LOL . i was 5 and 6 when Dad brought me on some jobs and my leanring experience flourished from that .
The worst i did EVER and this pales in comparison to this show , I had to make a form to support a boiler , my dad said make the cement liquid , i was 14 so liquid cement to me was almost the viscosity of water in my mind , when i poured the CEMENT , it just shiat out of all sides flowing everywhere in the basement LOL ,

That was hilarious. Totally contrived but good for a laugh.
We have this much fun on jobsites every day with the green apprentices. Sending them for sky hooks or flourescent tube benders and they come back baffled - they couldn't find it. hahaha

I have a hard time believing that these shows are for real, Eric. It's too painful to watch. I'de much rather watch Holmes on Homes shows off of torrent when available.

I'm not sure which is more pathetic, the people who make this show for entertainment, or the folks that actually watch it.
In my mind, it serves as an example of human mentality from both sides.
Small things amuse simple minds I guess.
We should be focusing on more intelligent issues.

Actually its not contrived or made up .
What they do is , when they are ready to make a new season , they post on their site for you to nominate someone you know as the worst handyman , and then they make you do a lil project on camera and they go from there .
I just posted this to have a good laugh , everything is so negative right now , we need a little humour once in a while .

very funny thanks for posting im a tradesman and i noticed theres less and less pratical people being born lifes almost too easy everythings getting automated and everythings available from the supermarket in a nice wrapper its a throw away flimsy plastic society i know not everyone is handy but id love to see things built to last and more people trying to repair things rather than throw them away....ps my personal fave saying for the green folks is (go fetch a bag of dowel holes) i fell for it at least twice ha

Dowel holes ? not familiar with British terms Doyle ,
I sent an Apprentisse once to the hardware store lookin for 22.5Deg copper elbows , that got him driving around town and out of my hair for a while
