What exactly is it that you do Miriam? This is one of the most popular questions that people ask me when I meet them. It usually takes a few minutes to answer because I do many things, for many people, in many different ways by being in service to others.

In 2007 I stepped out into the public for the first time as I nervously shared with the world that I was, and am, a UFO contactee/abductee. Recently, in May of this year I was fortunate to have the opportunity to travel to Peterborough, Ontario Canada with representatives from Hopi to attend a conference, The Sacred Water Circle. This was an amazing event and my experience there was very healing for my soul and strengthened work for the future. It was an unexpected gift and powerfully uplifting to witness the level of commitment of support and protection of Sacred Water by all those that attended, as well as the group that organized the event.

This was the first event that I have attended where I witnessed a true commitment of being in service in a unified group. There were people from all walks of life. Traditional Elders, traditional people, government officials, educators, water experts, water scientists, policymakers and more. This was about sharing from the heart of traditional people to support and educate on the importance of respecting and maintaining our water supply levels for future generations. Many people that attended were very quiet in observing and listening to the speakers and attendees for how collaboration would be made possible or built upon to become stronger. Recently the Hopi Elders from Shungopavi Village released a statement for the first time in their history regarding prophecy. This prophecy was in regard to protecting and preserving water for future generations. Senate bill 2109 was defeated but the threat of Hopi losing their water is still very real. Being at the Sacred Water Circle event, myself and the Hopi were able to make strong and positive connections with individuals who are focused on protecting and preserving water for the future. This was an extremely powerful and encouraging event to participate in. In the future I’m confident that we will invite some of the people we met in Canada to come to Hopi Land so they may share and support the Hopi people in protecting their water for the future generations of not only Hopi, but all people in the southwest.

The Hopi are no different than most indigenous people around the world today who are facing challenges from the surrounding world. This is taking place through exploitation of their culture, stealing their land, distortion of their ceremonies and prophecies and corporations who use any and all means to take over their land, water and all the while destroying their culture and way of life. These are issues of conflict. There are those who would argue that traditional people should not be engaged in conflict as a means of being able to suppress their voices and opinions. When it comes to the exploitation in the public of Hopi prophecies and culture for non-Hopi people to gain recognition or make money is sometimes when I work behind the scenes to protect what is Sacred to the Hopi People.

Right now for example there is one individual who is exploiting not only the Hopi but the Tibetans as well and it is a very difficult situation for everyone involved. As you are aware what we seen the public is not always the truth. For years I have been witness to the fighting and problems this person has created and all the while talking to the public about love and light and heart. Some people do not see the harm that is being caused by the actions of this individual so they choose to be blind and continue supporting them. It’s really a reflection of the problem we have in the entire world. As long as its not effecting the person they can choose to not say or do anything. When in fact, it all effects them when we look at the planet as a whole. Time to awaken and be responsible.

As a collective we have a responsibility to preserve the elements of life on this planet so future generations may thrive. There are thousands of ways of being responsible and each individual must choose which path and way is right for them to follow. In my work I have chosen to give a great deal of my time and energy through the physical, spiritual, mental, emotional and financial means to protect, advocate for, educate and share the value of indigenous knowledge and culture both now and into our future if we want to survive.

For years now a great deal of the work that myself and a handful of key people have committed our lives to supporting and upholding the sacred balance of life. How we have chosen to do this is through building relationships around the world with like-minded people who are committed to the same value system of respecting life. Being respectful of the privacy of others it is often a challenge for me personally to share the depth of work that is currently taking place, while still respecting the privacy of those involved.

I can share with you is that over the past several months the work that we are doing has been reaching a broader number of people and groups who are working collectively and separately to protect life on this planet. It is individuals like you, who are reading this blog post, that truly makes the difference in the world.

Through this website Blue Star Prophecy I’ve been able to share some of the journeys and experiences that have taken place over the years. Being blessed several years ago by an individual who volunteered to help build the site and by doing so allowing me to have this portal to the public. Today with the new technology that we have in building websites I’ve decided that in order for me to share more with you about my work, my life, my insights and knowledge…… I need to rebuild this website.

This is another area that I have given some focus towards in the last several months. In fact, there is an individual from Australia who has volunteered to help create a website for “Miriam Delicado”. This will be more of a media website and I will rebuild Blue Star so I may continue sharing more information with you.

Everything that I do in this life at this time is driven by a deep inner knowing that we are all responsible for our future. A great deal of this insight comes from my contact with the tall blond extraterrestrials. In saying this, I still have a personal life in which I struggle and try to maintain balance while continuing to awaken further and grow spiritually to become a better human being. It is my belief that even those who were considered to be gurus and Masters also strive for the same goal.

I was fortunate over the past five months to have the opportunity to travel what seemed like all over the world. My journey began by leaving Canada and flying to visit friends in Costa Rica. This flight was paid for through airline miles that a friend donated to me. After this my journey took me to Arizona for two months where I was going to spend time with the Hopi people.

A great deal happened during this time and I must say that when I left, I left a changed person who is stronger, clearer and more confident than ever before in my life. This change came about as a result of a very difficult situation that I was placed in. I recognized something deep within myself that needed to change and it was a realization that in fact shifted my life in almost every way.

I realized that when I am surrounded by strong confident people, I am strong and confident. When I am surrounded by negative and dark people, I am dark and negative. When I am surrounded by happy and joyful people, I am happy and joyful.

Give and receive with respect. This will be my guide for the future of my life. Having this mantra helped me to see clearly that when I was being disrespectful to specific people in my life it was because of the level of disrespect that they were giving to me. What has changed within me and in my life is that I realize I do not have to engage individuals in this manner. What changed within me…… is an understanding that not only do I not need to engage them, I do not need to walk with them since they are choosing to walk a different path. Being compassionate sometimes means walking away and not supporting either our own negativity or the negativity of others.

I traveled with a representative of Hopi from Arizona to Ontario and the sacred water circle. Once again this journey was blessed to have been paid for through the organizers of this event. (Report on that above.)

Instead of flying me home to British Columbia, the organizers of the Sacred Water Circle choose to fly me to New Jersey where my friends had a place for me to stay before I continued traveling to Brazil. The flight to New Jersey was paid for through the generosity and support of the Sacred Water Circle.

As many of you know, I have not attended many conferences in person. When I received an invitation to attend a conference in Brazil and I saw the quality of presenters there would be attending I immediately said yes. Once again, I was blessed to have the opportunity to fly to Brazil through the generosity of the organizers of the conference. In my opinion after having this experience of meeting the Brazilian people I would have to say that they are the kindest, most humble and respectful people that I have met to date.

It was the first time that I’ve had the opportunity to meet Travis Walton, which I know many of you are very aware of his abduction story from Arizona. Another attendee was Debbie Jordan who is another very famous abductee. In fact she was my roommate during the conference. It was an incredible few days, with incredible people and very positive energy. During our stay we were all blessed to have a family that attended the event help myself and several of the other presenters every day we were there. They took us for dinner and lunch as well is helping us with any of our needs since none of us spoke Portuguese. It was actually very funny trying to communicate without having a single word of Portuguese. Next year if I’m blessed enough to attend this event I will have to spend some time practicing a few phrases and sentences to communicate with the people. My personal gratitude goes to all of those individuals in Brazil who opened their homes and hearts and allowing me to have such an amazing experience.

While I was in the city of Rio de Janeiro I was invited to stay in the home of a woman who was very interested in my work. She invited me to stay in her home for a couple of days before I returned to North America. During my visit in her home we spent hours talking about ufology and how it relates to the rest of the world. She was also very interested in my work with indigenous people and that included the Hopi. There were some very powerful connections that took place at the time of this visit. In fact, upon my return to North America I contacted the Hopi and shared some information that I thought they may be interested in. We are now in the process of continued dialogue between the Hopi, myself and our contacts in Rio de Janeiro. We hope to be able to support and participate in some upcoming work with the Hopi and some contacts in South America. I know that in the future the details of this work will be shared with the public. So in this regard I thank you for your understanding and continued support in honoring and respecting the Hopi as I do with respecting their privacy as well.

During the five months that I was traveling I did have some contact with the star beings. It’s interesting for me to have such faith in that inner voice when it comes to me and guides me on this path in life. Whether it is the star beings or my own inner guidance, both of them are very powerful. For many years now those individuals who were closest to me have witnessed the Miracles that take place in my life by following this inner guidance.

For example the synchronicity’s that we experience in our life can often does guide us to an incredible experience. What I have found over the years in following this synchronicity is that this synchronicity is something that many people fear. Even on this journey in the last few months I met one individual who was clearly meant to be a part of something greater and when they were surrounded by synchronicity they still chose to continue walking in the exact same way they always have. Excluding themselves through their own choice and free will to not have an extraordinary and profound experiences with what I call the Creator or God. They walk away because choosing something that is not familiar to them is fearful.

In order to take on any kind of responsibility in this world we have to accept that responsibility and be prepared for the work that goes along with it. This is one of the greatest challenges we have in this world today. What I find ironic is that many of the people who have crossed my path over the years have said they want to see change in the world and yet, they do very little to support that change themselves. Talking about being spiritual is not the same as being spiritual. Talking about being responsible is not the same as being responsible. Talking about supporting a cause is not the same as actual support to a cause. There are many ways to do this, financially, politically, socially, spiritually or religiously, to name a few.

I’ve been fortunate along this path to have a core group of people and supporters who surround me and have for many years. Through all of the challenges it is this core group that holds me together, holds the work together, and supports the cause that we are all working towards. Which is creating the future in which humanity still has clean water to drink, natural foods to eat, and an abundance of resources that allow for continued expansion and growth as a global society as an example. How we attain this is through the smallest of steps that grows into a larger and more unified movement of people.

I’m now back in Canada and already making new plans with people from four continents around the world to work together as we seek solutions to the issues we face today.

I would like to leave you all with a very positive message and thank you for taking the time to read this blog post.

The Star Beings often share insights and visions of the future with me. It was three years ago when they came to me and shared with me both insights and visions of what was coming. In fact what they shared was a very beautiful, powerful and spiritual connection that would be taking place between very specific people. When everything that they had shared with me manifested I was in awe and amazement at the power of the universe and the power of the Creator itself.

What took place over the next few years after this meeting was very challenging to watch as individuals who were filled with light turned dark and only focused on power and ego. The ego is a trickster and we always must be aware of it to see if this ego is supportive or destructive in its nature.

What happened in the last three months was almost an identical repeat of the events that took place three years ago. What this means for us as a collective is that the universe and the Creator itself is giving us a second chance. Meetings are now taking place with new individuals that are based in humility and respect. This is the path to the future.

In order to continue this important work we need your support. I am asking you to pray or meditate sending positive energy with protection, strength and clarity out into the world in all directions. Also asking you to recognize the value of sending this energy to our political and social policy makers assisting them to become clear in their priorities to protect life.

Collective prayer has a scientific impact and a physical impact on what we pray for.

That would be quite hard on your skin being licked by a cow, they have very raspy tongues! They have very distinct and individual personalities. Some cows with a calf will feed their own calf plus half the neighbourhood! Most aren't that generous though. I shouldn't take up the thread with cow stories though. Since I began Tai Chi in 1988, I’ve thought if I were to get a tattoo, it’d be “inhale-exhale”. It’s been the #1 advice I pass along. I’m listening to the video and made a note to do Tai Chi afterwards. Then a praying mantis flashed in my mind. I stopped the video to look up the meaning:

“You could benefit from studying and practicing a martial-arts discipline such as Kung Fu, Chi Gong, or Tai Chi, which has a strong meditative and spiritual component.”

Watched this documentary recently and really enjoyed it. It could be interesting to anyone who hasn’t seen it.

Schauberger was a nature-lover and inventor, whose affinity with nature lead to interesting scientific insights.

Among these were his respect for water (its beauty, life force and behaviour), his observations on vortexes in nature, and his preference for implosion (not explosion) energy systems.

As we make our way across the historical landscape toward the sensed presence of this transcendental other, so it is making its way toward us through the content of dreams, psychedelic experiences and the careers of spiritually advanced people. History, which is a state of extreme instability and disequilibrium, lasts only fifteen or twenty thousand years. That history is about to be transformed or ended, that the factors that shaped history - phonetic alphabets, male dominance, materialism, scientific method, empiricism - these factors are about to be made obsolete by discoveries in the human and natural realm. We, the people of the high-tech civilizations, are like the prodigal son. We made a descent into matter. We have wandered many years in the wilderness.


Now, in a time of great planetary crisis, we must return to the tribal fold. We must take what we learned from our peregrination into history and return to the tribal model with it. Only in that way, then, can we reclaim our sexuality, our identities and reclaim the planet for itself. The styles that have evolved within history, the styles of male dominance, concern for tracing male lines of paternity, private property, control of females and so on, all this has arisen as a result of the establishing and maintaining of the ego.

The ego is the function of the personality that is most at home and at ease within the context of history, but really the ego is like a calcareous tumor that arises within the dynamics of the psyche and lodges like a cancer or a tumor in the structures of the psyche. The only cure or treatment that I am aware of for the calcareous tumor of ego is frequently repeated exposure to psychedelic plants. This is the essence of their boundary-dissolving function, and twelve to twenty thousand years ago the ordinary style of human society was nomadic pastoralism and psychedelic intoxication on a schedule that was very probably lunar. Reclaiming that orgiastic boundaryless style of sexual relating is part of what the archaic revival is about.


I'm the purveyor of a bizarre notion which was told to me by an elf troop. It's a formal mathematical notion that argues very strongly that we are headed toward a planetary transformation within our lifetimes, specifically around 2012, and this is not a political transformation, or a biological transformation, it's a transformation of the laws of physics themselves. Well It is official... I saw my first Bigfoot today at the ECETI Ranch. It was a young Bigfoot about 5 feet tall. It was in the orchard area eating apples when something startled it and it ran away. I was in the kitchen library area sipping coffee when I saw it run by. I had no camera. I yelled "big foot" and got up after it.. By the time I got out to the apple tree it was gone into the woods. However I yelled over to Roger Clooten who was packing up his car to bring a camera and take footage of the grass that was flattened and the footprints.. there were other listeners that saw it too ... and wondered what it was. It had brown hair and it could run really fast!

We’ll also hear how Blacks, Hispanics and Indians fought on the Confederate side and also about Andersonville Prison, where thousands of Union prisoners died of starvation, disease, and exposure. Lawlessness abounded on all sides after the reconstruction era. We’ll talk about why the KKK was formed, who their targets were and what they were responding to. This side of the story is rarely heard. Later, Michael gives his take on the Lincoln assassination and he responds to the accusation that the founding fathers of America were racists.

The madness that has allowed the progression of the Fukushima meltdowns has at least made newsworthy enough the reporting of nuclear waste leaks at Hanover, Carlsbad, NM, and elsewhere. Events that might not have made it to the news were it not for gathering public interest. But, just as at Fukushima, the official releases have been focused on purely handling public perception and not truth.

We will connect the recent wave of earthquakes and the magnitude threat posed by shifting conditions in Yellowstone to such irresponsible practices as these. Together with the extensive extraction of oil and now fracking, subsurface detonations in the past, the madness of employing HAARP, and the decline of an atmosphere that once shielded us from full spectrum light, this planet has been brought to the very crossroads where one more wrong turn can easily lead to our extinction.

The show has been plagued by several interruptions, at one time David had to reboot his whole system.

During the first interruption at minute 40 into the show, James was discussing the lawyer from Florida and how, when I answered his question about what happened in Sasebo Harbor, he decided to give up the trip. My take on it was that if that was too difficult to accept, he wouldn’t have been ready for what was in the ridge valley.

In the second one where James audio breaks up at 2h24min, James explains how the powers-that-be are so entrenched in their madness that they had rather destroy everyone, including themselves, as long as they are still on top than survive with losing any of their hold on power.

One or two Orbs almost always show up for quick pass by my condo. All captured with Luna Optics and Yukon Digital night vision monoculars.Vancouver July 7 and July 21st, 2014. THIS is the early morning image of the skies over Swansea which left an ex-soldier staring in amazement.

The photograph, which was taken in the early hours of Monday, shows a shadowy object hovering several hundred feet in the air, over Llansamlet.

Witnesses say the object made no noise and soon disappeared.

The photograph was taken by quick-thinking Paul Lewis, who snapped the object from the bedroom window of his home in Mayhill.

Mr Lewis, who was formerly with the Royal Armoured Corps, immediately ruled out the possibility the object was a helicopter or any kind of aircraft as there was no noise.

"It was very hot in my bedroom so I opened the window and noticed a strange, stationary object hovering above Swansea," he said.

" The object made no noise and my first notion was perhaps it was an exceptionally large bird of prey however the object remained stationary for at least five minutes.

"I thought that it was strange and it seemed to have something hanging below it so I grabbed my phone and I took several pictures of it. The whole time the object made no movement and no sound. I must have watched for seven minutes in total."

After attending to his young son Caesen for a moment, Paul, aged 24, says the object disappeared.

"When you look at the picture it would be easy to suggest it might be a bird or a kite, but then this would have to be a very large object and to remain stationary for so long was unusual," he said.

"I doubt a bird of that size could hover for that long. We would be talking about a huge bird. There is also something hanging beneath it also.

"I would like to know if perhaps anyone else who was up at that time and saw the object as I would like to know what it is. I certainly will be keeping an eye out in the future to see if the object returns."

The strange episode has been highlighted by UFO enthusiast Gavin Davies, who runs the Paranormal Chronicles website.

He said: "Some will see an alien spaceship and some will see a bird or a plane. It will be interesting to see if anyone else witnessed the object or has clear evidence, not speculation, on what it is."

A woman says she has been left ‘freaked right out’ after she saw a strange light in the sky – then heard that not only had a friend seen it too, and photographed it, but that a mysterious crop circle had been discovered the following morning.

Jo Webb said she and her friend Lisa Willcox were returning home to Malmesbury from an evening trip to Cirencester on the first Monday night of July, when she saw a strange light in the sky.

“I was driving and I spotted a bright orange light in the sky to the right at an angle of about 45 degrees,” she said. “We were driving down the A429 just approaching the Charlton Park Estate and it was away to the south west.

“It looked like something exploding in the sky, really bright and fiery. I was looking at it as best I could, while driving. It wasn’t moving and it was there for a while. I looked at the road, looked back and it just vanished completely,” she added.

I spent my morning and part of the afternoon listening to Jon Rappoport’s material. And as it always happens, I get side tracked. I wanted to research Ellis Medavoy and Dr. Peter Duesberg. So I'm now listening to a video call, “AIDS Inc.”

At one time, when I was working with Viktoras Kulvinskas (co-founder of the Hippocrates Health Institute and known as "father of wheat grass therapy" in the West, I had in my possession a printout of a study done at a Texas university research facility.
The study was conducted on AIDS and cancer patients who were considered "hopeless cases".
They were given fresh aloe vera gel daily and a healthy diet and exercise regimen.

Aloe Vera Research doesn't only consist of the medicinal uses of aloe vera for minor aches and pains. Unfortunately, it is not a common thing, but occassionally you seem to hear about amazing healing testimonials. And when we talk of a slow-death causing virus such as the HIV virus we don't even think of a healing testimonial because we are told it is deadly. Nevertheless, some interesting studies conducted by Dr. Terry Pulse are worth reading and watching.

Dr. Terry Pulse, a physician in Texas, was having phenomenal success treating HIV and AIDS patients with pure aloe vera juice. He had conducted an aloe vera gel research study with a total of 29 patients over a period of 9 months. Fifteen of those patients had full-blown AIDS, twelve of them had AIDS and two were HIV positive without major symptoms. They were put on a nutritional regimen including daily amounts of pure aloe gel. After six months, there were substantial improvements in different medical tests, including an increase in the cell count and a decrease in P-24 core antigen. This means that their immunity had improved significantly.

Another study where patients were given 1000 mg of Aloe Vera Gel daily showed a 20% improvement in symptoms in patients with AIDS. It further showed a 70% improvement of symptoms in patients with HIV. Furthermore, symptoms such as fever, nicht sweats, diarrhea, opportunistic infections, etc were either eliminated or reduced significantly. Some patients who had T-4 helper cell counts of below 200 got them back up to 800, eliminating all symptoms.

Dr. Pulse stated that Aloe Vera Juice is to an HIV or even AIDS patient what Insulin is to a Diabetic. It is the answer to prolong life significantly. According to Dr. Pulse's report which was published in the Journal of Advancement in Medicine, most patients who were symptomatic improved their energy levels within days. Their symptoms had decreased, some were even eliminated all together.

I have a very good friend who has been HIV positive for a very long time now. In a quest to help him, I am always researching this subject to find out more information and to read up on medical research in regards to this "debilitating disease".

For HIV AIDS patients it is important to keep a strong immune system. A strong immune system is gained with a optimally-working digestive system. "In the first half of the program, George Knapp was joined by legendary ufologist Jacques Vallee, who discussed a recent discrete gathering of international UFO experts that was not mentioned to the public. He revealed that the two-day conference was organized by the French version of NASA, known as CNES, and featured 30 presentations to about 100 attendees. According to Vallee, the focus of the conference revolved around determining the best way to gather and research UFO cases as well as how to synthesize that data. He attributed the event to a change in the French scientific community, where a new generation has emerged that is willing to take a fresh look at the UFO phenomenon. Unlike UFO research in the United States, which is beset with ideological disputes, Vallee noted, this examination of the phenomenon centered around "a good long look at the data."

"To that end, Vallee explained that, fifteen years ago, he designed a data warehouse to collect various UFO sighting databases. Based on conversations from the CNES conference, he declared that "I'm now taking it to the next level." He speculated that there are around 200,000 well-documented cases from groups collecting UFO reports all over the world and this massive trove of information can be mined for new insights into the phenomenon, such as global patterns, physical facts, and special locations where events seem to occur with more frequently. This statistical approach, Vallee argued, eschews presupposed conclusions and, instead, allows for an unbiased investigation of "researchable questions" that may allow for the ability to predict UFO behavior. Additionally, he marveled that, given the plethora of data, technology, and expertise already available, such a project can begin immediately and in earnest."

"In the latter half, writer, reporter and media personality, Lee Speigel, reflected on a special meeting he had with the UN in 1978 (along with Jacques Vallee) where he presented his case about UFOs. He recalled that the impetus for the UN event came from then-Prime Minister of Grenada, Eric Gairy, who had been giving speeches throughout 1977 where he claimed his country was a UFO hot spot and proposed sharing of information about the phenomenon amongst UN countries. Seeing that Gairy's proclamations were being ignored, Speigel reached out to the Grenadian government offering to help spread the message. In a private meeting shortly thereafter, Gairy made a handshake deal with Speigel to sponsor his UN presentation with the assurance that the top UFO researchers would be part of the event."

Ultimately, on November 27, 1978, Speigel and his colleagues made their presentation to the United Nations, which subsequently adopted decision GA426, a resolution that allowed member nations to "coordinate and share data about UFOs if they so desire." However, when the United States and USSR displayed no interest in the initiative, other nations followed suit and also opted not to participate. As a result, Speigel said, "that resolution has been lying dormant to this day," waiting for willing nations to put it to use."

Reports of people having "near-death" experiences go back to antiquity, but the oldest medical description of the phenomenon may come from a French physician around 1740, a researcher has found.

The report was written by Pierre-Jean du Monchaux, a military physician from northern France, who described a case of near-death experience in his book "Anecdotes de Médecine." Monchaux speculated that too much blood flow to the brain could explain the mystical feelings people report after coming back to consciousness.

The description was recently found by Dr. Phillippe Charlier, a medical doctor and archeologist, who is well known in France for his forensic work on the remains of historical figures. Charlier unexpectedly discovered the medical description in a book he had bought for 1 euro (a little more than $1) in an antique shop.


"I was just interested in the history of medicine, and medical practices in the past, especially during this period, the 18th century," Charlier told Live Science. "The book itself was not an important one in the history of medicine, but from a historian's point of view, the possibility of doing retrospective diagnosis on such books, it's something quite interesting."

To his surprise, Charlier found a modern description of near-death experience from a time in which most people relied on religion to explain near-death experiences.

The book describes the case of a patient, a famous apothecary (pharmacist) in Paris, who temporarily fell unconscious and then reported that he saw a light so pure and bright that he thought he must have been in heaven.

Today, near-death experience is described as a profound psychological event with transcendental and mystical elements that occurs after a life-threatening crisis, Charlier said. People who experience the phenomenon report vivid and emotional sensations including positive emotions, feeling as though they have left their bodies, a sensation of moving through a tunnel, and the experiences of communicating with light and meeting with deceased people.

Charlier compared the nearly 250-year-old description with today's "Greyson criteria," which is a scale that a psychiatrist developed in the 1980s to measure the depth of people's near-death experiences, so that these cases could be uniformly studied. The scale includes questions about the perceptions people report during near-death experiences, for example altered sense of time, life review and feelings of joy. A score of 7 or higher out of a possible 32 is classified as a near-death experience.

Although the data in the old book were limited, Charlier determined that the patient would have scored at least 12/32 on the Greyson criteria, Charlier said. He published his findings last month in the journal Resuscitation.

In the 18th-century case description, Monchaux also compared his patient with other people who reported similar experiences, caused by drowning, hypothermia and hanging.

The physician offered a medical explanation for the bizarre sensations, too, but his explanation was the opposite of what modern day physicians name as the likely cause of near-death experience, Charlier said. Monchaux speculated that in all of reported cases of near-death experience, the patients were left with little blood in the veins in their skin, and abundant blood flowing in the vessels within their brains, giving rise to the vivid and strong sensations.

Mass Sighting in Toronto - July 26, 2014

Torontonians were on high alert late Saturday, after residents spotted an unidentified flying object in the night sky over Yonge Street and Sheppard Avenue.

Several videos were posted to YouTube and photos circulated on Twitter and Facebook.

“I don’t believe in aliens, but now … I don’t know what I saw tonight and I don’t know what I should say about it anymore,” a Facebook user, Roxanna Maleki, said in a video posted to her profile page.

Ms. Maleki described stepping out of a movie theatre to see “big shinning lights” hovering in the sky.

“I was so nervous,” she said in the video. “Everybody was screaming, ‘What the hell is that?’”

Witnesses appear to have turned to social media, rather than police, for protection. Police at 32 Division said they didn’t receive any calls about the mysterious flying object.

Sarah Chun, a 36-year-old IT specialist, was sitting at the dinner table in her 15 floor condo late Saturday when she spotted something floating outside her window. She filmed the strange row of hovering lights using her ipad, and posted the results online. The clip has been viewed over 4,000 times.

“I guess that’s the power of social media,” she said. “People are very interested in the idea of UFOs.”
