Snakes.........

a look at the act of consuming the hallucinogenic snake venom

quote below from wiki...... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snake_venom

"Snake venom is highly modified saliva that is produced by special glands of certain species of snakes. The glands which secrete the zootoxin are a modification of the parotid salivary gland of other vertebrates, and are usually situated on each side of the head below and behind the eye, encapsulated in a muscular sheath. The glands have large alveoli in which venom is stored before being conveyed by a duct to the base of channeled or tubular fangs, through which it is ejected."

"Snake venom is a combination of many different proteins, peptides and enzymes. Many of these proteins are toxic to humans and other animals".

"Snake venom's are generally not dangerous when ingested, and are therefore not technically poisons."

A couple of side notes here, are the modified parotid glands which are of course closely related to the paretal gland found in birds, fish and frogs etc,,,,and our pineal gland

and,

a noteworthy point here is that snake venom is not considered a poison when consumed orally !!

There is a very interesting connection between the modern day mostly occultist act of drinking snake venom,,,,,,(usually mixed with various different bloods,,,eg babies blood and, as is common practise, the blood from the snake that you just retrieved the venom from ),,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, and the effect it has on the pineal gland,,,,,,,

as a side note the word essene may come from the essene bush which is a strong hallucinogenic which would also be added to the snake venom,,

furhter side note, the religion of ancient Iran - Zoroastrianism used hallucinogenic plants to help the experiencer enter the realm of the gods

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zoroastrianism

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pahlavi_dynasty

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faravahar

shaman would have been recognised as serpent people

As many will know hallucinogenics have a tendency to stimulate the pineal gland and increase the production of melatonin,,, which not only acts on the immune system giving it a huge boost,, but alo assists in decreasing the effects of aging ,,,,,,

the snake is seen as a multi-culteral symbol partly due to this image of feeling refreshed and cleansed after the hallucination has worn off,,,just as with the snake shedding it's skin

( as a personal note ,i have felt this cleansing many times,(though not from drinking venom and or blood,,,,,i havn't and would never try this),, mushrooms cactus and lsd was my traveling carriage,,,,,)

as a side note those who scoff at the notion of christ,or the christ consciousness being a mushroom need to take a closer look at what is inferred by the allegorical statement that christ is a mushroom

There is a correlation between the snake shedding it's skin and reguvinating itself,,,,,and also as was referenced by another on here a while ago is a necessary component of existing in this dimension as an entity that doesn't appear to age and wishes to live for thousands of years,,,,,,,,,

There is also a connection to a snake shedding it's skin and the rejuvenating that goes with that process and, oddly enough, the process of the energy blasts that come from the center of the galaxy,,,,,,which is also a reguvinating process,,,and supposed to be quite a masonic occultist secret,,,,

The ritual of drinking snake venom is a major part of the "grail quest" the quest for secret knowledge,,,,as undertaken by initiates of many dark rituals carried out by the occultists

and many ancient cultures worshiped serpent like gods,,,,,,,,,,,who could mingle between the 3 mystical realms.

incidentally there are a few quite pertinent passages with regard to serpents and snakes in the bible,,,,,,,,,

and of course there is the seraphim,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

So when it comes to serpent esque entities and peoples not everything is quite what it seems,,,,,,,,

Interesting and thought provoking write-up Passiglight.
Plus I really enjoyed learning more about something I was not aware of.

My thoughts are that Mother Earth provides us with all the tools to help make our experience here on Earth an eventful one.

Having enjoyed visions from an altered perspective of magic mushrooms, lsd, ayahuasca, dmt, and ketamine, I would actually probably try snake venom too if I was introduced to it by a healer or shaman.

The Universe is so much more enjoyable to experience once the drama and fear have been removed. :thumb:

wow, thats great. have you ever brewed your own ayahuasca? i tried to twice, but never got the desired effects.
on a intensity scale from one to ten i maybe gone to three. know what i mean? no real breakthrough has happened.
its like planing a trip, going to the trainstation and noticing that your train has just left without you.

thats why i was planing on going to peru for a proper ceremony.
but now it seems like i could finally get my hands on some dmt crystals. so im not sure if and when ill go to peru.

i would like to know your opinion on the substances you've taken.
which did you enjoy most? which would you do again? what where the main differences for you?
but im not sure if this is the right thread for this discussion..
