"Archaeological digs at the Anglican church's Indian residential school in Brantford, Canada have uncovered children's bones and other evidence of mass murder. The dig is organized by sovereign Mohawk elders and Kevin Annett of the International Tribunal into Crimes of Church and State."

Every lie has very short legs. It cannot go too far and will topple down eventually. And The Truth, as a lighter in substance than lie, has an "inconvenient" property of surfacing after some time. No matter how thick it is covered up with lies. It is simply designed that way...

These inquirys need our protection and the light of our attention. I am grateful for Kevin Annet and the bravery of our indigenous tribes to move forward in the face of a leviathon even within there own population at higher levels. May we all proceed in love and truth. Best Wishes

Man what a stain on my heritage , plus im Catholic , well a non believing one anywase .
This story came out a few years ago , from a Priest from within the church itself , the priest was fired , i forget his name .
From estimates they must have murdered over a quarter million Native American Canadiens over the past 2 centuries .
Sad , very sad indeed .
I feel terrible for the way the Natives here were treated , the were basically rounded up , thrown into Reservations"ghettos" if you can even call them that (wich IMHO are 2x as worst as any U.S ghetto you will ever see) . Sure they get handouts and dont pay income tax , but is that payment enough for Social Isolation and outright MURDER , i think not .

Thank you, ktlight for the video. And eric charles (for the link).
The Truth refused to stay hidden as the Crown and the Vatican are now finding out. They can't hide anymore....
In order to move forward, we have to reconcile the past.

I am truly sorry for what we have done to our Natives, to our children.

Why has this taken so *#@*%** long to investigate thoroughly? I listened to a story about this on an aboriginal news and documentary show, on CBC radio, over ten years ago! What gives with my country? And you know what really burns me, the fact that so many Canadians are so self-righteous. Like--"oh, we're Canadians. Things like that might happen in the U.S. but not in Canada, because we're just too nice and always have been!"
Sorry if I have offended any fellow Canadians, but some of you likely know what I mean.

I cannot resist an answer to these comments Autumn, sorry if it hurts: the righteous ones have not lived in Québec, obviously. (this viewed here from either side of the debate, but I am French, we do not agree with false rigtheousness - and we did the same to the Indian children nevertheless).

Flash, I'm not hurt, but I also don't quite get what you mean.

French Canadians were always flaberghasted at the "righteousness" attitudes of the English Canadians, even when imposing on a whole province the drafting in the last war for example, or putting us aside for the constitution accords, or...., constantly blasting us on the Ontario/Toronto's newspapers/radio/tv, or... Fair, yes, but not for French Canadians, that is how it was felt for centuries. Or just for having won the war centuries ago. We do not appreciate the Queen either, while she is well received in the rest of Canada, just saying... we do have another way of behaving/seeing the world and for it, the "righteous" always got on back with all their weight, exactly as it is happening in the US, the righteous being ready to kill in a war in order to get rid of .... Muslims, Al Queda terrorist that are in fact supplied by the US and Europe, etc etc. Righteous means only one way is good usually, the one of the righteous.
"Righteousness" is always detrimental to thinking and empathy because it is usually one sided, as it was and is for the Indian children.. This is what I meant.
And I do not appreciate more the "righteous" French Canadians, wanting to be pure French, for the exact same reasons as mentioned above.

Hi Flash, I have been really horrified with Anglo attitudes regards Quebec in the past, when I have bothered to pay attention to mainstream media. Remember when Leveque (I think that was his name) got flesh eating disease and lost his leg? He was being interviewed on CBC by some witless wonder. The question was, 'Now that you have had this terrible thing happen to you and you've been laid up in the hospital and had time to really think, do you still feel that it would be better if Quebec separated from the rest of Canada?" That was one of the most jaw dropping questions I'd ever heard...as if an immature man had gone into the hospital and emerged more mature, thoughtful. And of course, being more mature and thoughtful he would have changed his mind and embraced English Canada. That's self blind self righteousness. It's incredible. You wonder if people who think this way have so much as one friend who isn't just like them.
I don't think being Canadian, with this country's history of abuse of native populations and our boot-licking of America on the one hand, while bowing to monarchy on the other, should inspire respect. "But we have the best banking system in the world!" Yep..until next year.
