Now, besides the fact that refusing payment for no valid reason should annul any debt, unlawful detention isn't a good idea.
This is screaming for a RICO suit.

Can you believe the stupidity of this cop?
This was one comment under the video.
In the end this police officer had to pay $17,500 to the fire captain after it went to court. It's on the internet.

incredible, absolutely incredible, our freedom is being taken away like a slow dripping faucet, while the people are busy watching stupid t.v. programs like reality shows, sports sports sports, hollywood gossip, award shows for best singing, movies, dancing etc. anything that the "top of the pyramid" can think of to distract their chattle and having them with their heads down grazing in the grass, being so unaware. the camera's on highways are incredible, some of the poles have 8 camera's and the other poles at intersections are full of camera's. wake up american's ! President Thomas Jefferson once said" I prefer dangerous freedom over peaceful slavery." a good quote of food for thought. lord sidious, thank you for your helpful and keen observance in sharing a wealth of eye opening information. namaste, peace and love universally :)

WOW.
Being detained by a toll booth operator? Under what ACT?
What offence has a person paying with legal tender commited in order to detain them for further questioning? Questioning about what, no offence has been committed.
WTF?
Its completley illogical.
What next being detained by parking warden?
This is a John Cleese skit if ever there was......

And, as you would know, that toll booth operator doesn't even have anymore arrest power than the ''citizens arrest'' that everyone has.
What has me stumped is that people just accept it.
If they tried that with me, I would say ''Yeah, call the cops'', been there done that.
Another story I will tell you avalonuggets one day.

A true story concerning police. My son and I were living in a trailer ,couple of years back, and our next door neighbors were a man named Shane, his wife and son. Now I was sitting on my couch watching T.V. and heard a knock on the door " Bytheville police department we're looking for Shane **** " and they came right in. I said "hey what you doing ?" and the female detective said "we know he's here his wife said so" they looked in every room and ask me where he went. I told them "he wasn't here and hadn't been here". They were rude and she was being a total A- hole.
I always lock my door now. Anyway after they left I went to Shane's trailer and ask his wife why did they send the police to my trailer? Shane came out of the backroom and told me he was hiding and his wife "just told the cops something" they said they were sorry but I did tell them in a very stern way if they ever did that again the cops would come back and arrest me for fighting.
I know the police have a tough job but some of them just get carried away with power. I guess she thought I was a thug since I lived in a trailer. I've known some good cops but overall I trust none of them.....even the good ones....

And fair enough too....
In that situation the cops couldnt lawfully detain you either, because no offence has been committed.
The fundamental basic is....
Police only have the power to detain/arrest when (at the bare minimum) there is good cause to suspect an offence has been commited under a section of an ACT, or an arrest warrant has been issued by the courts.
Other than that is all consentual.
Police are empowered by ACTS, Police do not have power in their own right.............I would not want it any other way because sadly enough there are cops out there which like your second video shows have very little commonsense.
I have never understood cops who get a power rush from the job. There really is none.

Check this one out, this is from Perth.
These guys aren't even Police, they are either transit guards or revenue protection.
There are two types of badges.
And look at the age of the big hero in blue.
He doesn't even look old enough to shave, let alone be issued pepper spray and handcuffs.

Hmmmmm...... It would be interesting to hear the dialoge.
However before you deploy tactical options you need to consider what offence has been committed? Is it worth esculating? After all the potential victim here would be the perpetrator.......(train driver too)
From what I can observe that was all about getting onto the railway tracks, and false details given.
How about a warning and see ya later?
Man there is a lot more going on out there.........
I dont know is that a big offence in Perth???

I was once pulled over by a cop who proceeded to make small talk. He eventually asked if i was single! I was a teenager then & quite naive. I'd feel terribly sorry for the guy if he pulled me over now.... Like a little wrapped package full of..... Dynamite! *tee hee*

They can give you a fine on the spot, but what these clowns did isn't that common, or I haven't heard of it.

Dear Kristo, I have even worse stories than yours about cops, one in particular which was an obscene nightmare. I also wish that cop would pull me over now. He'd have something to reckon with.
And about the government knowing best, well, they know best as far as their own interests are concerned, but about protecting the people, well, that's a sick joke.

Four years ago, I was violently attacked by my partner because I asked her to return the $10,000 she stole from me and pleaded with her to stop threatening to kill my son, who had done nothing wrong to her. I did not fight back, I just stood there and let her shred my clothes, body-slam me into a brick wall several times, punch me about a dozen times, hit me in the head with her shoe and her mobile phone. I decided to defend myself by blocking her attempted blows and I passively tried to prevent her from destroying my computer, TV and other property.
In the middle of her vicious attack, I called the cops. They arrived surprisingly quickly, then angrily and impatiently stood by as I loaded some of my things into my van. As the police left, they threatened to lock me up. I said, "but I called you to help me because I was being physically attacked and my property was being destroyed." Their response was, with an intimidating finger-point that hit my nose, "you have been warned."

Lol, they spent $32k on paperwork just to net $16k of counterfeit money. Doesn't this just perfectly sum up the bureaucratic stupidity, bordering on retardation, inherent in the whole system?

there are some news articles up atm on the net reporting about a 5 year old that was arrested for assaulting an officer... and was tired up and help tied up for hours. i am still wondering how awfully strong that cop must have been to be forced to tire up a 5 year old....
Not to say how on earth people call the "police" to help them with kid problems o.O
p.s. found it ... Californian 5-year-old handcuffed and charged with battery (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/8914514/Californian-5-year-old-handcuffed-and-charged-with-battery.html)

What an idiot of a cop.
A five year old kid ''refused to calm down'' and so the solution is to hog tie him and take him for mental evaluation?
The cop shouldn't be retained on the force and to make it worse, he is a lieutenant in the force.

American NWO Police State is really now rearing its 'Ugly Head' Down Under
...and our 'Good Cop's' are leaving in droves...
SA Police officers turning their back on the force
THE number of police on the beat in South Australia has gone backwards for the first time in five years.
The latest SA Police annual report shows the number of newly sworn-in officers was 17 fewer than the number who had quit. The 2009-10 annual report had predicted growth of 88 officers.

Bravo. In addition it seems that at least fifty percent of all television programs broadcasted in America are about the police and how they are trying to protect and serve us. I am sick and tired of seeing the police on TV being made hero's while this post displays something closer to the truth. I think police must get in a lot of trouble if they make a mistake because all they ever do is lie to cover up what is really going on. Police are people they should be allowed to make an honest mistake and not have it destroy their career.
They are so afraid that they will stop at nothing including locking you up for several years to cover up a stupid mistake they made instead of admitting it. After they put "x" amount of effort into something it does not matter if the subject is guilty or innocent. They are going to get their money out of you because they spent so much time on you.

People have been programmed to obey anyone who appears to have any kind of "authority". I learned at a young age that you can make anyone believe anything you say if you speak the words enough authority in your voice. Most people will fall for it every time.
Cartomancer, you're so right when you say, "They are going to get their money out of you...". Courts are big money-makers.
If it comes from the government, it's all lies and it's bad for you.

Ever heard of "promotion to [your] level of incompetence"?
[Postscript]
It's not something I have ever studied, but isn't it generally the case that if someone is going to push large numbers of counterfeit bills out, they are more likely to use low denominations because those denominations are less likely to be examined?

well i was told off by a USA friend yesterday ... he said these events are very few and doesnt represent US public or police. These things always have happened its human nature.
As i grew up in Greece i am not used to these situations... i dont know if you all agree with him but he was 100% that this isnt a mental training to accept these kinds of beheaviour. Its isolated incidents he repeated and disregard any comment i made.
he works in an office that helps people go to court against fed agencies ... so he says he knows more than i do.
p.s. how can this be human nature and accepted as "it happens" ... by society o.O

I hear what he is saying, but I disagree.
The entire system in America is more militant than anywhere else in the world.
The mentality of people involved in security/law enforcement is one of ''do what I say because I say'' and if you don't, well you saw the video.
And there is another point, a peace officer is involved in upholding the law, not enforcing it, that is the job of the judiciary.

Blind are those who cannot see the chains that bind them...and how sad.
The attacks on the twin towers on 9/11 have been used as an excuse to get rid of our "freedoms" (such as they were) and to militarize the police all in the name of keeping us "safe". We're fighting and endless war on an emotion...terror.
Some people accept whatever excuse the government comes up with. It's easier than opening pandoras box filled with the bs and lies we've been told.
The fact of the matter is we have a law called "Posse Comitatus" that says the military cannot turn on its own people. To bypass that law, using the excuse of the War on Terror and the need for the police to be ever vigilant and prepared in the event of another "terror attack", the police have been militarized. We've been programmed by television and movies, lulled by fluoride in the water, and keep busy trying to survive the loss of jobs and homes.
Your friend has not been affected by the economy, corruption in government and police brutality yet. It's okay. Just keep him in your positive thoughts. He will awaken to the truth when he is ready.

Great Thread your Lordship. This is a necessary topic. People are not aware enough of the little ways that their freedoms on taken away daily. People need to be more ready to stand up for their rights and ask these people in charge where they think they get the authority to do what they do. After watching these videos and the masses of black friday sheep yesterday on the news it makes me more fearful for this country. When are the people going to wake up and quit just blindly following.
