Glad you got treatment William ... The potential for an infection is often great for something seeming so benign in nature ... When i worked in an emergency department back in the day ... i occasionally had to irrigate a cockroach from patients ears ... Imagine the sound (upon the eardrum) from its tiny little feet ... This often occurred while the person was asleep ... then suddenly awoken to the sounds of drums beating in their heads ... :(

This song was Inspired by an actual event as described in The Flying Saucer Reader by Jay David (1967). It seems that a group known as the "International Flying Saucer Bureau" sent a communiqué to all its members asking them to participate in an experiment termed "World Contact Day." Basically, they said that at a predetermined date and time, all the members should try to simultaneously send a telepathic message into outer space, in hopes of contacting Extra Terrestrials. The actual message they 'sent' started with the words "Calling occupants of interplanetary craft!" (thanks, Terry - St. Johns, Canada)

The Immigrant Economy: Last Stop Before the Border

The town of Altar, Sonora, is the last stop for thousands of migrants who plan to illegally cross the border that separates Mexico and the United States in search of a better life. Here, the economy revolves around migration. Along its streets we can find everything from special slippers to avoid detection by motion sensors installed in the Arizona desert, camouflage clothing to avoid being spotted by Border Patrol agents, backpacks, gloves, and even contraceptives for the women — as it is estimated that 80 percent of them will be raped during their journey.

We wanted to know how difficult this crossing is for the migrants. It involves walking across the desert for days on end, abuse at the hands of human traffickers, and being hunted by Border Patrol agents. VICE news visited the Sasabe desert, between Sonora and Arizona, which registers temperatures of up to 120 degrees during the day and drops below 30 degrees at night. In this hellhole, the migrants may run into Father Prisciliano Peraza, a cowboy who apart from delivering mass, also travels through the desert in his pickup truck, dropping off supplies to those attempting to cross the border — to help them avoid meeting their death during the attempt.

The Alien Intervention Theory

The Alien Intervention theory began in 1968 with the publication of Erich Von Daniken's Chariots of the Gods. In 1998, the skull was acquired by Ray and Melanie Young. As a neo-natal nurse, Melanie immediately realized that this was no ordinary skull.

In 1999, the Youngs teamed with Lloyd Pye to form the Starchild Project, an informal organization that would arrange for independent scientific testing of the skull by multiple labs and experts. The results uncovered by the research team ruled out all known physical deformities, and presented the scientific community with a genetic and physical profile never before seen on Earth.

DNA findings in 2011 indicate the Starchild Skull is extremely variant from human genetic norms. What remains is to determine whether that means it is "foreign to normal human genetics within the framework that subject is currently understood," or "definitely not from planet Earth, i.e., an alien".... or something in between.

Inside Salam, things have gotten so bad that some occupants are hunger striking in an attempt to draw attention to their plight. Caesar's Messiah: The Roman Conspiracy to Invent Jesus

Joseph Atwill began his religious studies as a youth in Japan at the only English-speaking school in the country, the Jesuit-run St. Mary’s Military Academy. The majority of each of his school days was spent studying Greek, Latin, and the Bible, which he found fascinating, although he eventually drifted away from the faith.

Having studied computer science in college, Atwill formed a series of successful companies with one of the most renowned programmers in the world, David Ferguson. Many years later, the sale of his interests in these companies allowed him to return to his earlier interest – the origins of Christianity. He spent over a decade studying hundreds of books, among them, the works of Robert Eisenman and the Dead Sea Scrolls. Together with Eisenman, Atwill wrote a paper on the dating of the Dead Sea Scrolls.

While studying the two most prominent works of the 1st century – Josephus’ “Wars of the Jews” and the Gospels – Atwill noticed a series of parallels occurring in sequence between the military campaign of the Roman Caesar Titus Flavius and the ministry of Jesus. His findings led him to a startling new conclusion about the origins of Christianity – that a Roman imperial family, the Flavians, had created Christianity to pacify the Jews’ rebellion against Rome, and even more incredibly, they had placed a literary satire within the Gospels and “Wars of the Jews” to inform posterity of this fact.

Roswell 67 Years On - Remembering The Roswell UFO Incident And Jesse Marcel Jr.

This week marks the 67th Anniversary of the Roswell UFO incident, arguably one of the most intriguing mysteries in Ufology history. As we do every year, Outer Places visited the New Mexico town that was put on the map by the events of July 1947, but this year was different than others. This year, Jesse Marcel Jr., one of the few people to have come into contact with wreckage retrieved from the crash site was not there. Marcel Jr. sadly passed away just a few weeks after he embarked on last year's historic trip to the UFO crash site and his childhood home. A year later, it feels like the right time to revisit those memorable events.

On the 66th anniversary of the famous Roswell UFO incident, the Outer Places team had the honor of accompanying Jesse Marcel Jr. and Frank Kimbler to the Roswell UFO crash site. In our short documentary, 'Revisiting Roswell', we learnt how Jesse Marcel Jr. got up close with materials from the crash site at the age of just 11 years old. We also heard about Frank Kimbler's quest to get his multiple crash site samples analyzed in the hope that, once and for all, we can understand just what landed there on that day in 1947.

The Roswell UFO incident will forever be an episode of intrigue and conspiracy, but more light is shed on the first few hours of the incident as Jesse Marcel Jr. tells us of the materials brought home by his father, Major Jesse Marcel Sr. As a Major with the US Air Force based in Roswell New Mexico, Jesse Marcel Sr. was among the first to set foot on the crash site after local man Mac Brazel discovered the wreckage. Now, 66 years on, people like Frank Kimbler are still searching for answers.

On this special day, deep in the New Mexican desert, we were lucky enough to join Jesse Marcel Jr. on a trip down memory lane as he returns to his childhood home. This is the same home in which he and his father studied the metallic material with the bizarre markings just hours after it was discovered.

Just weeks after this historic trip, Jesse Marcel Jr. passed away, aged 76. His daughter, Denice stating that "Although my Dad and Grandpa are no longer with us… The Roswell Legacy will live on FOREVER!!!"

Bizarre, Unreleased Bill Murray Movie Hits YouTube
'Nothing Lasts Forever' was written and directed by 'SNL' veteran Tom Schiller

Bill Murray appeared in two 1984 films: one, Ghostbusters, became an all-time classic; the other, Nothing Lasts Forever, was never released commercially (after being scrapped by MGM) and faded into cinematic obscurity. But as the A.V. Club notes (via Telegraph), the latter project has resurfaced on YouTube in its full 80-minute form.

Written and directed by Saturday Night Live veteran Tom Schiller, Nothing Lasts Forever is a sci-fi comedy starring Zach Galligan (Gremlins) as an artist struggling to realize his dreams in a surrealist Manhattan controlled by the Port Authority. Dan Aykroyd co-stars as Galligan's wise-ass, gun-sporting day-job boss, while Murray appears in a small role as a bus conductor who leads Galligan on a peace-seeking mission to the moon. The film, which was actually posted online three years ago (but brought into the public spotlight this week), veers in a number of strange directions – including musical numbers, dream sequences and transitions from black-and-white into color.

Nothing Lasts Forever has been shown at a handful of screenings (and aired on German television) over the years, but it's never been released on DVD or made available in a commercial format. Nonetheless, Murray fanatics can enjoy the full display of weirdness below.
