A behemoth of a crocodile was captured on tape chasing a young boy through Mexican waters as terrified onlookers attempted a rescue.

The video, first published by Noticaribe "not long ago," shows the young male, thought to be a tourist, fleeing for the shore in Sian Ka'an. Behind him, a crocodile gives chase. The videographer, Manuel Carrera, shot video from the Boca Paila bridge above.

Just as the crocodile closes in, one of the onlookers throws an object that distracts it long enough for the boy to make it to shore.

"Fortunately... the boy was saved because the crocodile is well fed and chased at a pace that allowed him to reach the shore," Carrera said, according to 9 News.

MORNING PLANETS: Did you see that? This morning Venus and Jupiter converged in the pre-dawn sky for a spectacular conjunction. At closest aproach they were barely 0.2o apart. Didier Van Hellemont sends this picture from Les Estables, France:

"I photographed Venus and Jupiter from Mount Mezenc, one of the higher points of the Auvergne region in France," says Van Hellemont. "The sky was so clear and beautiful. It was definitely worth the early wake-up call."

The planets are separating now, but not too quickly. They will still be a beautiful pair for the rest of the week. A date of special interest is August 23rd when the crescent Moon joins the planets to form a bright celestial triangle in the eastern pre-dawn sky.

Observing tips: Go outside 30 minutes before sunrise and look north-northeast. No telescope is required. Jupiter and Venus are bright enough to see with the naked eye even from light polluted cities. Try following the bright pair after the dawn sky begins to brighten. A tight conjunction of Venus and Jupiter framed by twilight blue is a great way to start the day. I believe it's best to turn off comment boards and back off of social media in general. This is just my personal opinion and I do see the other side of course. I don't mind at all if you don't agree. But this is an unrepresented and often ignored side of the equation, and I also explain the energetic and esoteric roots behind this opinion.

I see detaching oneself from society and the opinions of others necessary for telling the dark truths that require courage and enlightenment. It's not easy to talk about the truth these days. And group think and the growing hive mind mentality are programmed to rail against it, calling people crazy when all they are doing is informing the public.

The same way an artist must internally detach themselves from the opinion of fans and critics while they are creating their art, I believe the same rule applies when creating mini documentaries that delve into uncovering truth and other controversial topics.

MORNING PLANETS: Did you see that? This morning Venus and Jupiter converged in the pre-dawn sky for a spectacular conjunction. At closest aproach they were barely 0.2o apart. Didier Van Hellemont sends this picture from Les Estables, France:

"I photographed Venus and Jupiter from Mount Mezenc, one of the higher points of the Auvergne region in France," says Van Hellemont. "The sky was so clear and beautiful. It was definitely worth the early wake-up call."

The planets are separating now, but not too quickly. They will still be a beautiful pair for the rest of the week. A date of special interest is August 23rd when the crescent Moon joins the planets to form a bright celestial triangle in the eastern pre-dawn sky.

Observing tips: Go outside 30 minutes before sunrise and look north-northeast. No telescope is required. Jupiter and Venus are bright enough to see with the naked eye even from light polluted cities. Try following the bright pair after the dawn sky begins to brighten. A tight conjunction of Venus and Jupiter framed by twilight blue is a great way to start the day. I believe it's best to turn off comment boards and back off of social media in general. This is just my personal opinion and I do see the other side of course. I don't mind at all if you don't agree. But this is an unrepresented and often ignored side of the equation, and I also explain the energetic and esoteric roots behind this opinion.

I see detaching oneself from society and the opinions of others necessary for telling the dark truths that require courage and enlightenment. It's not easy to talk about the truth these days. And group think and the growing hive mind mentality are programmed to rail against it, calling people crazy when all they are doing is informing the public.

The same way an artist must internally detach themselves from the opinion of fans and critics while they are creating their art, I believe the same rule applies when creating mini documentaries that delve into uncovering truth and other controversial topics.

UFO Over Houston

The photo was taken in Houston, Texas on Monday, August 11, 2014 at around 7:30pm in the parking lot of a Kroger Grocery store. On this particular evening there was an unusually fierce thunderstorm in the Houston area. The lighting was very intense. I was walking into the supermarket when I decided to take a picture of the cloud formations over the downtown Houston skyline. I snapped the picture and went on my way. As I was walking through the parking lot I noticed a number of people pointing their cellphones to the sky to take pictures. Not unusual during a storm of this type but the strange thing is that they were pointing in a direction opposite the lightning.

Anyway, the next day there were several news stories (http://www.click2houston.com/news/new-video-of-possible-ufo-over-houston/27462562) on the local NBC affiliate concerning several sightings of UFOs during the storm. I thought nothing of it until a few days later I was going through my phone pictures and came across the pictures I took. For kicks I opened my pic and wouldn't you know one picture had this pair of "lights".

I can tell you that I did not notice anything when I took the picture. I know it is not a reflection of the street lamp because I took another one seconds later and there is nothing in the sky. It is just odd. Any thoughts?

Miraculous Coincidences: The Origins And Meaning Of Synchronicity


"Manifesting itself in names, numbers, words, objects, symbols and events, synchronicity is essentially the occurrence of a meaningful (or even miraculous) coincidence in your life. This experience seems far too significant to be a mere day-to-day serendipitous encounter.

Most of us have experienced various synchronicities in our lives before, and if you have ever been curious to learn more about them, read on!

Magic In The Air

Hindu’s believe synchronicity is a manifestation of Brahman, or the fundamental connection of all living things within the universe, quantum physicists attribute it to the “non-local” mind (or universal consciousness), and skeptics call it Apophenia, or the practice of seeing connections and patterns in random and/or meaningless data.

Whatever it is, synchronicity is far too common and too intriguing an experience to overlook or quickly dismiss and forget about. As author of You Are Not So Smart, David McRaney concludes:

Just remember that meaning comes only from within.

Therefore, the only person who can understand why a synchronious experience occurs and what it means is you.

Origins

Common explanations for the origins of synchronicity include the following:

Unconscious mind. Just like your dreams, elements of your waking life could also be subtle manifestations of your unconscious mind which is trying to warn you, guide you or teach you about something.

Harmony of energy. As everything consists of tiny vibrating atoms, or energy (which is a fact), synchronicity could also be a manifestation of inter-global or environmental harmony, where the frequencies and vibrations of the moment sync together in perfect equilibrium, or Oneness, producing such experiences.

Law of attraction. This theory essentially states that whatever good or bad events in life happen are caused by your thoughts and feelings. Thus “like attracts like”, which possibly explains the origins of synchronicity.

Psychic abilities. Synchronicity is also thought to be a small manifestation of psychic abilities where, for example, we intuit that a certain person will call us or significant event will befall us, and it does.

Here is an illustration from my own life to help you better grasp all of this:

A few years ago I was in a local shopping center looking at baby animals for sale in a pet store window. This particular time of my life was tumultuous, both emotionally and spiritually, and I was beginning to seriously question the validity of all that I had been taught as a child who was brought up in a strict, fundamentalist religion. Staring absent-mindedly at the animals, I began to think about my troubles, and the version of truth that had been presented to me. Suddenly, out of the blue, a complete stranger walked up to me, introduced himself, and said that for some reason he was drawn to me. This eccentric man began to talk about truth and what he felt it was, to my absolute astonishment!

I believe this short and unexpected conversation I had with this man helped guide me towards the path I’m on today. If that wasn’t full blown synchronicity, I’m not sure what is!

A Message In Disguise

Have you ever thought that perhaps the synchronicity you experience in your life is a message in disguise? Whether you are a skeptic or not, I encourage you to take action like I did, and see where you are led.

Welcoming synchronicity into your life is simple, and includes:

Awareness. Practice alertness and pay attention to the present moment.

Openness. Maintain an open-minded outlook towards synchronicity. This will enhance your receptibility towards such experience.

Humility. Sometimes what you desire or think is best for yourself is not. Learn to have a very loose hold on your desires. In this way you won’t be imposing yourself on life, but you will allow life to impose itself on you.

Trust. Trust that synchronicity will appear in your life, and trust the still, small voice within to follow it when the time or situation feels right. When you learn to trust yourself, you also learn to trust life.

Listen. Listen to what your gut is telling you – your unconscious mind is vast and limitless. Doors are being opened for us all the time, and when we listen to our instincts many of these doors freely present themselves to us.

Laurel Canyon in the 1960s and early 1970s was a magical place where a dizzying array of musical artists congregated to create much of the music that provided the soundtrack to those turbulent times. Members of bands like the Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, the Monkees, the Beach Boys, the Mamas and the Papas, the Turtles, the Eagles, the Flying Burrito Brothers, Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention, Steppenwolf, Captain Beefheart, CSN, Three Dog Night, Alice Cooper, the Doors, and Love with Arthur Lee, along with such singer/songwriters as Joni Mitchell, Judy Collins, James Taylor, Carole King, Jackson Browne, Judi Sill and David Blue, lived together and jammed together in the bucolic community nestled in the Hollywood Hills.

But there was a dark side to that scene as well.

Many didn't make it out alive, and many of those deaths remain shrouded in mystery to this day. Far more integrated into the scene than most would care to admit was a guy by the name of Charles Manson, along with his murderous entourage. Also floating about the periphery were various political operatives, up-and-coming politicians, and intelligence personnel - the same sort of people who just happened to give birth to many of the rock stars populating the canyon. And all of the canyon's colorful characters - rock stars, hippies, murderers, and politicos - happily coexisted alongside a covert military installation.

Weird Scenes Inside the Canyon is the very strange, but nevertheless true story of the dark underbelly of a hippie utopia.

In response to her personal diplomacy Kaoru established the “International Affairs Institute for World Peace” in New York in 1985, and in 1991, the “Following the Sun Association” was organized for people aspiring toward peace.

Nakamaru’s aim is for a “world peace through human renaissance. Wealth, fame, power do not make humans happy, as true happiness is borne from a heart filled with love, harmony, and peace. When there is peace within the hearts of each person, from VIPs to average citizens, then world peace is realized. The phrase ”one world” mistakenly conjures up a religious movement, but Nakamaru has absolutely no religion ties. Nakamaru believes in a religion of her own, but does not belong to any group, saying that, “The world transcends all the many religions, races, ideologies so there cannot be just one.

As for her personal life, in 1966 she married Tadao Nakamaru, an actor who worked with Toshiro Mifune. She has a son and a daughter.

From 1975 to 2014, she has published 80 books from world politics to spiritual world.

Global Grief – Awakening and Transformation

“Grief is the price we pay for love” read the inscription on the memorial. It struck a chord of sadness within me as I remembered all I have loved and lost in my life. Some of these losses were more painful than others but each pushed me into a cycle of grief beginning with denial, followed by anger, bargaining, depression and finally acceptance. These stages, highlighted by Elizabeth Kübler-Ross in her book “On Death and Dying”, are common to all of us although some of us never reach the final stage of acceptance because the rush of feeling that follows is too much to bear. Instead we live in denial, anger takes up residence within us, we try and hold on to what we know in our hearts we have lost and then fall into a depression to protect us from the pain. This process isn’t linear and we may cycle through it for years when dealing with the death of a loved one or loss of a relationship. Other losses may involve a less arduous cycle yet we still go through the same process when something is taken from us and we feel out of control.

Denial vs Acceptance

Even the perception of loss can begin this process. If we don’t want to face the possibility of losing our job or relationship we may start living in denial as a way to prevent the inevitable. This can often be confused with acceptance as both can make us feel better, but when we are in denial we hold on to the past and when we are in acceptance we move on. We can see this when we go through different life stages and grieve for our lost youth, freedom or health. During a mid-life crisis we try to relive our earlier years instead of embracing the next phase of our lives because age and experience are not revered by our society. Yet each time we go through a change and grieve for a loss we fill the well of wisdom within us that we draw upon to help us grow.

Bargain Basement

Unfortunately, growth isn’t easy and many of us prefer to stay in the bargaining stage, making deals with ourselves or giving away our integrity. How many of us have stayed in a job we hate until we get our pay rise or put up with unhealthy dynamics in our relationship because we want to believe one day things will change? There is safety in the familiar, even if it is painful, but It is our ego that prefers the comfort of the known as fear, self-protection and control are its driving forces. Yet our souls need new experiences and long to be free, so we can’t bargain with our spirit for too long. If we try we are likely to become depressed because we refuse to make the changes needed to evolve, which is our purpose in life. However, we often hinder our progress by making changes on a superficial level. A new car may distract us from feeling old but until we accept the loss of our youth we will be inherently unhappy.

Rethinking Depression

Depression experienced during a grieving cycle is a natural part of the process, it slows us down so we can heal our wounds and replenish ourselves. Medicating this type of depression is commonplace yet it helps us suppress, rather than deal with, the depression that comes with loss. Depression can also be a sign that we need to make a change and if we allow ourselves to heed its call we can think of it as a catalyst rather than something to be avoided. If grief is allowed to follow its natural flow it is cleansing, healing and liberating. When we reach acceptance and are willing to let go we often feel a rush of freedom and excitement at what is possible, as we are no longer carrying around the burden of the past.

Global Grief

The grieving process is intrinsically linked with change and if we broaden our perspective we can see that humanity as a whole is going through a global cycle of grief to accompany the crumbling of our comfortable old worldview. We move through the different stages as more of the imbalance and injustice in our society is revealed, each layer catalysing another wave of people into awakening. As we grieve the loss of our innocence the whole world is thrown into turmoil as some fight against the inevitable change and some embrace it. We may stumble and lose our footing falling back into denial but we are moving forward as a collective, each one of us at our own pace. Remember, the life we want is always tapping us on the shoulder if only we would turn our heads.

They are doing that to themselves, no matter what they attempt or achieve they (the dark ones) will never succeed here on this planet. No tyranny has ever lasted upon this earth for to long. She has always had the last say on anything ever proclaimed or setup by those who dwell upon her. The collective evolutionary consciousness will either succeed or be held back again, but my bet is on learning (as Calz emits to) in balancing our human existence with this planet we live on. It is my understanding the more we succeed in doing this, the more the benevolent ones will (can) intercede in helping us.

Laurel Canyon in the 1960s and early 1970s was a magical place where a dizzying array of musical artists congregated to create much of the music that provided the soundtrack to those turbulent times. Members of bands like the Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, the Monkees, the Beach Boys, the Mamas and the Papas, the Turtles, the Eagles, the Flying Burrito Brothers, Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention, Steppenwolf, Captain Beefheart, CSN, Three Dog Night, Alice Cooper, the Doors, and Love with Arthur Lee, along with such singer/songwriters as Joni Mitchell, Judy Collins, James Taylor, Carole King, Jackson Browne, Judi Sill and David Blue, lived together and jammed together in the bucolic community nestled in the Hollywood Hills.

But there was a dark side to that scene as well.

Many didn't make it out alive, and many of those deaths remain shrouded in mystery to this day. Far more integrated into the scene than most would care to admit was a guy by the name of Charles Manson, along with his murderous entourage. Also floating about the periphery were various political operatives, up-and-coming politicians, and intelligence personnel - the same sort of people who just happened to give birth to many of the rock stars populating the canyon. And all of the canyon's colorful characters - rock stars, hippies, murderers, and politicos - happily coexisted alongside a covert military installation.

Weird Scenes Inside the Canyon is the very strange, but nevertheless true story of the dark underbelly of a hippie utopia.

We are not gonna be "saved" ... I think that is rather clear now.

I totally get your point, and in ways I agree with you.. I don't expect ETs to change everything. But indeed we have been saved by many things in the past if my contacts are true. ELE Event asteroids, been saved from those. Nukes going off frequently, etc. I don't see TPTB dislodged until global first contact.

I think there are triggers for global first contact which I will write a thread about soon. I think these triggers will be done before humanity ever claims sovereignty from the dark forces in humans that subjugate us etc.. Many respectably capable forces terrestrial and non can simulate with some accuracy how successful any resistance would be.

The US shadow government fears losing it's power more than anything. They have dedicated countless hours of their best minds, as well as AI, as well as made potential deals with negative ETs having to do with other rebellions on other worlds, info about that. It is something they obsess over. Their time is limited. They know it. But still they have studied every possible way things could change in order to draw out their power for as long as possible.

ETs told me they have the same info the US gov does basically about a rebellion. They envisioned it(if it happened organically) having to do with(one part anyway) music artists and various celebrities all going for a particular revolution. So much so that the medias blackout of it backfires on them... It would need leaders though. Half of their entire targeting system might be based on this. Anyone who is scouted from a young age to have the highest forms of potential is accounted for(unless perhaps their life is ordained by ETs or something)... They can tell very early if someone has a lot of potential... Earlier than the person they are tracking even realizes, or anyone else, since they can track thoughts.. Any artist that is remotely influential is mind controlled at least sometimes in ways to avoid saying certain things...

Among the famous is a group think and general status quo of not exposing the corruption in TPTB. It ruins careers. Just like the status quo of science, not to give UFOlogy credibility or expect no more funding. They have a stranglehold on practically every aspect of society, and it all works without any real leader who knows everything(although there are forms of such I think). It's all compartmentalized and each part of the conspiracy is independent in many ways of the other parts.

I think you give a good answer, but I'll ask this question now. How on earth do we dislodge them from power if there are no real main leaders of 'everything;' in the conspiracy?

How do we dislodge the ones who do the mind control? How do we even identify them?

Carol Clarke said I have 100% ET 'junk' DNA. I feel I have ET DNA as well independent of her conclusion. I am resistant to certain mind controls. But acute control of me, altering the mechanics of how I think and discernment etc, those things.. I think every single being that has a body(and even without a body) is open source to this kind of mind control. Thing is there are certain rules about it I have felt out from my targeting case. I am such a severe targeting case ETs have actually intervened on my behalf, which is mostly unheard of... One rule being one must, in a majority of their life, be able to align to things relating to their souls. Soul alignment. Now this may have certain exceptions in some people... Like the assets of the dark ETs perhaps(politicians, Rockefellers, Rothschilds, etc), but in general it seems the US shadow gov has to allow people a certain 'percentage' of thoughts that they would naturally get.

Also for resistance... When you are aware of mind control possibilities it is possible for one to be resistant to certain kinds. The way we are programmed has ways of showing resistances to mind control. But these are just resistances to various specific things within their options. There is always the option for acute mind control from what I have witnessed. They have made me do things I would have NEVER done with acute mind control...

As for ETs being resistant to mind control, they are taught the ways to be resistant to it. But they do have open source minds if what I was told is accurate(and it really does seem to given their reasoning they gave me). Every single thing there is has scientific mechanics. ET minds have scientific mechanics just like ours. There is no secret way to be immune to mind control when your mind follows natural law when it comes to the mechanics of consciousness...

David Livingstone was born in Montreal in 1966 of a Jamaican-Canadian father (a school teacher) and French Canadian mother. At age seven, he asked his parents who Plato and Socrates were. Livingstone studied history as an undergraduate but dropped out in 1992 when he realized he was being indoctrinated. In this episode, Teal offers some tips that can help those of us who are “triggered” by happiness to become comfortable with happiness again.

As living organisms, we are designed to move in the direction of pleasure and to move away from pain. Our entire nervous system is highly attuned to pain stimulus and pleasure stimulus. Most of us love to feel happy and we will do anything to avoid feeling unhappy, but what about the small percentage of people who can’t feel happy? It is easy to think that happiness is always a good thing. But the truth is, the subconscious mind does not always agree.

In this episode, Teal explains that when we cannot feel happy no matter how hard we try and we feel as if happiness is false and only negative emotions are real, what is really happening is that we have learned to FEAR happiness. We think that Happiness is dangerous; most often because we have been blindsided by emotional, mental or physical pain when we were enjoying ourselves. And perhaps even more than that, we have repeatedly been blindsided by emotional, mental or physical pain when we were enjoying ourselves. Basically, what is happening for many people who cannot be happy is that the very feeling of joy and happiness itself becomes the trigger for a posttraumatic stress response. Why is this a problem? It is a problem because you are now fighting with your own survival instinct to be happy. The wires in your own mind have become crossed to such a degree that your own being is trying to keep you feeling good by keeping you from feeling good.

"One of the pioneers of cryonics, Bob Nelson, discussed the science behind the theory that people can be frozen immediately after death and brought back to life at some later date. It is possible to suspend life and resuscitate it, he said, citing the Siberian salamander which can remain frozen in a block of ice for several years, and upon thawing, walk off as if nothing happened. Nelson briefly described the ideal process for freezing a person. As soon as the heart stops the body is covered with ice to lower metabolism, blood is removed and replaced with biological antifreeze to keep cell damage to a minimum, and then the temperature of the body is lowered to 320 degrees below zero, he explained.

Freezing essentially stops time, Nelson continued. He talked about his work in 1967 putting the first man, a retired psychology professor at Glendale College in California, into cryonic suspension. Nelson admitted that it was unlikely this patient could ever be resuscitated given the state of freezing techniques at that time. "I think the science and technology of cryonics is very sound now," he said, noting that the odds of reanimating the 300 people currently in suspension at the Cryonic Institute is much greater today. The cost of cryonic suspension is around $28,000, he estimated, pointing out that it only costs the company $100/year to maintain a frozen body.

Nelson shared the story of Marie Sweet, a champion of cryonics and the first woman to be cryonically suspended. Although Sweet's body was discovered nearly 48 hours after she had passed the decision was made to put her into suspension, he reported. Nelson spoke about freezing a 7-year-old Canadian girl with a rare deadly tumor for which there was no cure. Today this disease is completely treatable, so when the technology is developed to resuscitate frozen patients this girl can be cured, he suggested. He was joined in the second hour by his co-authors on Freezing People Is (Not) Easy, Kenneth Bly and Sally Magana. Bly commented on the errors Nelson made trying to keep people frozen and the lawsuit that resulted when some patients were inadvertently thawed."

The final hour of the show was devoted to Open Lines.

Dr. John Richard Ward is an archaeologist and anthropologist residing in Luxor, Egypt. Over the years, Dr. Ward has conducted numerous investigations of ancient Egyptian architecture and symbolism while also carrying out research into the many mysteries surrounding medieval Templarism. In 2006, Ward was recruited by the Knights Templar of Britannia, which is a modern order affiliated with and acknowledged by the Vatican. With the help of his partner, Dr. Maria Nilsson, Ward has managed to track the use of particular symbols through the various dynasties and geography of ancient Egypt leading all the way to the present.

A Mighty Girl
17-year-old Mighty Girl Cynthia Lam of Melbourne, Australia wants to help people living without access to clean water and electricity -- and this ingenious young inventor has developed a device that can purify water and generate electricity using only the power of the sun! Cynthia is now bringing her potentially life-changing invention, which she calls H2Pro, to a global stage as one of the 2014 Google Science Fair’s 15 global finalists.

Cynthia's H2Pro device is made up of two parts -- an upper unit for photocatalytic water-purification and hydrogen-generation and a bottom unit where additional water filtration takes place. Dirty water enters the top of the device and it passes through a titanium mesh which, when activated by the sun, sterilizes the water. This photocatalytic reaction also splits the water into oxygen and hydrogen -- the latter of which is used by a hydrogen fuel cell to generate power. Impurities in the water such as detergents also provide more hydrogen; thus, allowing the device to generate more power.

In her testing, Cynthia found that H2prO could decompose 90% of organic pollutants in the water in the space of two hours. While the theory shows that the reaction should produce enough hydrogen to generate electricity, in practice, H2prO’s energy generation is still erratic. As she wrote in her Google Science Fair brief, "the removal of organic pollutant was examined to be excellent"; however, she was unsatisfied with its energy generation and plans to "keep searching for economical approach to 'practicalize' the electricity-generation unit."

Ultimately, Cynthia told CoExist, "I think people around the world don't really understand how serious water pollution and the energy crisis is. I'd really like to finalize the design, because it could potentially help people in developing countries. It would be great to have clean water and electricity supplied sustainably, without needing any outside help. It would be awesome."

I've seen a lot of complaining around here about Hillary Clinton - is she inevitable, can she be pushed to the left, ect. I think that many of these concerns are well founded - Hillary Clinton is a centrist, she confirmed as much in her most recent interview. What I haven't heard is what alternative we have to Hillary.

Well, here he is! For those of you who don't know him, Bernie once filibustered tax cuts for the rich for 8 and a half hours. And unlike Ted Cruz, whose speech quickly devolved into non-sequiturs and Green Eggs and Ham during his filibuster, Bernie's speech was so eloquent he turned it into a book.

Now, can Bernie Sanders beat Hillary Clinton in the primary? In all honesty, probably not. However, he can accomplish many important things with his run.

1. Bring truly left wing ideas into the traditional media's consciousness. Just imagine if the media had to give a platform to a self-identified socialist. Just imagine what he could inspire in the next generation of future Democratic Party activists if he was perceived as a potential party leader.

2. Help build the party - even if he doesn't defeat Hillary, if he looks like he'll have a strong showing, it will force both camps to engage the electorate. In 2008, the long primary helped build the party's strength, as each state received state of the art voter registration and outreach.

3. He could become President. It's possible (though unlikely) that Hillary won't run. There is no consensus choice for second place. Bernie could be our guy - he could run and win, if the field becomes "Clintonless."

Long before there were found-footage tornado movies, and found-footage epic party movies, and found-footage super powers movies (stop us here whenever you like), there was one found-footage movie to rule them all: 1999’s The Blair Witch Project, a film who’s massive, viral success was spurned by this nascent little technology known as the Internet. Now Eduardo Sánchez, one of that film’s co-directors and writers, has returned to the genre he helped create with Exists. With his latest, Sanchez hopes to use the found-footage concept to revive one of the more historically unforgiving genres Hollywood has to offer: the Bigfoot movie.

In following a group of nubile Sasquatch hunters into an increasing isolated woods, Sánchez has advantages this time out that he was missing a decade and a half ago. For starters, people couldn’t make movies with their phones back then, and were much less dependent on technology (anyone who’s taken a wrong turn in a rental car while on vacation can share the terror of the one character who announces, “We are officially out of GPS territory”). But in going after Bigfoot, Sánchez is wading into a genre with few certified hits outside of the 1987 family comedy Harry and the Hendersons. (Want to hear something really scary? They spun that movie off into a sitcom in the early 90’s.)

Sanchez, though, is undaunted. “I think we made the Bigfoot movie I have been waiting for since I was 12-years-old,” he told Coming Soon two years ago. Trust us, Eduardo: Hollywood has been waiting a lot longer than that.

The Chemistry of Blame

"There is a great fundamental issue that overrides many of the things we can do to heal ourselves and the world: the human tendency to step into feeling like a victim and blaming others, instead of taking personal responsibility. It's not just a habit; it's an addiction, just like a chemical addiction. When you step into the victim position by pointing the finger of blame, you short the circuitry in yourself that allows you to feel the natural organic ecstasy of fully standing in a co-creative position with the universe itself. That's the fundamental developmental task we face at this stage of our evolution: opening up the wiring that allows us to feel organic ecstasy for longer and longer periods of time.

At present, most people can't sustain the feelings that arise with this opening, so they slip into a dangerous addiction to blame with its corresponding feeling of a gleeful gotcha! Once we're accustomed to a certain internal chemical state, we feel comfortable with that state even if it's attached to really dysfunctional behavior like that glee that arises from apportioning blame. When we try new behavior and our neurochemistry changes, it feels uncomfortable at first. Moving to a new emotional and biochemical state may feel foreign. Even though it may be a healthier one, it is unfamiliar.

Usually in couples therapy, the first issue to be addressed is: Are you willing to make a commitment to solving the problem? One of the most typical responses is, "Well, I'd be committed if she were." It takes about an hour and a half of discussion to work through that objection, until at some point in the process, both people bond and turn on the leader. I tell my students that those are the only moments during which you're earning your keep as a therapist. Both members of the couple turn to you and say, "Hey, what the hell are you suggesting here? Are you suggesting that it's not his fault?" That's always a sweaty moment, but it's the instant when transformation can come. Once you're through that issue, the possibility of getting out of the field of blame and actually taking responsibility opens up.

"Are you willing to stay completely away from blaming anyone, and instead make a sincere commitment to resolving all the issues we confront?" I've asked that question of thousands of people, many of whom had traveled great distances to visit to me, or were paying me very large sums of money. Even with stakes that high, ninety-nine times out of a hundred, the person goes into the default position of blame immediately. Weaning people from that automatic behavior takes a great deal of patience and repetition, and a nimble set of therapeutic interventions. The tendency to default to blame is the huge issue confronting couples and societies today. Wherever you see it appear, that's the area where healing is needed. There's only one solution, and that's to take 100% impeccable responsibility – and create a space for the other person to take 100% impeccable responsibility as well. Responsibility has a contagious effect.

The initial level of responsibility is going from blame to being willing to consider what you're getting out of – or contributing to – the problem. Senior level responsibility is being so impeccably clear that you become a space into which it's possible for other people to step. You then have to confront a person's despair that the problem is not solvable, which is always accompanied by about fifteen levels of justification. But when both people have made a commitment to resolving the issue, 90% of the work is done. Both people have then stepped into a co-creative role with not only the other, but with the Universe itself.

A particular couple comes to mind. They came to work with my wife and me on their relationship. Both partners were Ph.D.s who had written brilliant scholarly papers, but when either of them encountered anything they perceived as a threat, their academic, intellectual understanding flew out the window, and they immediately became convinced that they knew that the other person was wrong. The first thing that we did was to repeatedly ask them if they would be willing to take responsibility for healing, and to make a commitment to solving the issues. When confronted with the question, they would spin out and become more entrenched in the position that it was the other person's fault. They had endless justifications for this certainty, and thus continually dosed themselves with this highly addictive drug.

It took all of the first day and well into the night to produce a shift, but in the middle of the night, the husband couldn't sleep. His anxiety got worse and worse. In a state of desperation, he said, "Okay, I'm willing to commit to solving this problem." That created a space for the wife to commit to the same thing. The next morning, they came in willing to solve the problem. In a nutshell, the problem was that she had had a sexual affair and he couldn't forgive her. They'd gone 'round and 'round with it for the better part of a year. On the second day of therapy, the reason he couldn't get over it became really clear. One of the questions that I commonly ask people is, "Has anything like this ever happened to you or anyone you know?" At first the husband said, "No," but then, as we got deeper into the question, it turned out not only was the real answer, "Yes," but his entire early life had been shaped by his mother running off with another man and leaving his dad with four little boys to raise.

It was inevitable that his wife's infidelity, or something like it, was bound to happen to him, because he had it so thoroughly sealed off this early experience. When we seal something off from our consciousness inside, it has to be brought to our attention in some way by the outside world. Suddenly, he realized that his wife was illuminating this old experience, and he said to her, "Oh, you played this role in my life for me." At the end of the second day they were in each other's arms. She said, "This was inevitable. I had to play this role for you." And he responded, "Yes, this was my bad dream you wandered into." He asked her, "Can you forgive me, for getting you involved in this nutty scheme of my unconscious?" That couple represented one of the best examples I've ever seen of what's possible when both people take responsibility.

There are a lot of programmed-in and even biologically-based characteristics that make human males and females different. I'm interested in what's underneath that. The deeper you go inside, the more human beings look alike. The further you go toward the surface, the more different we look. The fear a woman feels when she's upset about the guy not picking up his socks corresponds to the fear the man feels when he's upset that she's on his case. The superficial differences point to some underlying unity. To deal with these situations, we voice our fears, then look underneath them. As a therapist, I point out repeatedly, "Okay, having said that your husband is a worthless piece of ****, tune inside. Do you feel happier?" The person begins to recognize that although they feel that "glee-gotcha" feeling that comes from assigning blame, they don't feel happier.

So I help people make choices about whether something can make them feel happy, rather than just gleeful, by inviting them to make tiny choices that are actually huge choices. I say, "Do you choose being right or being happy?" I've had people come back months later and say, "I hated you for asking me that question – but it changed my life." And here's the great advantage of asking this question: we each only have to make the choice once. That choice changes the whole playing field. Afterwards, it's simply a matter of practice. It's similar to getting on a bicycle for the first time. You travel ten feet, then wobble and fall over. You get back on and you master going twenty feet. The first time was the moment in which everything changed.

It's the same with mastering personal responsibility. Once a person shifts out of glee and experiences the real joy of claiming responsibility, everything is changed. They're launched into the process of learning. How do they remember that they're in that process and trigger that experience on a regular basis in everyday life? By discovering how great they feel when they do it, and how miserable they feel when they don't. Twenty-five years ago Kathlyn and I knew we wanted to create something different with our marriage. We looked around to find other couples to model our behavior on, but we found nobody whose relationship we would have traded for our own. We had to make up our path ourselves.

It took a long time, but now it's been the better part of a decade since my wife or I have said one critical thing to each other. It's years since I've experienced blame, since I've had that chemistry in my body. I am past the point where I ever want that drug, because I feel good, and I don't want to bring myself down. We are living in that clear space of impeccable responsibility that offers the possibility for other people to step into it. We choose to be happy. It's easy now."

Biography

John F. McManus joined the staff of The John Birch Society in August 1966, serving originally as a field coordinator for several New England states. In 1968, he was transferred to a position at the Society’s national headquarters.

In 1973, Mr. McManus accepted appointment by Robert Welch, the Society’s Founder, as the organization’s Director of Public Affairs. In this post, he became and remains the Society’s chief media representative throughout the nation. He has appeared on hundreds of radio and television programs. He is one of the Society’s few authorized spokesmen.

Mr. McManus has written and produced numerous audiovisual programs, including the popular DVD Overview of America, which is a moving tribute about America’s Constitutional roots. He has also written several books including "Financial Terrorism" (1993), "Changing Commands: The Betrayal of America’s Military" (1995), "William F. Buckley, Jr.: Pied Piper for the Establishment" (2002), and The Insiders 5th Edition (2004). He is in wide demand as a speaker.

In addition to being a regular contributor of articles to The New American, he serves as its publisher. He is also publisher of the Society’s member-only monthly Bulletin. Mr. McManus was named president of The John Birch Society in 1991.

Born in 1935 in Brooklyn, New York, he is a graduate of Holy Cross College in Massachusetts. He served on active duty as a lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps for three years. For six years before accepting a staff position with the Society, he was employed as an electronics engineer.

The father of four and grandparent of several, Mr. McManus has been married to the former Mary Helen O’Reilly of Boston since 1957.

"Wytheville – On August 9th, 2014, at around 4 PM, my mother, my daughter and I were traveling on 77 North (about 30 miles south of Wytheville. Traffic was moving very slow and was continuously “jamming” up to a slow crawl. I was the passenger, my mother was driving and my 10 year old daughter was in the back seat. I took the opportunity to photograph views of the countryside, being that we are from Michigan and randomly photographed it. I decided to flip through my photos I had taken, when I came across this one. I must say I was pretty surprised as I did not see this object. I know it was not the rearview mirror. There was no sun out, and it was raining and foggy, so I discounted any type of sun reflection. Thanks to MUFON CMS"

False Prophets


A false prophet is one who falsely claims the gift of prophecy or divine inspiration or who uses that gift for evil ends. Here in we run into our first problem, often someone who is considered a "true prophet " by some people is simultaneously considered a "false prophet" by others. I am no exception to this rule. In fact there are people who think that my stance on this particular subject is just more proof that I, myself am a false prophet. So what exactly is my stance on false prophets? There is no such thing as a false prophet.
