Observers watching January's total eclipse of the Moon saw a rare event, a short-lived flash as a meteorite hit the lunar surface. Spanish astronomers now think the space rock collided with the Moon at 61,000 kilometres an hour, excavating a crater 10 to 15 metres across. Prof Jose Maria Madiedo of the University of Huelva, and Dr. Jose L. Ortiz of the Institute of Astrophysics of Andalusia, publish their results in a new paper in Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society.

New Research Takes Deeper Look @ Venus's Clouds

Venus is known for its clouds of sulfuric acid covering the entire planet and its super-fast winds moving at hundreds of kilometers per hour, but our neighboring planet's thick clouds make it difficult for scientists to peer deep inside its atmosphere.

Now, researchers have used infrared images to spy into the middle layer of Venus's clouds and they have found some unexpected surprises.

Researchers Find Ice Feature On Saturn's Giant Moon

Rain, seas and a surface of eroding organic material can be found both on Earth and on Saturn's largest moon, Titan. However, on Titan it is methane, not water, that fills the lakes with slushy raindrops.

While trying to find the source of Titan's methane, University of Arizona researcher Caitlin Griffith and her team discovered something unexoldpected—a long ice feature that wraps nearly half way around Titan.

Scientists often search for water in space because on Earth, anywhere there is water, there is life.

Rovers on Mars are looking for present-day water or ice as well as signs of ancient rivers and oceans. They’ve scoured the moon looking for signs of ice deep in its craters and even sent a probe to look for ice on a comet. But new research suggests finding cosmic H2O may not be all that difficult outside our own solar system. Simulations based on exoplanet data suggest water worlds covered with deep oceans may actually be rather common throughout our galaxy, according to a new study published this week in PNAS.

PATRICK "PJ" HUGHES served in the Navy as an Aviation Electronics Technician primarily on the E-2C Hawkeye and C-2A Greyhound airframes. He left the Navy in December of 2010 as a First Class Petty Officer to work on the civilian side of military aviation employed as a Technical Representative for the E-2C and E-2D Hawkeye.

He spent his active duty time on both the east and west coasts deploying in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2010. As an Aviation Electronics Tech he was responsible the Avionics and Weapon Systems onboard the Hawkeye. Those systems included AN/USG-3 Cooperative Engagement Capability, the APS-145 Radar System and various other communications, COMSEC, and navigation equipment.

In November 2004, Patrick was a Second Class Petty Officer attached to VAW-117 (Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron), “The Wallbangers,” and was with the squadron onboard the Nimitz conducting Air Wing and Battlegroup exercises. While he did not directly witness the Tic Tac anomaly, he adds to the events that November when he describes how two USAF officers along with his Commanding Officer confiscated his classified recordings from an E-2C Hawkeye that witnessed the Tic Tac.

PJ is also privileged to share the events described to him by a close friend and another Navy Sailor who was airborne in the Hawkeye and witnessed the Tic Tac form up with the E-2C during flight.

On April 29, 2019, Mr. George Knapp of KLAS-TV in Las Vegas published a story about the DD Form 1910, and released a leaked copy of it attached to the headline, “EXCLUSIVE: I-Team confirms Pentagon did release UFO videos.” Obviously intrigued and excited, I watched the news segment and downloaded the DD Form 1910 as released by KLAS-TV.

Let me preface the breakdown of this with the fact that in March of 2018, I filed a FOIA request for the DD Form 1910s, relating to these videos. I did so based on the fact that Mr. Elizondo stated to Mr. Knapp directly on Coast to Coast AM, that it was this process and those form(s) in which these videos were released by the DOD. That request, is still pending for me on an official level, but to see the DD Form 1910 as posted by Mr. Knapp; it was exciting. I did not have to wait for the FOIA request to go through, so wouldn’t be excited?

CRS-17 Mission

SpaceX is targeting Saturday, May 4 for an instantaneous launch of its seventeenth Commercial Resupply Services mission (CRS-17) at 2:48 a.m. EDT, or 6:48 UTC, from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida. Dragon will separate from Falcon 9’s second stage about 9 minutes after liftoff and attach to the space station on Monday, May 6.

The Dragon spacecraft that will support the CRS-17 mission previously supported the CRS-12 mission in August 2017. Following stage separation, SpaceX will attempt to recover Falcon 9’s first stage on the Of Course I Still Love You droneship, stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.

On May 6, look at your western sky just after sunset. The young moon will be positioned above the red giant star Aldebaran. Aldebaran is the brightest star in Taurus Constellation and generally the fourteenth-brightest star in the night sky.

Observers in Europe, Africa, and Asian will see the moon pass through Taurus' face after dusk.

On May 7, the waxing crescent moon will land 3.5 degrees to the lower left (south) of reddish Mars.

The moon is waxing now. That means that, day by day, it’ll be higher up at sunset, a wider lunar crescent that’ll stay out longer after dark.

So, if you miss the thin lunar crescent after sunset May 6, try again on May 7 or 8, as the crescent pairs up more closely with Mars.

See if you can catch the earthshine lighting up the nighttime side of the moon, with either the unaided eye or binoculars.

The center of the Milky Way, like most galaxies, hosts a black hole millions of times more massive than the Sun. The circumstantial evidence for this exotic object has been growing steadily over the last several decades. New telescopes and techniques are now probing the behavior of gas and stars closer and closer to the black hole, and soon we expect to have the first image of its event horizon to go along with the recent image released by Event Horizon Telescope. This lecture and panel will discuss what we know about the Milky Way’s black hole, how we know it, and what we hope to learn in the next few years.

Ryan brings us the incredible story of Herbert Schirmer. On December 3rd, 1967, Schirmer, a twenty-two-year-old police officer, was driving down a desolate highway in Ashland, Nebraska. He approached a pair of lights that he believed to be a stalled vehicle. When he got closer, he realized it wasn't a vehicle on the road, but a craft hovering in the night sky. After a few moments, the craft shot out of sight and the officer returned to his station, noting the sighting in his logbook.

But for Schirmer, there seemed to be a period of missing time between when he first saw the object and when he left the area. And when he finally recalled what had happened in those missing moments, the story became far bigger and stranger than first imagined, prompting the Air Force and Government to investigate.

Presented in association with the Omaha World-Herald and including actual audio from Schirmer himself, this is the story of the abduction in Ashland.

Two astronomers think they've pinpointed the ancient stellar collision that gave our solar system its cache of precious gold and platinum — some of it, anyway.

In a new study published May 1 in the journal Nature (https://www.nature.com/articles/s41586-019-1113-7#ref-CR5), the duo analyzed the remnants of radioactive isotopes, or versions of molecules with different numbers of neutrons, in a very old meteorite. Then, they compared those values with isotope ratios produced by a computer simulation of neutron star mergers — cataclysmic stellar collisions that can cause ripples in the fabric of space-time.

What happens to planets as their stars begin to die? for many planets outside of our solar system, the answer is a trip to the fiery depths of their host star. The most sucessful ways for astronomers discover exoplanets are biased toward finding both large planets & planets orbiting close to their host stars. Consequently the population of known exoplanets includes a sizable subpopulation of massive planets in tiny orbits. During the course of it's life a star will expand ten to a hundred times, well beyond the orbits of many of these exoplanets. Such planetary engulfment can alter the properties of the host star. Dr Colburg describes various scenarios of planet swallowing events as well as observational clues left behind.

Blue Moon lunar lander: Blue Origin announced Blue Moon, its large lunar lander capable of delivering multiple metric tons of payload to the lunar surface based on configuration and mission. The cargo variant revealed today can carry 3.6 metric tons to the surface. We have also designed a variant of the lander that can stretch to be capable of carrying a 6.5-metric-ton, human-rated ascent stage. Blue also announced it can meet the current Administration's goal of putting Americans on the Moon by 2024 with the Blue Moon lunar lander.

BE-7 engine: The Blue Moon lunar lander will be powered by the BE-7 engine, a new addition to Blue Origin’s family of engines. The BE-7’s 40 kN (10,000 lbf) thrust is designed for large lunar payload transport. The engine’s propellants are a highly-efficient combination of liquid oxygen and liquid hydrogen. The BE-7 will have its first hotfire this summer. The engine will be available for sale to other companies for use in in-space and lander applications.

In the last decade, we have established the existence of extragalactic fast radio bursts (FRBs) of sub-millisecond durations, likely originating at cosmologically significant distances. Explaining the FRB phenomenon has proved a compelling challenge to theory, with the number of distinct models only this year being superseded by the 65 reported events. The high FRB occurrence rate (comparable to the core-collapse supernova rate), isotropic-equivalent luminosities comparable to the most luminous quasars, the wide range of intrinsic and propagation-induced phenomenology, and the repetition of at least a sub-sample of objects are particularly noteworthy. FRBs have also opened a powerful new window into otherwise unseen matter in the Universe. Observations of large FRB samples will help assess the baryon contents and physical conditions in the hot/diffuse circumgalactic, intracluster, and intergalactic medium, and test extant compact-object dark matter models. I will review the state of the field and its promise for the future.

To quote host "Hey guys, today I am exploring a hill called Tirumalai, and this is a very ancient site, the structures you are seeing are about a thousand years old. I will cover these temples in a different video, but the real reason why I am here is because I got an email about a strange diagram which exists in one of these caves. The builders have constructed brick structures around natural caves, this is why we see a combination of natural and artificial structures here. Why are the ceilings so low? because these are natural overhanging rocks and these chambers were used as a secret location for gatherings and events.
And here you can see the strange diagram, the blueprint that I wanted to see. Let's be honest, your immediate impression is that it resembles a technical diagram. Why do you feel this way? Because in ancient art, you would expect human or divine figures, flowers or cute designs, but it does not have any of them. If you look at it from different angles, it is clear that it is not a 2 dimensional structure. It must be a 3 dimensional structure, the diagram in fact shows the top view of an advanced machine. Look at this figure, this a 4 blade rotor or a fan, this is exactly how a rotor would look from the top. There is not one, but four of them positioned in the same line. And look, they are all connected using the same cable line, this is incredible.
But what is more interesting, is the name of this drawing itself: Locals call it Chakra Vimana, which literally means a flying saucer. The word Chakra means a rotating wheel and the word Vimana means a flying machine. Is this the top view of an actual UFO, a flying saucer? Look carefully, there are small circles in the middle, and there are wires which appear to connect them on all four sides, but they do not touch the circle, the wires are merely placed close to the circles. Such details on this diagram cannot be explained by anything else, this is definitely a sophisticated machine we are looking at. See how there are arcs, placed in certain points, today we call them crescent magnets and use them in various motors. Look at the color coding, just like a modern technical drawing, the inner circle is blue, the middle circle is black, and the outer circle has bands of brown and black. Upon careful observation, we can see that colors used in all the details have been done following strict rules. Is it possible that this diagram shows the blueprint of a UFO? Is it why this is called Chakra Vimana?
To understand this, we need to look at the history of this ancient site. There are several temples in this hill, but surprisingly, they do not belong to Hinduism, they belong a religion known as Jainism. Jainism is one of the oldest religions of India and contains many secrets about Vimanas, or flying machines. Let us go into the main chamber of this temple to understand more about this. The central figure here is called Mahavira, he looks eerily peaceful, he is one of the most important Gods in Jainism. But his origin is shrouded in mystery. According to ancient texts, he emerged from a spacecraft called Puspa-Uttara. In fact, every statue you see here came out of Vimanas, according to ancient Jain texts. They are collectively known as Vimana Vasins, meaning they are dwellers of Vimana. These deities have some distinct features, some are shown with wings to indicate flight and some are shown with reptilian features, the hood of snakes. Their purpose was to serve and protect the great God Mahavira. Is it possible that the diagram that is drawn here is a blue print of an ancient Vimana used by these deities? How else can we explain this drawing?
But there is another clue why this entire site may contain advanced scientific information. If we examine these chambers and caverns, we can see that many of the paintings and drawings have been deliberately erased. The paintings on the top of overhanging rocks have been intentionally destroyed. Locals claim that this deliberate act of vandalism was done in 1939, by British soldiers due to racism.

Skywatching: Moon Gets Close to Spica, Virgo's Brightest Star

The star Spica poses near the Moon tomorrow evening . It’s the brightest star of the constellation Virgo, and one of the 20 brightest stars in the entire night sky.

Spica is especially hot — tens of thousands of degrees hotter than the Sun. That high temperature makes the star especially bright, and gives it a blue-white color.

According to earthsky.com, if Spica were the same distance as our sun from us, it would shine some 1,900 times more brightly in the visible spectrum than our sun does. Spica is located 262 light-years away from Earth.

On May 15-16, look for the bright waxing gibbous Moon near Virgo’s brightest star Spica, in the evening sky.

Eric Switzer | EXCLAIM: A New Balloon Mission to Map the Cosmological History of Galaxies

The EXperiment for Cryogenic Large-Aperture Intensity Mapping (EXCLAIM) is a high-altitude balloon-borne spectrometer designed to deepen our understanding of star formation in a cosmological context. It will map the sub-mm emission of redshifted carbon monoxide (CO) and singly-ionized carbon ([Cii]) lines in windows comprising 0 < z < 3.5. These lines trace star formation and its precursors but have only preliminary characterization beyond the nearby universe. Rather than detect individual galaxies, EXCLAIM will measure the statistics of brightness fluctuations of redshifted, cumulative line emission. This form of intensity mapping (IM) is attracting increasing interest and investment as a way to take a census of cosmological line emission and structure. I will review some of the benefits and challenges of IM, ongoing efforts, and describe the new EXCLAIM mission.

Binaries which pass too close to the central black hole get ripped apart, and launch hyper velocity stars away from the galaxy. Stars which get too close get destroyed, either gently by transferring mass slowly, while emitting detectable gravitational waves, or abruptly in a tidal disruption event. I’ll review these processes and discuss the dynamics between stars the lead to them.

Professor David Deamer | Where is the Origin of Life on Earth?

To answer the iconic question “Are We Alone?”, scientists around the world are also attempting to understand the origin of life. There are many pieces to the puzzle of how life began and many ways to put them together into a big picture. Some of the pieces are firmly established by the laws of chemistry and physics. Others are conjectures about what Earth was like four billion years ago, based on extrapolations of what we know from observing Earth today. However, there are still major gaps in our knowledge and these are necessarily filled in by best guesses.

We invited talented scientists to discuss their different opinions about the origin of life and the site of life’s origin. Most of them will agree that liquid water was necessary, but if we had a time machine and went back in time, would we find life first in a hydrothermal submarine setting in sea water or a fresh water site associated with emerging land masses?

Biologist David Deamer, a Research Professor of Biomolecular Engineering at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and multi-disciplinary scientist Bruce Damer, Associate Researcher in the Department of Biomolecular Engineering at UC Santa Cruz, will describe their most recent work, which infers that hydrothermal pools are the most plausible site for the origin of life. Both biologists have been collaborating since 2016 on a full conception of the Terrestrial Origin of Life Hypothesis.

Lynn Rothschild, Senior Scientist at NASA’s Ames Research Center and Adjunct Professor of Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, and Biochemistry at Brown University, who is an astrobiologist/ synthetic biologist specializing in molecular approaches to evolution, particularly in microbes and the application of synthetic biology to NASA's missions, will provide an evolutionary biologist’s perspective on the subject.

A Blue Moon streaking across the night skies this weekend will dazzle stargazers all around the globe. The full moon will reach full phase on May 18th 2019 at 21 11 Universal Time.

After Saturday’s event, the next seasonal Blue Moon will peak on the afternoon of August 22, 2021.

There are two different definitions of a Blue Moon, both of which refer to a rare Full Moon appearing out of the blue.

The first definition, which also happens to be the more popular tagline, describes a second Full Moon to appear within one calendar month.

The second definition of a Blue Moon describes the third of four Full Moons to appear in one calendar season. If a season has four Full Moons, then the third Full Moon may be called a Blue Moon, according to the old Maine Farmer’s Almanac.

According to the Royal Observatory Greenwich, Blue Moons are a fairly rare occurrence – by both definitions – and appear once every two to three years.

The year 2018 was unusual because it had two Blue Moons to appear only two months apart – an incredibly rare combination.

The next time two Blue Moons appear in one year will be the year 2037.

In astronomy we study things that are very far away. It’s a powerful challenge because even the brightest objects are almost impossibly faint when you view them from the other side of the universe. But there’s an up side. If the light from some space object took billions of years to get to us then we see that object as it was billions of years ago. In this way we can peer back in time and literally see the past in motion. In fact we’re able to see some of the first stars and galaxies to ever form. But if we look beyond, both in distance and in time, there is … nothing. Darkness. For the hundred million years or so between the formation of the first atom and the formation of the first star there were no light sources in the universe. These were the cosmic dark ages. It’s a period of cosmic history rarely discussed because it’s hellishly difficult to observe. Fortunately scientists are devilishly clever. So what do we know about the time before stars?

Successfully launched in April 2018, the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) is well on its way to discovering thousands of exoplanets in orbit around the brightest stars in the sky. During its two-year prime survey mission, TESS will monitor more than 200,000 bright stars in the solar neighborhood for temporary drops in brightness caused by planetary transits. This first-ever spaceborne all-sky transit survey will identify planets ranging in size from Earth-sized to gas giants, orbiting a wide variety of host stars, ranging from cool M dwarfs to hot O/B giants.

TESS stars are typically 30–100 times brighter than those surveyed by the Kepler satellite; thus, TESS planets are far easier to characterize with follow-up observations. For the first time it will be possible to study the masses, sizes, densities, orbits, and atmospheres of a large cohort of small planets, including a sample of rocky worlds in the habitable zones of their host stars.

An additional data product from the TESS mission is its full frame images (FFIs) with a cadence of 30 minutes. These FFIs provide precise photometric information for every object within the 2300 square degree instantaneous field of view of the TESS cameras. In total, nearly 100 million objects brighter than magnitude I= +16 will be precisely photometered during the two-year prime mission. As TESS’s limiting magnitude for stacked FFIs extends to fainter than I= +19, we anticipate the discovery of a wealth of galactic and extragalactic transients during the prime mission, as well as numerous asteroids and NEOs.

The initial TESS all-sky survey is well underway, covering 13 observation sectors in the Southern Ecliptic Hemisphere in Year 1, and 13 observation sectors in Year 2. A concurrent deep survey by TESS of regions surrounding the North and South Ecliptic Poles will provide prime exoplanet targets for characterization with the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), as well as other large ground-based and space-based telescopes coming online in the next two decades.

The status of the TESS mission after the first ten observation sectors will be reviewed. The opportunities enabled by TESS’s unique lunar-resonant orbit for an extended mission lasting more than a decade will also be presented.

New footage of a small jet taken with a FLIR camera appears to show a similar shape to the "Gimbal" UFO video. Combine this with what we know about rotating glares, "aura", and parallax, and it seems like a very good explanation for the Gimbal video is just a distant jet.

The rotation is caused by the gimbal system in the camera needing a de-rotation step to keep the horizon constant. That's probably why the Navy labeled this video "Gimbal" to explain what it showed

Kevin Day is a retired U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer who specialized in radar systems. He is a TOPGUN air intercept controller with more than 20 years experience in strike group air defense including war-time operations. In November of 2004, off the coast of San Diego, Kevin was a radar operator on the USS Princeton, part of the USS Nimitz Carrier Strike Group. Over several days unknown objects were observed on radar. On several occasions, aircraft were directed to find the objects. The pilots reported seeing 40 foot-long Tic Tac shaped objects that performed remarkable maneuvers beyond the capability of our aircraft. In episode #32 of The Black Vault Radio -- I remember my friend, Mr. Stanton Friedman.

Many may have heard this before, but when I started researching at the age of 15, I wrote everyone I could find that was a big name in the field of UFOs in order to make contacts and to learn. Out of everyone I ever wrote in those beginning days, only one wrote back... Stanton Friedman.

He sent me, without charge, a pile of reading material from his own writings. He believed in me, when no one else did, within the field of UFOlogy. To me, that first envelope packed with material he sent to me, represented two things. 1) How amazing, and thorough, of a researcher he really was. But 2) it showed me from the starting gate -- he was a gentleman.

We became friends after that. Our friendship would span more than 20 years, and we always enjoyed seeing each other at various conferences and shooting multiple television series together.

Of course, sometimes it is hard to chat one-on-one with a legend like Stanton - many others want a moment of his time as well. But, I was very lucky. Stanton and I would find ourselves in places that allowed us to sit down, one-on-one, and just chat. I remember one instance where he and I sat down for Chinese food together, in a small town outside where he and I both spoke at, and we just chatted, laughed and I was able to soak it all in. He was a legend, in the true sense of the word, but he was also, my friend.

Away from my personal connection with Stanton - I had a pure admiration for what he accomplished. He dug - and dug deep - for answers. He would meticulously turn over every stone he could, to find an answer. He traveled to archives; he picked up the telephone; he read documents; and he just simply dug. We ALL, including myself, can learn from Stanton's methods and his contributions to not only UFOlogy, but to the true definition of the word RESEARCHER. I learned so much from him, I can not even explain.

About two weeks ago, I spoke with Stanton on the telephone for a while. If I knew that was the last time I would hear his voice, I would've said "Thank you."

"Thank you, Stanton, for being a role model for myself, and for others, on what it is like to seek the TRUTH. Thank you, Stanton, for defining what it is to research in a field, that deserves careful attention to detail. Thank you, Stanton, for just being a friend."

Massive Martian Ice Discovery Opens a Window Into Red Planet's History

Newly discovered layers of ice buried a mile beneath Mars' north pole are the remnants of ancient polar ice sheets and could be one of the largest water reservoirs on the planet, according to scientists at The University of Texas at Austin and the University of Arizona.

The team made the discovery using measurements gathered by the Shallow Radar (SHARAD) on NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO). SHARAD emits radar waves that can penetrate up to a mile and a half beneath the surface of Mars.

Scientists working with data from the Kepler mission have discovered an additional 18 Earth-sized worlds. The team used a newer, more stringent method of combing through the data to find these planets. Among the 18 is the smallest exoplanet ever found.

The Kepler mission was very successful and we now know of more than 4,000 exoplanets in distant solar systems. But there’s an understood sampling error in the Kepler data: it was easier for the spacecraft to find large planets rather than small ones. Most of the Kepler exoplanets are enormous worlds, close in size to the gas giants Jupiter and Saturn.

The discovery of close‐orbit exoplanets, which do not exist in our solar system, introduces a new and interesting regime of parameter space to study space plasma physics. In particular, it introduce new regime at which the interaction between the planetary upper atmosphere interacts with the surrounding space environment, which is more extreme due to the close proximity of the planet to the star. Moreover, some of the planets may reside within the stellar Alfven point, allowing direct interaction between the planet and the stellar corona magnetic field. In my talk, I will review the consequences of this new physics problem, and will highlight the potential impact on the stars, planets, habitability, and the potential observables of such star‐planet interaction.

Cmdr. David Fravor is one of the most experienced fighter pilots in American history. In 2004 he engaged a UFO with his fighter jet. This close-encounter has become known around the world as the “TIC TAC” UFO event series. The US Government has confirmed the account - with video evidence.

Unidentified craft of unknown origin and intent are flying in our airspace with impunity. Our most advanced weapons and tracking systems are rendered powerless against them. We don’t know who built them; we don’t know who operates them.

Events like this are increasing globally - and the world is now being told.

The UFO presence is no longer in the realm of mythology. They are here.

TIC TAC UFO EVENT SERIES BACKGROUND:

Cmdr. Fravor is a badass Top Gun fighter pilot, and in 2004, the Commanding Officer of VFA-41 / the Black Aces. On November 14th of that year, The Nimitz Carrier Strike Group was preparing for deployment to the Arabian Sea. About 100 miles S/W off the coast of San Diego, routine pre-deployment workups were underway. It was 70 Degrees with clear skies, and an average wind speed of 3 mph. But this wasn’t a typical day.

Starting on November 10th the USS Princeton had been detecting multiple AAVs -Anomalous Aerospace Vehicles (UFOs) - operating in and around the vicinity of the Strike Group. The vehicles of unknown origin and function were tracked on radar, with returns descending from far above the radar’s scan volume - somewhere higher than 80,000 ft. Seemingly from outer-space, the targets would drop from above 80,000 ft to hover roughly 50 ft above the water in a matter of seconds; an impossibly fast rate of decent. And from what I’ve been told, at ICBM trajectories. This unique flight signature got the attention of radar operators and controllers of other observation platforms.

On November 14th, 2004 Cmdr. Fravor was flying a F/A-18F Super Hornet when he received orders to intercept an unidentified contact. This was not a drill or a simulation - this was real-world tasking.

Cmdr. Fravor was vectored to the location of the anomalous contact. He observed the craft visually, and described it as being “about 44 ft in length, solid white and oblong - similar to the shape of a TIC TAC”. The craft appeared to be “docking” with a larger USO (Unidentified Submerged Object), sitting just below the surface of the water. The USO appeared “cross-shaped”, and seemed to be causing a circular disturbance on the surface of the water. At some point the TIC TAC UFO “noticed” Cmdr. Fravor… so he decided to go after it.

He made an aggressive decent in pursuit of the UFO; with intent to engage. It suddenly began “mirroring” Cmdr. Fravor’s craft - before shooting off at an “impossible” speed.

Within less than 120 seconds the UFO was picked up on radar again - but at another rendezvous point - over sixty-miles away.

The UFO outmaneuvered anything imaginable by modern human technology. It also avoided contact with our advanced warfare defense systems. At one point, when filmed on a military FLIR (Forward Facing Infrared) imagery system - it “actively jammed” our most sophisticated weapons and tracking technology.

This craft - of undetermined origin and intent - displayed flight characteristics far beyond current propulsion technology known to man (or even understood within our current model of physics). It had no wings, rudder, tail-number or rotors. There were no heat signatures, plumes or exhaust. This was not a reactionary propulsion system; it was something else.

It is widely agreed by those with access to the data, that this craft was not of Earthly design; that it was gravitationally propelled, and was under intelligent control by someone. And it wasn’t alone.

The most astonishing thing about its maneuverability was its apparent disregard for the laws of inertia. It moved “like a ping-pong ball in an empty glass”, said Cmdr. Fravor. It appeared to defy gravity, space and time.

This event has become one of the best documented (and most important) UFO close-encounter cases in history.

Cmdr. Fravor said this was his “first and only” public appearance… we are lucky to have his testimony on public record in this way.

This video is the first in the series, Going to the Moon. In this video, we discuss the History of the Moon during Human times. Understanding the observations our ancestors made, and how the Moon influences animals. We start out discussing some of the ancient lunar calendars that were developed. The Ancient Egyptian lunar calendar, Egyptian Astronomy the Gods and Goddesses named after the Moon, like Artemis. Apollo and Artemis were twins, which makes since the Artemis NASA mission was announced to go back to the Moon.

We then look at Babylonian astronomy, and how they were able to determine the length of a Sidereal Month and a Synodic Month. We also discuss the difference between a Synodic Month vs sidereal month. From there, we discuss various philosophers such as Anaxagoras and Ptolemy and their discoveries about the Moon. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Drexel University. Additionally, He graduated Cum Laude (3.67) with Honors, a concentration in Astrophysics, and a minor in Mathematics. he is pursuing his PhD in Physics & Astronomy at the University of Pennsylvania with a focus on the detection and characterization of exoplanets. His career goal is to accept an astronomy-oriented position in either academia or a national research facility.

In this presentation he explores the fundamentals of exoplanets and describes the achievements scientists have made thus far in finding them.

Steve Berg is an actor and improviser who was most recently seen in New Line’s comedy feature "Tag" starring Jon Hamm and Rashida Jones. His credits also include recurring roles on NBC's "The Good Place," ABC's "The Goldbergs," Comedy Central's "Idiotsitter," and BET's "The Comedy Get Down." He has appeared in two features for director Joe Swanberg -- the Netflix Original "Win It All" and the indie "Digging For Fire" which premiered at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival. Berg has been a drunk narrator multiple times on Comedy Central's "Drunk History" and was a series regular in the Fox Television pilot "WTF America" produced by Ron Howard and Brian Grazer. Berg can next be seen in the indie "When Jeff Tried to Save the World." He is originally from Omaha, Nebraska.

Ryan is joined by actor/writer and UFO buff, Steve Berg. Ryan originally learned of Berg's work through a hilarious segment of the Comedy Central tv show, "Drunk History", in which Berg recounted the Roswell UFO incident in concise and inebriated detail. But Berg wasn't a one-trick pony. His UFO knowledge was vast, and it truly shows in this wide-ranging interview.

Ryan and Berg discuss the late Stanton Friedman and his contributions to the UFO research field. They also discuss the prolific work of Jacques Vallée, belief systems, the cult-like tendencies of people in the UFO community, the Bennewitz affair in the 1980s, and Berg's personal thoughts on the recent mainstream coverage of UFOs and the work being done by To the Stars Academy. Berg then introduces us to his current podcast endeavor, Voyage to the Stars, a cosmic dark comedy of improvised storytelling and rich science fiction lore.
