to know what it is either or act on this goodness toward each other as a species and civilization. It would be great if we and they get another chance sometime in the future :)

I hope that never happens.
I like having the different ethnic groups, the different languages, the different cultural expressions.

Then we fail and fight forever, we are all the same but broken into pieces when we are put together we will be whole.

It is very possible to have both, Lordy. I like your idea and would never want to lose the uniqueness. We all know mutts are the often the best in temperament and health but who would want to give up being able to gaze upon the butt ugliness of an English Bulldog or their even funnier Boston Bull Terrier runt cousins. The annoying yap of those countless rodent sized dogs. The utter ridiculousness and emasculating effemininity of a Toy Poodle.
I use the above dogs for humor only. I love the distillation that is represented in specific ethnicities of the Greater Human Race. Curry is great but the individual spices that make it up are the Noble ingredients we would be at a loss without.
Curry as the only taste? That would be annoying. Pizza spice?
I totally agree with you, M'lord.

We don't have to be one gigantic blend to be able to be whole.
It isn't about skin colour or any of the other things, it is about peoples state of consciousness.
Waste, conflict, destruction and pointless pursuits.

I can't see how an alien going past and observing us for a while could come up with anything other than this opinion.
People die by the thousands daily from preventable issues, wars destroy people, animals and the very earth itself and the most important thing?
What dress does some hollywood clotheshorse have on today?
Who won dancing with the stars?
Who will win american idol?
Who is going to win the FA Cup?
Nuggetry of the highest order and to be despised and spat on by all people who stand for truth and equity.

See, I love the human family and all of its cultures.
We start blending them into some human soup and after a few generations what are we left with?
