In September 2014 it was reported that a notch carved in 2009 on the English stone had been filled by a brick inscribed "20" and “14".

By September 25th, 2014 an official from Elberton removed the cube. After he had thrown it on the ground it revealed four additional markings. They were "8", "16", "MM" and "JAM". The whole sequence reads "8", "16", "20" and "14" with "MM" on the top and "JAM" on the bottom. The cube was then destroyed on site and pieces were handed out to the bystanders.

Years earlier the stone had been reported stolen.

Today, perhaps the ultimate unsolved mystery of human life is: how and why does consciousness exist? Although some scientific literature still acknowledges that the question remains open, the overwhelming consensus among neuroscientists today is that the brain alone creates conscious experience. However, for decades, acclaimed scientists around the world have conducted research into consciousness that provides a very different picture. One of the most remarkable of these researchers is Dr. Gary Schwartz, professor of psychology, medicine, neurology, psychiatry and surgery at the University of Arizona and director of its Laboratory for Advances in Consciousness and Health. We asked Dr. Gary Schwartz for his thoughts on the mystery of consciousness."


Gary E. Schwartz, Ph.D., is Professor of Psychology, Medicine, Neurology, Psychiatry, and Surgery at the University of Arizona, at the main campus in Tucson. In addition to teaching courses on health and spiritual psychology, he is the Director of the Laboratory for Advances in Consciousness and Health.

Gary received his Ph.D. in psychology from Harvard University in 1971 and was an assistant professor at Harvard for five years. He later served as a professor of psychology and psychiatry at Yale University, was director of the Yale Psychophysiology Center, and co-director of the Yale Behavioral Medicine Clinic, before moving to Arizona in 1988.

Witches have a long and elaborate history. Their forerunners appear in the Bible, in the story of King Saul consulting the so-called Witch of Endor. They also crop up in the classical era in the form of winged harpies and screech-owl-like “strixes” – frightening flying creatures that fed on the flesh of babies.

Circe, the enchantress from Greek mythology, was a sort of witch, able to transform her enemies into swine. So was her niece Medea. The ancient world, then, was responsible for establishing a number of tropes that later centuries would come to associate with witches.

Yet it wasn’t until the early Renaissance that our modern perception of the witch was truly formed. And one man of the period arguably did more than any other to define the way that we still imagine witches today: the German painter and printmaker Albrecht Dürer.

Double trouble

In a pair of hugely influential engravings, Dürer determined what would become the dual stereotype of a witch’s appearance. On the one hand, as in The Four Witches (1497), she could be young, nubile and lissom – her physical charms capable of enthralling men. On the other, as in Witch Riding Backwards on a Goat (c 1500), she could be old and hideous.

The latter print presents a naked crone sitting on top of a horned goat, a symbol of the devil. She has withered, drooping dugs for breasts, her mouth is open as she shrieks spells and imprecations, and her wild, wind-blasted hair streams unnaturally in the direction of her travel (a sign of her magical powers). She is even clutching a broomstick. Here is the matriarch of the witches that we find in popular culture today.

For art historians, though, the interesting question is what provided Renaissance artists with the model for this appalling vision. One theory is that Dürer and his contemporaries were inspired by the personification of Envy as conceived by the Italian artist Andrea Mantegna (c 1431-1506) in his engraving Battle of the Sea Gods.


“Mantegna’s figure of Envy formed a kind of call for the Renaissance of the witch as a hideous old hag,” explains the artist and writer Deanna Petherbridge, who has co-curated the exhibition at the British Museum. “Envy was emaciated, her breasts were no longer good, which is why she was jealous of women, and she attacked babies and ate them. She often had snakes for hair.”

A good example of this Envy-type of witch can be seen in an extraordinarily intense Italian print known as Lo Stregozzo (The Witch’s Procession) (c 1520). Here, a malevolent witch with open mouth, hair in turmoil and desiccated dugs clutches a steaming pot (or cauldron), and rides a fantastical, monstrous skeleton. Her right hand reaches for the head of a baby from the heap of infants at her feet.

This print was produced during the ‘golden age’ of witchcraft imagery: the tumultuous 16th and 17th centuries, when vicious witch trials convulsed Europe (the peak of the witch-hunts lasted from 1550 to 1630). “Across Europe, there was the Reformation and Counter-Reformation, the Thirty Years’ War, fantastic poverty and social change,” says Petherbridge. “Even King James in his text Daemonologie [1597] was asking: why was there such a proliferation of witches? Everybody assumed it was because the world had got so foul that it was coming to an end.”

As a result there was an outpouring of brutally misogynistic witchcraft imagery, with artists taking advantage of the invention of the printing press to disseminate material rapidly and widely. “Witchcraft is closely allied to the print revolution,” Petherbridge explains. Many of these prints, such as the powerful colour woodcut Witches’ Sabbath (1510) by Dürer’s pupil Hans Baldung Grien, can be seen in the British Museum’s exhibition.

By the 18th Century, though, witches were no longer considered a threat. Instead they were understood as the superstitious imaginings of peasants. Still, that didn’t stop great artists such as Goya from depicting them.

Los Caprichos, Goya’s collection of 80 capricious (or whimsical) etchings from 1799, uses witches as well as goblins, demons and monsters as vehicles for satire. “Goya uses witchcraft metaphorically to point out the evils of society,” says Petherbridge. “His prints are actually about social things: greed, war, the corruption of the clergy.”

Goya did not believe in the literal reality of witches, but his prints are still among the most potent images of witchcraft ever made. Plate 68 of Los Caprichos is especially memorable: a wizened hag teaches an attractive younger witch how to fly a broomstick. Both are naked, and the print was surely meant to be salacious: the Spanish ‘volar’ (to fly) is slang for having an orgasm.

Around the same time, there was a vogue among artists working in England for depicting theatrical scenes of witchcraft. The Swiss-born artist Henry Fuseli, for instance, made several versions of the famous moment when Macbeth meets the three witches for the first time on the heath.

By now, though, the art of witchcraft was in decline. It lacked the strange imaginative force that had animated the genre in earlier centuries. In the 19th Century, the Pre-Raphaelites and the Symbolists were both drawn to the figure of the witch, whom they recast as a femme fatale. But their sinister seductresses arguably belong more to the realm of sexual fantasy than high art.

The one constant throughout the history of the art of witchcraft is misogyny. As a woman, how does this make Petherbridge feel? “At the beginning when I was looking at these images, I was quite distressed because they are so ageist,” she says. “Of course, now I’ve stopped being shocked by them, and I think that they are saved by their excess, satire and invention. Artists were often drawn to these scenes because they offered drama. They were free to spread their wings and come up with all kinds of bizarre imagery. Yes, these scenes represent the demonisation of women. But often they are keenly linked to social critique. Witches are the scapegoats on which the evil of society is projected.”

"Journalist Eric Olsen (2nd & 4th hour) and paranormal investigator Theresa Argie (3rd & 4th hour) shared stories from their delving into hauntings and the paranormal, and the terror surrounding some of the nation's most haunted sites. Olsen described how he had intense paranormal experiences early in life, and then sought to "turn them off" for decades, while Argie, nicknamed the "Haunted Housewife," has devoted herself to studying the paranormal, investigations, and ghosthunting for many years. Among the tools she and her investigative partner Cathi Weber use are digital recorders, cameras that record the infrared spectrum, dowsing rods, crystals, and even a Ouija board on occasion.

One of the most haunted places Argie visited was the Mansfield Prison (Ohio State Reformatory), where she ran into some nasty spirits. "I actually had my hair pulled...I've been pushed at Mansfield Prison, I've been scratched, and we know people that have been physically touched there as well," she said, adding that someone was punched in the stomach, so hard that they doubled over. "You have to be very careful because I think sometimes the spirits can be very, very frustrated and angry," she continued.

Her partner Cathi had scratch marks appear on her back with blood dripping from them during their investigation at the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum, she recounted. One of Argie's scariest experiences was when a spirit attached itself to her after a paranormal investigation at a private home. "I had this thing with me for weeks, if not months. And it affected every aspect of my life," she revealed. Olsen and Argie also talked about such haunted hotspots as the Lemp Mansion, the Villisca Axe Murder House in Iowa, Waverly Hills Sanatorium, and the Queen Mary."

"First hour guest, talk radio host specializing in the paranormal, Jimmy Church, discussed his work researching and breaking the story about the Malibu deep underwater "base" or platform (graphic) earlier this year. Discovered through sonar mapping and topology studies, the top of the structure is 150 feet down, which suggests that it was above the water 10,000 years ago, he reported. Church believes the mysterious platform may have been a celebrated covered entrance to an inland river 10,000 to 50,000 years ago."

One of the greatest mysteries for archaeologists and other scientific researchers today represents the phenomenon of stone spheres. First stone spheres were found in the early 1930's in the delta of river Diquis in Costa Rica. Since then were found hundreds of stone spheres of many different sizes in different locations of the world. Many of them are built from the mineral called granodiorite that is very firm. Bosnian stone spheres phenomenon was actualized in 2004 when Mr. Semir Osmanagic and his team of independent researchers and historians found few stone spheres in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

First Bosnian stone spheres were found near Banja Luka. There has been found either the biggest stone sphere in Bosnia and Herzegovina whose construction was probably interrupted in one of its phases, so that the stone sphere seems not finished, which means that rough and by its outfit it is distinguished from unwritten rule that says that all stone spheres were glazed at the end of their construction.

Going further more locations with stone spheres have been discovered. In the place of Teocak were found 8 stone spheres that were built from granite, while in the settlement Ponikve near the town Vares was discovered an irregular shaped stone sphere that was probably formed by magmatic rocks.

That's synchronistic as I have been looking at the stone spheres there and elsewhere. The whole area is full of mystery.

It occurred to me that some people who doubt the pyramid shaped mountains in Bosnia are man shaped (and maybe its geoforming: taking a natural feature and shaping it further??). There were stories I heard early on that under the surface layres at a certain depth, people have found the mountains to have a hard layer. I don't think its realistic to discount when all the other archeological evidence of "pyramid" type builders and fascinating artifacts are found in the area. Like in central America, the Bosnian stone are a signature IMO.....

"In the first half, investigative researcher Bob Fletcher shared his exposé of the return of Nibiru (Planet X), which he tied in with the disappearance of federal funds, the building of subterranean facilities, space program changes, and a whole list of other events. "What would cause the corrupted secret government to drop...billions of dollars into over a hundred underground facilities? And then of course we found out that they were being completely filled and supplied with survival foods," and even the old location of NORAD was converted into an underground survival facility, he said.

Fletcher claimed that President Reagan was informed of the existence of a Planet X during the 1983-1985 time period, and his development of the 'Star Wars' defense system may have been an attempt to deal with its approach. Nibiru is still too far out to be seen, Fletcher continued, but it may be what the Mayans were warning about with their 2012 calendar end date. We will first see the planet in the sky as a new star, and it will progressively get bigger and bigger; the time frame will be in the month of December-- either this year, or in the next two or three years, he detailed. When Planet X is imminent, the government will utilize a "giant synthetic terrorist event" or an epidemic out of control to declare martial law, he added.

In the latter half, former investment banker and bestselling author Linda Davies discussed her life as an English expat living in Dubai for almost a decade. She shared her observations about the Middle East and the role of militant Islam, as well detailed how she and her husband were kidnapped on the high seas and held hostage. While sailing in the Persian Gulf, they were spotted by an Iranian naval patrol and apprehended and interrogated for a two-week period. They were able to establish a level of common humanity with their captors, and eventually convinced them that they weren't spies, she recounted.

Davies contrasted the wealth of Dubai and the Emirates (which doesn't have oil) with Iran, which has much oil, but looks like a third world country in many places. This is because a lot of the wealth in Iran is being funneled into the country's military programs, as well as to fund Hamas, Hezbollah, and overseas terrorism, she suggested. Dubai actually felt safer than her Notting Hill neighborhood in London, as the city has a zero tolerance for crime. Davies also spoke about her novel Ark Storm, which is based on a real life weather modification technology in which ionizing particles are sent into the atmosphere via drones. Her book posits that such technology becomes weaponized to unleash massive storms."

Curses, Mercury Retrograde & Ouija

"George Noory welcomed radio host and psychic, Dr. Linda Salvin, for a discussion on curses, the current Mercury retrograde cycle, and Ouija board experiences. Salvin said jealousy and competition motivate some people to place curses on others, adding that curses likely play a part in our political system as well as in business. Curses can be particularly strong, she said, pointing to a period in her life when she was under a curse that did not lift until the person who had placed it passed away.

Salvin revealed how generational curses effect the energy of a family lineage, such as the Kennedy clan, who experienced an extraordinary level of tragedy. She reflected on her family's own curse, which she blamed for the suicide deaths of her grandfather, great uncle, and uncle, all on her mother's side. "There must have been something else going on [besides depression] that this full circle of people couldn't survive," she speculated.

Salvin commented on the ongoing Mercury retrograde (Oct 4-26), which happens three to four times per year when the planet appears to stop and move backward in the sky. Since Mercury represents communication the retrograde can cause disruptions with computers, phone calls, physical mail delivery, satellites, and travel plans, she explained. Relationships that are not meant to be often fall apart during this period, she added.

Salvin spoke about her fondness for the Ouija board, which she said she uses to channel the spirit of a deceased rock star. According to Salvin, 90 percent of the predictions received through the board come true. She cautioned listeners about potential dangers of Ouija use, noting she has developed a technique to clean the board and protect herself from harm. Using the board drains potassium and other elements from the body and causes back aches, she revealed. Salvin also shared the story surviving a Boeing 737 crash and how it awakened her psychic abilities."

The Federal deputization of local
law enforcement and first responders
isn't a new phenomenon in the US
but that it is being ramped-up, on
an unforeseen scale is.

Maybe the defense contractors are
mad that the Iraq War is over and
they want to keep selling their
materiel. In many cases, small towns
are being given tanks, left over from
the wars for free.

The agency tasked with organizing
this effort is the multiply-orphanized
National Intelligence Agency, which
has been in existence since 1947.
Under the Intelligence Reorganization
Act of 1992, the NIA lost most of its
autonomy to the CIA. Before this time,
it operated independently and was
more closely associated with the
National Security Agency.

However, during the mayhem
wreaked upon the American security
establishment during the Bush II era,
the NIA became an agency tasked, in
earnest, to train, militarize and to
oversee the official accreditation of
local first responders, whereby now
entire police departments, in towns
small and big across this land, including
firefighters, park rangers, medics and
nurses are now Federally Deputized.

People you wouldn't necessarily expect
are being Federally Deputized, to
participate in intelligence gathering,
security patrol (armed or un-armed,
depending on their training and legal
status); or as medical personnel to
assist and aid the US Military,
American Red Cross, Secret Service,
Federal, State and Local SWAT, ESU,
SMU, SRT or other Specialized
Enforcement or Counter-terrorism Unit
as Hostage Negotiators, Profilers or
other Emergency Psychiatric or
Psychological Roles, as needed, in
emergencies big and small.

It's like WWII all over again.

I've lived in towns small enough, where
they proudly publish the names of which
traffic cops passed the test, each week.

This is interesting. It's from an email re an appeal from the Architects and Engineers for 911 Truth for funds (I've deleted that, per Avalon rules), but the interesting part is what the funds are for.


NISA releases Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests very reluctantly — and only when it's sued.

That is AE911Truth researcher David Cole's conclusion after making numerous attempts since 9/11 to extract information from the National Institute of Standards and Technology. This secretive federal agency perpetually ignores Cole's requests, though what he seeks — and NIST suppresses — should be available to the public. Here’s where you come in!

As a result of NIST's inaction on Cole's latest inquiry, AE911Truth needs to hire an attorney to file a lawsuit. This proposed action stems from AE911Truth's conviction that the 9/11 research community must have access to the same unfiltered evidence that government officials had when creating their reports on the destruction of the three World Trade Center buildings. In a constitutional Republic, it is the duty of citizens to monitor their public servants, including, as Cole puts it, "checking their math."

A brief background on our upcoming lawsuit: In 2011, Cole asked the Federal Emergency Management Agency for the records of its investigation on the World Trade Center. At first, FEMA denied having any records, then it claimed to have turned over everything to another federal agency — namely, NIST. FEMA referred Cole's FOIA request to NIST, and NIST eventually released a tiny portion of the records. But that arrangement between the two agencies wasn't legal under the FOIA statute, which mandates that agencies maintain control over their own recordsThus, the lawsuit by AE911Truth will ask the court to order both NIST and FEMA to release all of the WTC records gathered by FEMA during its 2001-2002 WTC investigation — text and images that go above and beyond the selective records FEMA chose to put in its May 2002 report. The complete record includes all evidence gathered by the various contractors that FEMA employed as part of its investigation. Cole estimates that the total exceeds 490,000 documents, videos, photographs, and any other format that FEMA or its contractors used.

I have involved myself in this strange field since 1961 and I have nothing to show for it but I will not say it was a waste of time. Actually the government is not telling the truth, there already is a technology available that can kill Ebola in just two minutes in hospitals, quarantine centers, commercial offices and even public schools. Once the Ebola virus is in the body then it is correct to say that there is no cure but there are plenty of indirect therapies that support immune function and other physiological processes that help patients survive viral storms. A great cry is going up around the world as fear spreads because governments are allowing, even seemingly wanting, Ebola to spread into a world catastrophe.

For the little money they cost one could try to emulate what this Xenex does using electrical currents to clear the body of viruses[1] though that is blasphemy to the medical establishment even though the FDA does endorse electromagnetic fields for the treatment of cancer. "First hour guest, space historian Robert Zimmerman talked about the Air Force's unmanned clandestine 'X-37B' space planes, one of which is returning to Earth after being in orbit for around 22 months. Zimmerman also spoke about the latest private space ventures, as well as the Rosetta mission's current study of a comet."

"In the middle two hours, Jim Lansdale and Bobby Hamilton of the the Gulf Coast Bigfoot Research Organization (GCBRO) discussed their work researching and hunting Bigfoot. They opined that the creature is a real flesh and blood animal, which may have the intelligence of a human child. Lansdale said he's found structures in the woods-- 6 or 7 ft. tall teepees built from tree branches and limbs that he suspects were made by Bigfoot. Hamilton described his first sighting of Bigfoot which occurred in an East Texas farmhouse in 1969 when he heard a scratching on a window screen. "And when I looked up, this devilish, apish-looking face was looking at me, and was motioning at me with his hand, and showing his teeth." He later learned that his brothers had similar encounters."

"The GCBRO hopes to kill what they call a "nuisance Bigfoot"-- a creature known for eating and attacking farm animals and pets, as a way to show the world that Bigfoot does indeed exist. Their efforts will be followed in the new TV series Killing Bigfoot (trailer). Such "nuisance" Bigfoot are an ongoing problem in wooded and swampy areas in Texas and Louisiana, they reported. While the ideal situation would be for them to find a Bigfoot that was already dead, Lansdale said it's not practical to try and tranquilize one of the creatures, because after it was shot, it could run miles away before the drug immobilized it. He estimated that the Bigfoot population in North America is around 30,000."
