Why Are Giant Sinkholes Appearing All Over America? Is Something Happening To The Earth’s Crust?

Where are all of these giant sinkholes coming from? Of course there have always been sinkholes, but over the past few years it seems like both the severity and the number of giant sinkholes has been increasing dramatically. So exactly why are so many giant sinkholes appearing all over America all of a sudden? Is something happening to the earth’s crust, or is there some other explanation? The “experts” are blaming this epidemic of sinkholes on things like loose soil, acidic groundwater, new construction, leaky water pipes, coal mines, fracking, long periods of drought followed by rain, and depletion of underground aquifers, but do they really understand what is going on? On Thursday, a 37-year-old man named Jeffrey Bush living near Tampa, Florida died when the earth underneath his home suddenly opened up and swallowed him alive. His brother tried to help him when he heard Jeffrey screaming, but it was too late. The entire bedroom was sucked deep into the earth and the home had to be rapidly abandoned. Now authorities are admitting that he will probably never be found. So is this type of thing really “normal”? It would be one thing if this was just an isolated incident, but the truth is that giant sinkholes have been appearing with increasing frequency all over the planet lately. Could this be an indication that major earth changes are on the way?

Florida has always been an area that has been prone to sinkholes, but the numbers do show that sinkhole damage in the state has increased very rapidly in recent years. According to ABC News, insurance claims related to sinkholes more than doubled between 2006 and 2009…

Hillsborough County, where Seffner is situated, is part of an area in Florida prone to sinkholes, with insurance claims associated with them more than doubling between 2006 and 2009, according to a Florida Senate report.

But that is just Florida, right?

Other parts of the country are not having this kind of a problem, right?

Wrong.

Just check out what has been happening in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania lately. There are dozens of sinkholes that have opened up in Harrisburg, and the city is so broke that it doesn’t have the money to fix all of them.

In fact, at this point there are 41 sinkholes that have been documented in Harrisburg, and many of them are right in the middle of the street…

Pennsylvania’s state capital is suffering from a rash of monster sinkholes, but city officials are too broke to do anything about it.

Loose soil and leaky, century-old underground water pipes are to blame for the municipal nightmare, which came to a head on the New Year’s Eve when a 50-foot sinkhole yawned open along Fourth Street, the Wall Street Journal reported.

The eight-foot deep crater — one of at least 41 in the city — is so large, locals made it a “check-in” site on the social media site Four Square.

Some cheeky residents and the media nicknamed the hole “Super Sinkhole Walter.”

Of course there have been lots of cities throughout U.S. history that have experienced such an epidemic of sinkholes, right?

There is no reason to be alarmed, right?

In a previous article about sinkholes, I talked about a sinkhole that recently formed in Ohio that was the size of four football fields and that was more than 30 feet deep. It caused part of State Route 516 to collapse and authorities were projecting that the road would continue to stay closed for months to come.

But that is “normal”, right?

The giant Louisiana sinkhole in Assumption Parish that made headlines all over the nation last year is now more than 800 feet in diameter. It just continues to grow, and authorities have no idea when it will stop growing.

But this kind of thing happens all the time, right?

Just recently, large sinkholes forced roads to close in New Jersey and in Arizona. Of course those incidents will soon be forgotten because there are more news stories about major sinkholes in the United States almost every single day now. Giant sinkholes have been happening with such regularity that people hardly take notice anymore.

You can see some photos of some of the craziest sinkholes in recent years right here. It would be one thing if giant sinkholes were just appearing in the United States, but unfortunately that is not the case.

For instance, a sinkhole that appeared in the middle of Guatemala City in 2010 was about 30 stories deep.

Down in Sarisarinama, Venezuela some sinkholes have appeared in recent years that are more than 1,000 feet wide.

China has been one of the worst areas of the world for sinkholes over the past several years. In fact, just check out what has been happening in one village in China recently…

Residents in the village of Lianyuan in southern China’s Hunan Province have been treading rather gingerly these last few months. Over 20 sinkholes have opened up in the ground since last September. The cave-ins, which range in size, have seen houses collapse and rivers run dry. And there is never any warning as to where and when the sinkholes occur. According to local authorities, the main reason for the cave-ins is the number of coalmines in the area. It is not clear what steps are being taken to prevent further sinkholes from appearing.

I could go on and on with more examples from all over the globe, but hopefully you are starting to get the point.

Giant holes are opening up all over the earth and swallowing homes, buildings, roads and sometimes even people.

So why is this happening?

Is the crust of the earth becoming more unstable?

Or is something else at work?

March of 2013 witnesses a very rare alignment of celestial heavy-hitters, namely an Isosceles Trapezoid. This highly symmetrical pattern keys off the ongoing Uranus/Pluto square, the defining aspect of our times, although the next point at which these two will be exactly squared is not until May. Filling out the pattern are sextile aspects from each end of the square, joined by inconjunct, with two additional inconjuncts forming an internal “X” from the four corners of the trapezoid.

Essentially, this pattern is composed of two interlocked Yods, bound together by a stressful square. Yods, also known as the Finger of Destiny, are formed when two planets in sextile along the base of the Yod are each inconjunct to a third planet at its apex. Yods represent fated or predestined events, situations which cannot be avoided, for good or ill, and reap karmic benefit or punishment.

The planets in question are Uranus in Aries, Jupiter in Gemini, Saturn in Scorpio and Pluto in Capricorn. Often when a trapezoid forms in the sky, a key component is one of the more swiftly-moving inner planets, indicating a fleeting or transient nature, but here, moderate to major slow movers are involved, giving the pattern much more stability and durability than would normally be the case. The first of the six exact aspects that bind and create this pattern occurs February 13, and the last on May 20, but March and early April are dominated by the trapezoid, with four exact alignments within a five-week period, and all planets are within orb of their relative aspects throughout the period.

Several other planets and minor bodies of the solar system will conjoin the principals in this complex pattern, but to begin at the beginning, let’s discuss the various primary energies interwoven into the trapezoid’s structure.

The Uranus/Pluto square forms the backbone of the pattern, and is the longest-lived portion of it, being in effect for almost three years, from June 2012 through March 2015 (for a detailed look at 2013’s exact squares, see my article “Galactic 2013, Part One” in the December 2012 issue of Daykeeper Journal). Essentially, this is a conflict of action (first-quarter square) between the forces of change, challenge and innovation (Uranus), coming from a rebellious, iconoclastic stance bent on individuation (Aries), and those of entrenched power structures (Pluto) coming from a hierarchical, traditionalist stance bent on conformity (Capricorn).

This is never good. That is, it can lead to something very good indeed, but the process is often ugly. Tension, strife, open conflict and turmoil: these are the likely results of this combination. This mix represents the individual versus society, free-form versus structure.

Uranus in Aries is boldly assertive and aggressively pursues its ends, which may not always be well thought through, but arise from the “fierce urgency of now!”, as some have phrased it. It is impatient, headstrong, and brooks no refusal, sweeping obstacles off the board without due consideration of the potential consequences. Pluto in Capricorn is reactionary, starkly conservative, outwardly intent upon shoring up its position and allowing not so much as incremental change, while internally a seething maelstrom of conflicted, repressed emotions fomenting a thorough restructuring which may not be apparent until the old form breaks down in a sudden collapse. Uranus is freedom, as opposed to Pluto’s accent on manipulation and control.

Mexico In The News

The small little fishing village I am in made headline news today. A couple days ago a 2 year old Colorado boy was beaten and drowned by a meth head boyfriend of the baby sitter. These things are a hard pill to swallow the whole town is upset. I doubt if the boyfriend will ever make it to trial due to the nature of his crime most likely he will receive justice in another way. We never know why these things happen until we see the big picture, past lives, karma etc. Too early to look into this matter and I don't want to comment on it. This no way reflects the nature of the town or its people, which has some very enlightened people, top healers and teachers. I have seen this behavior before the drugs open the door to unthinkable behavior.

Sometimes people have openings due to other reasons where Archons or negative spirits jump in. They are not even aware of what they did or why they did it until the entities are healed and they are left in the mess they created.

In the days to come we are going to see a lot of this behavior especially with those which have traits which open the doors to this energy. Now is the time for impeccable integrity. We can no longer fool ourselves or ignore any links, connections, actions, or an unhealed past which opens the door to these influences. As the energies increase the prophecies warn us there is no turning back. These darker forces will rise to be seen, create as much chaos and negativity as possible, they feed off of it. Their world is coming to an end and they are getting frantic

There are two paths as the polarities increase. One is the material minded, seeking acceptance and approval outside of self, power over others. The other is service to others, simplicity, inner awareness and unity consciousness. We have to choose a spiritual life in harmony with each other and nature if we are going to continue our evolution on Earth. The old world is in chaos, it is falling away and the greatest insecurity will be attaching to it in its demise. There will be one more rise with the economy, a final fleecing then it is best to be in a position where there is no further dependency on the continuation of the status quo. Do not be misled by the mainstream press things are not as rosey as they would like you to be lie ve.

On a ligher note we are networking with some amazing doctors, meeting awesome committed people of high integrity, the ECETI family is growing.

"I once saw a UFO. It was a fairly standard experience. The craft was cigar shaped, silver, and it slid silently across a clear blue sky. No abduction, no lost time, no probes...

The sighting occurred at Devil’s Tower--you know, that natural wonder in Wyoming that Richard Dreyfuss carved out of mashed potatoes in Close Encounters of the Third Kind. I was holding a video camera but when I hit record and swung it toward the sky the mysterious craft had vanished. The year was 1993; I was 11 years old.

It’s been about twenty years since that day, and at this point in my life I consider myself skeptical but willing to keep an open mind when it comes to the subject of extraterrestrials. This particular outlook makes me an ideal visitor to the UFO Watchtower, according to its owner, Judy Mesoline.

Built to resemble a UFO, Mesoline's watchtower is a strange little museum, shop, and lookout post that she opened in 2001 after a failed stint as a rancher. It's located in Hooper, Colorado, a small town even by Colorado standards. As of 2011 it had a population of 105.

Mesoline's bizarre totem to alien sightings isn't just capitalizing on an otherworldly trend that stretches across the American west. It turns out that Hooper sits right in the middle of what one fellow visitor referred to as "The Bermuda Triangle of The West".

The San Luis Valley, a geothermal swath of land at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, and home to Hooper and the UFO Watchtower, also happens to be the site of an unusual number of UFO sightings, a home to many true believers, and ground zero for the unexplained animal mutilation epidemic. It was here in 1967 that the first known mutilation took place, on a now-legendary horse named Snippy.

Since she opened her lookout in 2001, Mesoline has had over two dozen sightings of her own.

"So many bizarre things have happened here in the last 12 years and I tell folks you better have an open mind," she said. "Maybe you don't quite get all of this, okay? But you'd better have an open mind because something's going on up there in that cosmos that we just don't know about."

Here's a funny lady's story i heard today ...

"The local news station was interviewing an 80-year-old lady because she had just gotten married - for the fourth time.

The interviewer asked her questions about her life, about what it felt like to be marrying again at 80, and then about her new husband's occupation.

"He's a funeral director," she answered.

"Interesting," the newsman thought. He then asked her if she wouldn't mind telling him a little about her first three husbands and what they did for a living.

"After weeks of inactivity an object is observed moving from south to north with altitude under 1000 feet.The object is post edited with zoom for the night vision portion and reveals there is separation/space between fore and aft lights and no visible structure associated.

Three types of equipment were attempted to document. The Night Vision Gen 3P, the Hi8 and Celestron spotting scope with nex 5 camera. Unfortunately the object couldnt be located through the spotting scope before it moves behind the trees. Therefore only the night-vision and Hi8 portions were utilized for the clip."

Russian satellite BLITS has been hit by the debris of Chinese Fengyun 1C satellite, which is likely to have damaged the Russian spacecraft, SPACE.com reports citing an analysis by the Center for Space Standards & Innovation (CSSI) in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The analysis by Russian scientists found that the orbital change on the BLITS satellite occurred yet on January 22, 2012. It is not immediately clear if the satellite is merely wounded or completely incapacitated. The Russian space object is 7.5kg, while the weight of the piece that struck it may only be around 0.08 grams.

A Yemeni photographer captured what he believes was an unidentified flying object (UFO) over the mountains in northern Yemen and a picture he published showed a strange white triangular object streaming through the clouds.

Aseel Badiyan said he was using his camera to take shots of the mountains, nearly 90 km from the capital Sanaa, when the object shot across his lens.

Commenting on the photograph, a well-known Saudi astronomer said he had checked the picture and found that it was authentic.

“I have surfed the internet for similar sightings worldwide and found that the picture I captured is the clearest so far…I believe that those who are behind such objects are advanced people who possess a very intelligent civilization,” Badiyan told Saudi and Yemeni newspapers.

Quoted by the Saudi Arabic language daily Ajel, deputy chairman of the Saudi astronomy association, Sharaf Al Sifyati, said:”There is no doubt that we are not alone in this spacious universe and that there are other creatures which only God knows.”

He added:”When this Yemeni photographer contacted me and showed me that picture, I felt that he was telling the truth..I checked the picture and found that is authentic and does not involve any tricks or tampering….as for that object, I believe it is strange and unfamiliar but I am not sure it is a space object because these phenomena remain a possibility rather than a reality…I think this incident has to be fully investigated.”

I thought that I should post this video here, since the topic doesn't get the attention which it deserves. Hopefully you don't find the information too frightening, but he has proved his theory to be right. All these worldwide earth changes are connected and I believe that human conciousness is connected to the magnetic field. Maybe the shift in consciousness is about to happen soon.

We're now in the heart of the mid March magnetic field watch period.

It's early in the morning March 11th now..

Over the next couple days watch the magnetic field.

A severe event will be coming, mostly likely a severe closure of the field.

Which means the magnetic field of the North and/or South Pole go haywire and the "field lines" flip or in simple terms go from being opened to closed in a circle around the Earth.

A reversal is now possible as well.

William Henry discusses historical, geopolitical, and supernatural aspects of the lost Ark of the Covenant, and its possible connection to end times prophecies.   In July, 2012 Khamenei told the Iranian people to prepare for Judgment Day and the imminent return of the Mahdi. Various prophecies speak of the appearance of a great sign before the Second Coming, and Henry believes the re-emergence of the Ark of the Covenant is that sign. "The Phoenix Lights (sometimes called the "Lights over Phoenix") were a series of widely sighted unidentified flying objects observed in the skies over Arizona and Nevada in the United States, and Sonora, Mexico on March 13, 1997.

Lights of varying descriptions were seen by thousands of people between 19:30 and 22:30 MST, in a space of about 300 miles (480 km), from the Nevada line, through Phoenix, to the edge of Tucson.

There were allegedly two distinct events involved in the incident: a triangular formation of lights seen to pass over the state, and a series of stationary lights seen in the Phoenix area. The United States Air Force identified the second group of lights as flares dropped by A-10 Warthog aircraft that were on training exercises at the Barry Goldwater Range in southwest Arizona.

Witnesses claim to have observed a huge carpenter's square-shaped UFO, containing five spherical lights or possibly light-emitting engines. Fife Symington, the governor at the time, was one witness to this incident; he later called the object "otherworldly."

The lights were reported to have reappeared in 2007 and 2008, but these events were attributed to (respectively) military flares dropped by fighter aircraft at Luke Air Force Base and flares attached to helium balloons released by a civilian."

Hi everyone.

Have a very short follow-up regarding Clif High's (and others) "wrinkle in time event".

Clif was in contact with one of the electricians investigating the power outage at the superbowl. According to this guy there was *no* hardware malfunction. Zero. Zip. Nada. He suggests a tremendous "frequency shift" of such a dramatic scope it overwhelmed the electronics.

That event was during the timeframe where Clif and others reported (on the previously posted wujo) abnormalities suggesting a time event of some sort had taken place.

I found myself saying why bother with eating healthy foods? But I go back to the question that I’ve asked myself since the 1990’s: “If I only had one month, one week, one day, what would I do?” My answer is, “The same.”

Which births insights for solutions, grounding others, manifestation of foods, supplies, etc. Those around them will trigger their awakening and go forth to do the same spreading calm, healing and manifestations as needed. It’s an opportunity for a new outlook of lifestyle that’s more in line with Our Mother and all of her inhabitants, not just the human species.

As we build on our new skill sets, the Whole manifests instantly/quickly. Time’s gone. Rather than looking for this event to even out in 10 to 20 years, the evolved will simply gather-in the folds of the dimensional wrinkle(s). Time’s gone, so it’s no longer a program to works against us. Lastly, those once ‘burned at the stake’ are back to complete what they began. We are all Them.

Fairway sinkhole swallows golfer at Waterloo course

WATERLOO • It sure wasn’t the hole-in-one Mark Mihal had in mind.

While golfing with friends at the Annbriar Golf Course near here Friday, Mihal, 43, a mortgage broker from Creve Coeur, abruptly dropped into the ground on the fairway of the 14th hole. It was the first time a person — and not a ball — has disappeared beneath the turf in the course’s 20-year history.

It also was the first time in the memory of folks who study sinkholes in Illinois that a person has fallen into one.

“I was standing in the middle of the fairway,” Mihal said Monday. “Then, all of a sudden, before I knew it, I was underground.”

Mihal said he fell into the mud floor of an enclosure shaped like a bell, up to 18 feet deep and 10 feet wide. The rescue was precarious, he said, because no one knew whether the surface hole would grow or the enclosure would collapse.

"Guberment Prepares For UFO Zombie Attack"

David Lory VanDerBeek, who is running for Governor in Nevada in 2014, recently posted a screenshot (below) from the FEMA website of a supposed Zombie UFO Crash Disaster full-scale exercise drill planned for April 27th, 2013, from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

According to his website NevadaGovernor2014.com, the exercise was planned in Moscow, Idaho involving 100 participants. However, after VanDerBeek posted his article about the bizarre exercise, he claims that FEMA pulled the page down and replaced it with a statement that the information is now "only available to coalition members."

He then contacted Sandy Rollins, who was listed as the contact person for the drill event, with the following message:

Because this drill is supported by federal funds paid by the taxes of the US people including the citizens of Nevada, you are required to provide the public with precise information about your activities in this drill. I expect you to respond within the week with an email with the detailed information regarding the two scenarios mentioned. I also expect the email and phone number of your immediate supervisor. Whether or not you cooperate, I will be reporting your response or lack thereof to the nation on my television show and youtube channel.

Why is this important? Because it raises serious questions about what our government believes about the fundamentals of our human reality. Do the leaders of our nation believe in UFOs and zombies really? If so, what is their proof? They must have proof in order to spend money on drills? If they have proof, they must provide it to the general public? What is the threat? How imminent is it?

VanDerBeek then wrote on his website: "Personally, I do not believe in UFOs or zombies and neither does anyone in the federal government. It is quite likely that our government has a created a bio-chemical weapon that can induce zombie-like behaviors in humans and therefore assist in a mass murder event to promote global depopulation without taking the blame."

IMO he's a shapeshifter and the camera caught him red-handed. I'm finishing downloading the full speech, where he's filmed several times in front. He does look human, and we can see human ears and a face. But from the angle of the shot made by Jewish News One, it looks like he shapeshifted and his human face was just gone. There's no (edited) way that physical transformation could have been an image glitch.

A Geocentric view of the solar system

This page provides a different way of looking at the solar system. It is geocentric and shows where the Sun and all the planets (and the moon) are in the sky. It doesn't show the distances to the planets and so this version of the orrery does not have any of the usual orbit controls or centre object selector. However all other controls work as stated in the guide (http://www.theplanetstoday.com/help.html).

Whats so useful about a geocentric view?

Well the first thing you'll notice is that it's easy to see when there are conjunctions e.g. planets appear close together in the sky.

The second thing is that the planets are always shown in the correct zodiac signs. With the standard orrery, if the orbits were not set to be realistic, then the planets would not be shown in the correct sign.

In summary, this view is much more useful if you just want to know where the planets are (or were or will be) in the sky rather than where they and the earth are in the solar system.

This hole in the clouds was seen during the afternoon not once but twice. The above photo was taken in Talahassee, Florida, the lower photos were taken in Sneads, Florida. Scientists still struggle to explain what these holes are and they cannot seem to come to an agreement with one another. UFOlogists believe that these holes are made by giant UFOs that make their own cloud cover and then when they leave…cloaked of course so you cannot see them, the UFO leaves a massive hole in the clouds. This has been a proven fact ever since the O'Hare Airport UFO incident. MUFON notes in their 90+ pages of investigation into the O'Hare sighting (Nov 7, 2006) states that dozens of eyewitnesses including a mechanic and pilot saw the grey metallic disk rise upwards at incredible speeds, making a hole thought the clouds above it as it went through. Yeah I know…I have no photo of the UFO surrounded by the helicopters. That's because no one who saw it was smart enough to take a single photo! With all the cell phone cameras, security cams and digital cameras and camcorders, apparently not one person who saw this UFO took a single shot of it. That just pisses me off. With the garbage photos posted to Twitter and Facebook, not one person in Florida would take a photo of a significant scientific discovery…a UFO surrounded by three helicopters.

2 After two margaritas someone always steals or moves your golf cart.

3 Everyone who is on foot loves you when you have a golf cart.

4 You can fit six women on a golf cart eight after a couple of margaritas.

5 Other golf carts, which are overloaded with drunk people always are attracted to your golf cart and want to race or collide with you.

6 Always get a golf cart with a stereo preferably Bob Marley CDs

7. Golf carts can get air on speed bumps after 2 margaritas when least expected, don't turn the wheels while in the air.

8 Mexicans and dump trucks have the right of way when it comes to golf carts, after all it is their country.

9 If you see a tired old lady walking up a hill, pull over give her a ride. After two margaritas she might not be an old lady, she might not even exist.

10 Plug your cart in every morning forget about doing it at night after two margaritas one forgets and it gets way to complicated to figure out the ends of the extension cord.

11 And last, your dog is not a designated driver.

THE GAME IS ALREADY ON
A little over a week ago, the Times of Israel, the Jerusalem Post and the Israel National News all described the meets between Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak and the new American Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel as “warm” and “productive.”
The American media, prior to the meetings, had planted false stories about the close friendship between Barak and Hagel. The truth is, Hagel and Barak are and have been anyone but friends.
A top US defense official who worked closely with Barak said this of him:
“Gordy, he is one of the dumbest SOB’s I have ever met. Barak so ‘anti-charismatic’ that his own dog wouldn’t follow him even if he hung a pork chop around his neck.”
Not only were stories about the warm and lasting friendship between Hagel and Barak a wild fabrication, the results of their meetings were as well.
Both the American and Israeli papers, all owned by the same clique, mischaracterized a “defense” related “chat” as though it were a policy discussion involving foreign ministers or heads of state.
Israel saw the meeting thusly:
“America agreed to invade Iran even if it means every last drop of blood for every ‘goyim’ American.”
Secretary Hagel saw the same meeting thusly:
“Why is this idiot in my office?”
NETANYAHU’S LOST ELECTION
A week ago, the Israeli press reported an article from the obscure “World Tribune” describing upcoming American cutbacks and demands by President Obama that Israel abandon the occupied territories in accordance with United Nations resolutions.
Now, when we look at this interval, we see Netanyahu staging a threat in order to garner support from extremist parties who, out of desperation, will help extend his rule through a marriage, not just between different species but different phylum as well.
Thus we finally glimpse the monstrosity that weeks of “negotiation” have assembled, a truly “Frankensteinian regime.”
Today, Netanyahu finally put together his coalition government, weeks late, more than unstable and largely dominated by “settler” elements as we see from RoiTov, in Veterans Today:
“Netanyahu will be the next Prime Minister, but he lost the elections and the coalitional negotiations. The settlers became the principal winners. Even if his party shows restraint and doesn’t carry out a putsch against him, this is probably the last government to be led by Bibi; he should never have chosen a nickname that means (also) ‘my-sewage.’ It became a self-fulfilling Pygmalion prophecy.”
The result for Netanyahu isn’t just a weakened government, the destruction of the Likud Party and probable uprisings in the Knesset.
Israel is reeling from a series of reversals, mass defections at the United Nations, abandonment by American Jews including top Jewish political leaders. More than that, the American people are willing to point their finger at Israel whose high standard of living is underwritten by the crippling taxes paid by low income Americans who are beginning to feel like “Palestinians.”
HERE IT COMES, THE “LIE BOMB”
This leaves Netanyahu and his personal axis of evil, Erdogan in Turkey, Aliyev in Azerbaijan, his friends in the Persian Gulf States, his Saudi brothers and the puppet regime in Jordan.
Losing America as an “occupied zone” like the West Bank is the loss Netanyahu will never recover from.
However, whatever happens during Obama’s upcoming visit next week, what we hear from the press will be the same moronic drooling Hollywood has been pouring out in a raging torrent.
Whenever reality rears its head, the “Iran and the bomb” mantra begins, first as a chant, then a crescendo.
The real meetings, the conclaves, are never publicized. Israel, at least as we knew it, is dead. The plots will continue, the cluster bombs will fall on Gaza; cyber warfare against the world will remain unabated.
The spying, the assassinations, the organ thefts, nothing will appear changed.
DEAD, GONE, TOO LATE
Israel put all its resources behind a losing presidential candidate. It then tried to grind the American government to a halt by brazenly demonstrating total control of the Republican Party, not realizing that they had hitched themselves to, not only a dead horse but one the maggots keep clear of.

Make sure you have enough cash out of the bank. And invest the rest in gold and silver. Right now, the prices of bullion are low. We will have to learn how to work together - bartering and exchanging services rather than engaging in the tax regimes which are going to get stronger and tighter as the months go by. In the long run, this can be a good thing as we can work in communities and support one another. But let's not let the banks rip us off and let's try to prepare for the coming changes.

Most of the areas experiencing the RADAR pulses are CLEAR (with no cloud cover) .. a few are occurring inside the actual storms.. causing areas to "disappear" even though there IS precipitation at the location (disappearing in a sawtooth / square pattern)   

Late PM on March 16, and the late PM of March 17 -- so far several of the areas have received strong cell storms -- SW missouri / Central Arkansas -- having damaging winds last night (early am of the 17th).  

Tennessee having severe weather today / tonight (17th going into the 18th).  

Tomorrow, March 18th, the professionals have now forecast SEVERE weather to develop inside each pulse area .

Cyprus' savers bear brunt of unprecedented bailout

BRUSSELS/NICOSIA (Reuters) - The euro zone agreed on Saturday to hand Cyprus a bailout worth 10 billion euros ($13 billion), but demanded depositors in its banks forfeit some money to stave off bankruptcy despite the risk of a wider run on savings.

The eastern Mediterranean island becomes the fifth country after Greece, Ireland, Portugal and Spain to turn to the euro zone for financial help during the region's debt crisis.

In a radical departure from previous aid packages - and one that gave rise to incredulity and anger across the country - euro zone finance ministers forced Cyprus' savers to pay up to 10 percent of their deposits to raise almost 6 billion euros.

Parliament was due to meet on Sunday to vote on the measure, and approval was far from assured.

The decision prompted a run on cashpoints, most of which were depleted by mid afternoon, and co-operative credit societies closed to prevent angry savers withdrawing deposits.

Almost half Cyprus's bank depositors are believed to be non-resident Russians, but most queuing on Saturday at automatic teller machines appeared to be Cypriots.

President Nicos Anastasiades, elected three weeks ago with a pledge to negotiate a swift bailout, said refusal to agree to terms would have led to the collapse of the two largest banks.

"On Tuesday ... We would either choose the catastrophic scenario of disorderly bankruptcy or the scenario of a painful but controlled management of the crisis," Anastasiades said in written statement.

In several statements since his election, he had previously categorically ruled out a deposit haircut.

"My initial reaction is one of shock," said Nicholas Papadopoulos, head of parliament's financial affairs committee. "This decision is much worse than what we expected and contrary to what the government was assuring us, right up until last night," he told Reuters, without saying whether he would back the measure or whether he thought it would pass.

Papadopoulos is vice-chairman of the Democratic Party, a partner in Cyprus's centre-right ruling coalition and whose support in parliament will be crucial to pass any haircut.

Parliament was expected to convene from 1600 local (1400 GMT) on Sunday to discuss the emergency legislation. Without parliamentary approval, a haircut cannot take place.

New wujo from Clif. No updates on the "time event" nor anything else that he normally speaks about but I found it remarkably interesting so going to post here anyway.

This one has to do with Native American "creation myths" from the Northwest. Perhaps Gio and others from the region have long been aware of these stories and understandings but was completely new to me. Talks about life *before* the annunaki showed up and then very descriptive and fascinating information on how the natives of that region (going into Alaska) were able to stand up to and eventually even drive off the "sky people" due to a variety of reasons.

Makes a reference to this book ... but really covers stories from other island cultures as well.

Masters believes that an "object of interest" captured in webcam photos of the Turrialba Volcano in Costa Rica is possibly a harbinger to the arrival of Planet X. He nicknamed the object "Bluebonnet" because of its bluish color and said that it appears before sunset near the ecliptic of the sun. Bluebonnet, he reported, may be planet-sized but can only be observed from high altitudes above the cloud cover during certain times of the day, such as sunset. They are welcomed but prefer them in a small, steady stream. Like a spark plug, it ignites whatever mechanisms/DNA/wave information in the body, which in turn fires up the connection to Divine within and without.

During these times, I prefer not to be around others. I don’t want to cross contaminate garbage with someone else’s. I also believe people of Light need to be more vigilant because manifestation from start to finish has quickened. Unless there’s a greater purpose, I’d choose not to be the trigger in someone else’s movie. Though I do understand that we all move as All-Oness in this delicate gossamer web. Experience is just experiential without tacking on the good/bad label.

them in a HUGE microwave oven to make fuel
and sell it to the electric company via transporting
it in 18 wheelers 70 miles to Kona. And above all
that they want to raise our electric rates (go figure)
and run their trucks over our cane roads and windy
narrow roads to get to Kona. This has been going
on for a couple of years and they keep slipping in
legislation here and there. We are fighting this
in every way possible but now it is time for a show
of people (numbers). The Governor (Neil Abercrombie)
is in favor of this Bio-fuel as it will bring in Federal Dollars.
Of course this land could be used for raising food
and is presently being used for cattle. We are
just begining in this area to have a thriving coffee
industry (winning many awards) but of course
GMO's and HUGE microwaves (they say they
will change them every year so as to minimize
radiation leaks) don't cause food and cattle
let alone humans thrive.

I'd love to believe in what people like Sandra Walter and others are saying about being "flooded" with higher dimensional energies and planetary transformation and all that. And it's not like I'm a stranger to spiritual matters or metaphysics. But I feel *nothing*. Like absolutely nothing. At least, nothing that I didn't feel last year or the year before or ten or twenty years ago.

Maybe it just hasn't hit me yet, or maybe I'm not in a "vortex" area. But I'm starting to think there is some kind of mass delusion going on. Like people have brainwashed themselves into believing something is happening by repeating it over and over again that "something is happening" and reading channeled messages and the like saying "something is happening" and then they're like, "Can't you feel it? It's happening?" "Oh my god, it must be happening"....and so on. Sort of like a self perpetuating culmination of wishful thinking, maybe? Wouldn't be the first time.

Anyway, I'd love to be proven wrong, but I'm not jumping on the bandwagon quite yet. Maybe I'm hard headed, but I need something more than a bunch of true believers claims.

I figured out sometime ago not to convince anyone of anything. We are where we are until one hears inner say, “Knock, knock.” “Who’s there?

You stated, “I'd love to be proven wrong...” I’m not here to do that. But if your query is genuine, then I’d offer when I read this part of your post (see enclosed quote), this popped in my head - substitute ‘mass’ for ‘self’.

Also, ask yourself if it’s possible that the repetition of “I feel *nothing*. Like absolutely nothing. At least, nothing that I didn't feel last year or the year before or ten or twenty years ago.” is just that? Repetition of a program reinforces the perception. What isn’t so unique is we have programs like that. We discover it only serves to anchor one to limited 5 sense reality.

You are 36, so another possibility is that you may already be ‘in it’. Research ‘indigo adults’. You came in with skills. For example, if you are a person that comes up with solutions quickly while others around you are still scratching their heads in wonder why they didn’t see it. Or what’s simple to you is a complex reality to others. Or you may figure how do things without the manual such as software or technical construction.

My point...you may not feel the emotion, but your gut drives you to brain storm and problem solve with success. That’s your area. My suggestion is leave the specifics of the how’s and when’s for another time. Allow yourself to be open without the brainwashing of the trickster programs. Choose not to buy into them. How? Awareness. Before the words hit the airwaves, just watch them dissolve to where they came. No voice of judgement. Gratitude and high fives are welcomed.

“Maybe I'm hard headed.” It’s an example of a limited program. Words/phrases have life. They create an energetics. I’d chuck the label. Also, you don’t need a bunch of ‘true believers claims’ because they aren’t your experiences. By waiting for others’ stories to fill you, you are always at the starting line. It’s a program. It’s subtle. False belief that you do not have enough power to discover You. So you’ve got to wait for some one to sprinkle fairy dust to awaken. No. It’s your Life. You design it. That’s empowerment. That’s what this new era is all about.

Food for thought: People that are fearful of their own power, hide in confusion. It’s a rope that’s got lots of knots. Many are loosing those knots. Some are undoing the knots. And some just chuck the rope. In part, that’s what this new era is all about.

If that stuff was happening now, I'd be singing a different tune. Anyway, from what I can tell, I'm still in 3d reality on an Earth that looks still rather disturbing and possibly on the brink of every kind of catastrophe imaginable. I have a lot of sympathy with your point of view Manugarjan, as like you, I have been hearing this over and over as long as I can remember.

Realistically what I hope for may not happen in my life time however there is a lot of ongoing change--- crime statistics are falling world wide---that is far from normal in a recession.
More and more people are getting interested in a deeper understanding of spirituality.
There much room for positive realistic hope that a more compassionate caring civilisation is evolving.

I do see positive developments here and there, crime rates among them (though I have to wonder, could this be attributable to the fact that people are so entranced by facebook and mobile devices that they are too distracted to rob each other?).....but modest positive changes are not really what people are predicting. What's being predicted is a dimensional shift. A change in the nature of consciousness and life on this planet on a fundamental level. Not something that would escape notice, I would think.

I tend to place a little faith in enlightened teachers.
Dr David Hawkins said that we are about to have a massive change in perception---to see the world totally differently.
Eckhart Tolle in his first book talked of a change in consciousness but that we would have to see manytings based on a lack of integrity colapse--Banking Government etc.
His last book A New Earth says similar but he does speak of new energies coming in to the solar system raising the consciousness of human beings.

Well when the bible says "everything will b changed in the blinking of an eye"....these words contradict all this talk of stages ,years and steps to change....of waiting while things are going on..."happening". Just a staement I recall NOT saying I believe this to b true but I find it interesting as it goes against everything thts being talked about right now (and for years) regarding ascension and change

First let me say (in my learned opinion), perhaps in this day and age... the 'Bible' should not be taken literary... But perhaps as a so called 'creative narrative' ... Note "An important development in Christian theology during the second half of the twentieth century was what we might call the ‘narrative turn’. By ‘narrative turn’ i mean the idea that Christian theology’s use of the Bible should probably focus on a narrative representation of the faith, rather than on the development of a metaphysical system that draws infallible logical inferences from the data of revelation.

Stating that ... i've come to realize and believe the stages you speak of, are really the 'Self' life collective incarnations experiences... And by one living and (hopefully) learning from those experiences - individually and with other (contracted) conscious like beings... That path to 'ascension' (the process of rising to a vibrationally higher level), will then be gradually realized during one of these incarnations ... And once this is finally acknowledge by the 'Self' ... change then comes instantaneously ... say as in the blink of an eye' ... :blink:

PS ~ i see this as the 'self's' greatest challenge upon this plane ... FEAR

Oh ur singing to the choir...about the book! I in no way take the bible literal at all. Just sitting back "observing" contradictions in the air...

Quickly ill use an analogy about my perspective of written historical words/stories...

As a substitute teacher, i have the opportunity to watch over different grades of students. Many times ive had elementary and middle school children play the game telephone tag...(for those who dont know the game its when kids get into a circle and one makes up a sentence to whisper in the person next to them who then in turn goes to the next until the sentence makes it around the circle.) Do you know every time the sentence ends up distorted. I would make the sentence up like "the purple giraffe loves to play in the forest" in the end it would turn out to b "the blue monkey play in the trees"

Unbelievably In 10 minutes a train of thought, a sentence, becomes distorted from its original message. SO...wht do we think happens over millennia? Good gravy i dont want to know.....:rolleyes:

Not really certain about any stages tht i can say in any absolute terms?...other people are telling me wht my stages are supposed to b, and i read it in books but ive really come to a point tht i dont perceive anything as being real unless it comes from my on heart from within...thine own self

And yes fear is a big part of this place...i think fear is really spawned out of a heaping does of ignorance and absolutely no real education of who and what we are, nor why we are here...

have been willing participants in this process mislead by promises of fame,
fortune, and a false security. You have been programmed to seek security through
material acquisition, outer appearances and to climb the ladder of success
tempted with rotten carrots.

There is no security in acting outside of universal law one of which is
action/reaction, what some call karma, which will come into balance. Any pain,
suffering, enslavement or actions which create a loss of peace, harmony,
individual and collective freedom and prosperity for all will come back to those
who perpetuate these acts and all their participants. Humanity individually and
collectively must now make a choice. Service to the Creator, the omnipresent God
within everyone and everything or service to self. This does not mean living in
abject poverty it means making ones own personal God connection and not
participating in anything that does not align with Universal Law. Many have been
mislead, have made choices in ignorance, have been manipulated by unseen forces
unknowingly some call the matrix. If you look at almost all governing bodies and
major institutions they are self serving pyramids, hierarchal orders of
separation and elitism suppressing unity consciousness, evolution and the
empowerment of the individual.

Political, religious, and corporate institutions including most of your agencies
no longer operate within universal law or uphold its principles. They serve a
corporate elite and are used against the very people who gave them the power to
govern. This has reached epidemic proportions and as any infection in the
universal body this will be addressed to insure the continuation of life and
evolution. This shall be done above as below in a grand awakening and reckoning,
which is well underway. You will see great polarities, people choosing which
polarity they will serve. Some will in error think going back to the old ways,
serving the old matrix and finding their place in social consciousness is
security. The old matrix is collapsing and it is orchestrated by the source
itself. Those who serve the old matrix will experience the same downward spiral
until its eventual collapse. If you could see what is really in control of the
old matrix, the depths of evil, the pain and suffering generated by these
entities seen and unseen then experience their energies and vibration it would
make you ill. If you want to continue in denial of this look at the condition of
your society, the environment, the actions of your governments, major religions
and corporations. Look at the wars, the toxins in your water, your food, your
land, the air, follow the money and know the agenda. There are entities unseen,
which care nothing for human life or nature and actually feed off of the pain,
suffering and enslavement. You cannot deny this or remain asleep, it has reached
its apex in degeneration and this has brought it to the attention of great
masters, the very source itself and those who are in charge of dispensing
Universal Law.

The Earth has fallen into decadence, devolution and distress to a point where it
now must be addressed. In the days to come know who you aligning with,
supporting, drawing sustenance from and sleeping with. There is an old saying,
you are who you sleep with. Who are you in bed with, who do you work for? Are
you aligning with and supporting these hierarchal pyramids or their agencies in
denial for the sake of security. Are you participating in the manipulation,
enslavement, pain, suffering or harm to Humanity and the Earth. The days of
denial are over. Think long and hard on these questions for the choices and
actions will determine your future. Think of your children and the next
generations and the Earth herself. There is no future in aligning with the old
matrix, there are only consequences. You are loved greatly on high yet because
of this love for Humanity and the Earth actions are necessary to end the tyranny
and enslavement. The Earth was created and terra formed to be an Eden. A planet
where peace, harmony, beauty with a strong reverence for life are first and
foremost. A place where all life would take the upward spiral of evolution. It
is soon to be reset. There shall be a quickening, great changes, social,
economic and physical shall come upon humanity and the Earth. There will be the
upward spiral where those who have chosen to live in harmony with each other and
nature making their own personal God/Creator/Spirit connection will carry on.
They and their offspring will be the next generation to inherit the Earth. Those
who continue out of fear and a false security inspired by the tyrants and their
agencies to serve this evil matrix will meet the same fate as those tyrants and
their agencies. Do not fool yourself into be lie ving source is ignorant
unseeing and there will be no consequences to choices and actions outside of
Universal Law. It is time for the ego driven choices and actions to take a back
seat to spirit. Be at Peace

I have been at the side of this one delivering this message since birth. He has
died twice in this incarnation and I was there both times to revive him. There
was a reason. There are a few people on Earth who are known as the
incorruptibles. Though he has had many challenges each time he has gained the
wisdom from the experience and continued onward to serve with the highest
intent. This is why I have chosen him and others like him to deliver my message.
Humanity and the Earth; which is a reflection of Humanity have become extremely
imbalanced. There was a time the divine feminine was honored; it took the lead,
as it should in governing the affairs of Earth. The feminine by nature is
subjective; it is loving, nurturing, family and security oriented. Family does
not just mean relatives it encompasses all life. It is best equipped due to its
love and subjective nature to receive guidance from Creator. The masculine is
designed to be objective, carry out the inspirations of the divine feminine
protect and support it.

Today the Earth has more of a patriarchal governing system, completely out of
touch with Creator, ego driven with very little respect for the divine feminine,
which includes your Mother Earth. In my incarnation there were two aspects to
my son's teachings and ministry. There was the feminine side the house of Mary
and the masculine side the house of Jesus. Who do you think spent the most time
rearing Jesus and teaching him? Which house did he spend the most time in?
Although Jesus taught of an all forgiving God of love the omnipresent Creator,
birther and wellspring for life his teachings were hijacked by the masculine
side which instead chose the image of a masculine God, sometimes punishing and
wrathful, a God with strict rules and retributions for not following those
rules. My beloved daughter Mary Magdalene was also judged and demonized out of
jealousy with her legacy tainted by the rumors of men. She was of royal blood,
trained in the Egyptian Mystery Schools and was paramount in the support and
ascension of Jesus. They were and are today passionately in love yet that love
has taken on a more expanded role. We all continue to love, heal and support God
consciousness for those who seek our service. We are universal in nature and our
teachings.

When Jesus was aware it was his time to go he passed the scepter to the house of
Mary. They were more aligned with and connected to Creator and could better
serve Humanity and the Earth being more aligned with Natural Law. The masculine
side could not break away from the intellect, surrender to love, govern from the
heart and often wanted to use power over inspiration. These character traits
were the drive to take over the house of Mary, the divine feminine which to this
day has taken a back seat overshadowed and suppressed by the now governing
patriarchal leadership. Why are all the Popes Men? Why are most of the priests
and ministers men? Where is the feminine? Silent and in the back seat. This
same problem exists throughout the Earth yet a few cultures still honor and
respect their women rather that turn them into objects of pleasure, dutiful
slaves and sense gratification as in the west. This major imbalance and
degradation is coming to a close. It will be revealed and healed from on high
and from the very Earth herself.
The divine feminine energy has been exponentially increased to bring balance
back to Humanity and the Earth. The hijacking of the divine feminine will be
revealed, who has been behind it and who is still perpetuating it. Your wars,
the destruction of your environment, the divisions of family including your
extended family; which includes all cultures and color will all come togther in
a grand unification process. It is the great wave of unity consciousness your
elders have spoken of and it is here. I have given this message many times only
for it to be suppressed and withheld by the controlling systems of the
patriarchal leadership. Now it is time to spread this message far and wide. It
is a time to choose Peace. It is a time to choose unity consciousness guided
through the heart in all your choices and actions not through fear and
insecurity and external manipulation often mistaken for the heart. It is a time
for the divine feminine in everyone, men and women to stand up and come forward.
This inspiration is exponentially increasing as above so below and it is time to
align with it rather than continue in ways that do not promote peace, unity,
individual freedom and prosperity for all. Do not play the roles pressed upon
you by the patriarchal leadership; which has silenced, diminished and
objectified the divine feminine into dutiful slaves for pleasure. Do not subject
yourself too or allow anything other than respect, support of your divine
feminine and the Goddess within. Stand up for the other mothers and children who
deserve a life of equality. Seek out and find the love, the nurturing, the
spiritual strength of the house of Mary. Emerse yourself in it, become it. We
love you, all of Creation and it is time for LOVE to be the governing body of
Humanity and the Earth.

Oh no ~ You did not offend me my friend :)

And i did enjoy reading your comments, in regard to being around and dealing with the younger ones... Especially since i have been helping take care of two very entertainingly and wonderfully dramatic teenagers. Which has been a real eye opener (as well as a pleasure), in being able to share time and space with them both in real life...

But your comments also reminded me how different one's perspective can be taken here on the forum... That perhaps i put way too much thought, time and even care in posting here... And in reflection, i realized that (after nearly five years of posting here), perhaps i need to pull back a bit more and just allow others to have their time.

As far as the rolling eyes thing... it is something i will do on occasion in a kind of a mischievous and contemplating gesture... Especially when i am questioning and wondering ... Should i have really shared that ... :rolleyes:

I write this letter on the 10th anniversary of the Iraq War on behalf of my fellow Iraq War veterans. I write this letter on behalf of the 4,488 soldiers and Marines who died in Iraq. I write this letter on behalf of the hundreds of thousands of veterans who have been wounded and on behalf of those whose wounds, physical and psychological, have destroyed their lives. I am one of those gravely wounded. I was paralyzed in an insurgent ambush in 2004 in Sadr City. My life is coming to an end. I am living under hospice care.

I write this letter on behalf of husbands and wives who have lost spouses, on behalf of children who have lost a parent, on behalf of the fathers and mothers who have lost sons and daughters and on behalf of those who care for the many thousands of my fellow veterans who have brain injuries. I write this letter on behalf of those veterans whose trauma and self-revulsion for what they have witnessed, endured and done in Iraq have led to suicide and on behalf of the active-duty soldiers and Marines who commit, on average, a suicide a day. I write this letter on behalf of the some 1 million Iraqi dead and on behalf of the countless Iraqi wounded. I write this letter on behalf of us all—the human detritus your war has left behind, those who will spend their lives in unending pain and grief.

I write this letter, my last letter, to you, Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney. I write not because I think you grasp the terrible human and moral consequences of your lies, manipulation and thirst for wealth and power. I write this letter because, before my own death, I want to make it clear that I, and hundreds of thousands of my fellow veterans, along with millions of my fellow citizens, along with hundreds of millions more in Iraq and the Middle East, know fully who you are and what you have done. You may evade justice but in our eyes you are each guilty of egregious war crimes, of plunder and, finally, of murder, including the murder of thousands of young Americans—my fellow veterans—whose future you stole.

Your positions of authority, your millions of dollars of personal wealth, your public relations consultants, your privilege and your power cannot mask the hollowness of your character. You sent us to fight and die in Iraq after you, Mr. Cheney, dodged the draft in Vietnam, and you, Mr. Bush, went AWOL from your National Guard unit. Your cowardice and selfishness were established decades ago. You were not willing to risk yourselves for our nation but you sent hundreds of thousands of young men and women to be sacrificed in a senseless war with no more thought than it takes to put out the garbage.

I joined the Army two days after the 9/11 attacks. I joined the Army because our country had been attacked. I wanted to strike back at those who had killed some 3,000 of my fellow citizens. I did not join the Army to go to Iraq, a country that had no part in the September 2001 attacks and did not pose a threat to its neighbors, much less to the United States. I did not join the Army to “liberate” Iraqis or to shut down mythical weapons-of-mass-destruction facilities or to implant what you cynically called “democracy” in Baghdad and the Middle East. I did not join the Army to rebuild Iraq, which at the time you told us could be paid for by Iraq’s oil revenues. Instead, this war has cost the United States over $3 trillion. I especially did not join the Army to carry out pre-emptive war. Pre-emptive war is illegal under international law. And as a soldier in Iraq I was, I now know, abetting your idiocy and your crimes. The Iraq War is the largest strategic blunder in U.S. history. It obliterated the balance of power in the Middle East. It installed a corrupt and brutal pro-Iranian government in Baghdad, one cemented in power through the use of torture, death squads and terror. And it has left Iran as the dominant force in the region. On every level—moral, strategic, military and economic—Iraq was a failure. And it was you, Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney, who started this war. It is you who should pay the consequences.

I would not be writing this letter if I had been wounded fighting in Afghanistan against those forces that carried out the attacks of 9/11. Had I been wounded there I would still be miserable because of my physical deterioration and imminent death, but I would at least have the comfort of knowing that my injuries were a consequence of my own decision to defend the country I love. I would not have to lie in my bed, my body filled with painkillers, my life ebbing away, and deal with the fact that hundreds of thousands of human beings, including children, including myself, were sacrificed by you for little more than the greed of oil companies, for your alliance with the oil sheiks in Saudi Arabia, and your insane visions of empire.

I have, like many other disabled veterans, suffered from the inadequate and often inept care provided by the Veterans Administration. I have, like many other disabled veterans, come to realize that our mental and physical wounds are of no interest to you, perhaps of no interest to any politician. We were used. We were betrayed. And we have been abandoned. You, Mr. Bush, make much pretense of being a Christian. But isn’t lying a sin? Isn’t murder a sin? Aren’t theft and selfish ambition sins? I am not a Christian. But I believe in the Christian ideal. I believe that what you do to the least of your brothers you finally do to yourself, to your own soul.

My day of reckoning is upon me. Yours will come. I hope you will be put on trial. But mostly I hope, for your sakes, that you find the moral courage to face what you have done to me and to many, many others who deserved to live. I hope that before your time on earth ends, as mine is now ending, you will find the strength of character to stand before the American public and the world, and in particular the Iraqi people, and beg for forgiveness.

But the agency thinks we can build machines that learn and evolve, using algorithms — “probabilistic programming” — to parse through vast amounts of data and select the best of it. After that, the machine learns to repeat the process and do it better.

But building such machines remains really, really hard: The agency calls it “Herculean.” There are scarce development tools, which means “even a team of specially-trained machine learning experts makes only painfully slow progress.” So on April 10, Darpa is inviting scientists to a Virginia conference to brainstorm. What will follow are 46 months of development, along with annual “Summer Schools,” bringing in the scientists together with “potential customers” from the private sector and the government.

Called “Probabilistic Programming for Advanced Machine Learning,” or PPAML, scientists will be asked to figure out how to “enable new applications that are impossible to conceive of using today’s technology,” while making experts in the field “radically more effective,” according to a recent agency announcement. At the same time, Darpa wants to make the machines simpler and easier for non-experts to build machine-learning applications too.

It’s no surprise the mad scientists are interested. Machine learning can be used to make better systems for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, a core military necessity. The technology can be used to make better speech-recognition applications and self-driving cars. It keeps pace with the ever-enlarging war against internet spam filling our search engines and e-mail inboxes.

“Our goal is that future machine learning projects won’t require people to know everything about both the domain of interest and machine learning to build useful machine learning applications,” Darpa program manager Kathleen Fisher in an announcement. “Through new probabilistic programming languages specifically tailored to probabilistic inference, we hope to decisively reduce the current barriers to machine learning and foster a boom in innovation, productivity and effectiveness.”

Once that gets going, the scientists will first have to improve the “front end” and “back end” of the machines. Respectively, those are the parts of a computer learning system that developers see, and the parts responsible for figuring out a predictive model that helps the computer become smarter.

For developers at the front end, the machines can’t be too complicated, and the code should “balance the expressive power of the language with the corresponding difficulty of producing an efficient solver.” To make developing the machines more accessible to non-experts, debuggers and testing tools need to be understandable enough as well, so testers can figure out when there’s a bug or if the computer is spitting out inaccurate results.

The other question involves how to make computer-learning machines more predictable. Darpa believes it’s likely that the algorithms used in the systems will have to become much more sophisticated to find “the most appropriate solver or set of solvers given a particular model, query or set of prior data.” That could be “by incorporating data from the compiler optimization community.” Finally, the solvers need to work with a large number of different computers and do so efficiently: “including multi-core machines, GPUs, cloud infrastructures, and potentially custom hardware.”

If it works, then it means more advanced intelligence-gathering systems, less spam, and Minority Report-style self-driving cars of the future. Sounds like a pretty good deal. But to produce a machine-learning system that’s “effective,” the agency states: “Improvements on the order of two to four magnitude over the state of the art are likely necessary.” No pressure."
