Sorry, I pressed the button too early.

This is a very disturbing documentary.

Can be viewed only in Australia...

As the West pours billions of dollars into the fight against the Taliban in southern Afghanistan, an ancient tradition (banned when the Taliban were in power) has re-emerged across the rest of the country. Hundreds of young boys living in extreme poverty are lured off the streets on the promise of a life away from destitution, unaware their real fate is to be used for entertainment and sex. They are the ‘Bacha Bereesh’, literally ‘beardless boys’, chosen for their height, size and beauty to sing and dance before an audience prior to being traded among the warlords and powerful men of Afghanistan. Bought and sold by their rich masters, most will suffer grotesquely: exhibited like a new horse or camel, beaten and raped. All efforts by the authorities to eradicate the practice have failed largely because the authorities themselves are involved. The film exposes the lack of support from those in authority and explores possible responses to the plight of children in this conflict zone.

No image needed :( It is enough for me...

People who abuse children are said to better hang millstone to their neck and jump into the sea... I pray they change their hearts quick...

God help us all and our sons and daughters.

When will all this madness end?

I am not a religious person, although I have my own unconventional ideas, perhaps like most of us here.....

We have to get rid of these people who take our children and manipulate them for their own agenda.

It makes me want to throw up.....really!

The way things are going? We have to get tough. Enough of being wimps, just watching this **** from the sidelines!

I've had enough. Have you?

One nanosecond after we all make it end.

But Lord Sid the issue here is that most people feel powerless and you do not.

Sure, so how do we help people to be in their own power?
Stop doing for them, show them how to do for themselves.
Stand by and get ready to help, but let them fall off the bike a few times for themselves.

Much of todays' powerless feeling arises because there is no button to change things on the TV remote or a website to go to. The remedy looks more like OWS or.......the American Revolution.........or withdrawing the energetic/monetary support that perpetuates things. It will take talking about these things in real face to face, in the flesh meetings. Then it will take putting whatever plan into action. A fire will continue to burn as long as you feed it or someone pours water or dirt on it.
