Many have tried to describe the glorious Angkor Wat, but it is difficult. Angkor Wat, built in 1140 as a Hindu temple dedicated to Vishnu, the Hindu Trinity God of Preservation, has been a draw for Hindu and Buddhist worshippers from around the world for centuries. There are over 2,000 carved APSARAS, the Khmer word for ANGEL, and no two are the same. Built with overwhelming precision, the spectacular Angkor Wat is as amazing as any words can tell. A UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy

I would love to visit it some time. I'm lucky enough to have visited Chichen-Itza in Mexico in '94 and I think that compares. The energy I felt at that site was immense, so much that when I finally left in the evening I felt incredibly vitalized, but also had a pounding headache.

Angkor Wat is def on my 'to-do list'.

I've visited the Anchor temple complex and the detail and vastness of it is simply amazing. What equally staggered me was visiting the Anchor Phimai site. This was also a huge temple and and pre dates Anchor Watt and was the blue print for it, representing earth and the heavenly cosmos. Although the Anchor site is heavily influenced by Hinduism and later Buddhism. What was truly eye-opening about visiting the Phimai site is he realisation of the scale of the total Khmer temple complex which includes hundreds of temples across Cambodia and Thailand to map the stars and create a perfect astrological alignments for reasons we still don't fully understand. The naga which is heavily represented in all Khmer sites is particularly interesting due to the many possible explanations for it, of which non I'm yet to be convinced by least of Icke's reptilian connection. Although I haven't done a great deal of research on it.
