"2016 will rigorously test people’s readiness to embody their truth. Can we live the wisdom and transformation we’ve been cultivating over years of study, journeying, and contemplation? Can we summon the strength to have our outside accurately reflect our inside? Are we ready to run our own world yet?

In many schools of mystical study, polarity is a key principle. The student is taught that everything in life is dual. All phenomena have pairs of opposites, as observed in the primal forces of birth and death, day and night, order and chaos, joy and sorrow. Over time, through experientially mapping and understanding the interplay of each set of polarities in our own lives, we may gradually determine a point of equilibrium that reveals the hidden teachings of these mysterious fluctuations. What we must be careful to avoid, is clinging to just one end of life’s naturally divergent polarizations. And herein lie the trials set forth in the world’s current crises.

At every turn, the synthetic culture of Empire implores us to throw our hearts and minds into unconscious polarization. It wants us to radicalize ourselves to either patriot or terrorist, believer or atheist, white or black, liberal or conservative, strong or weak, and then embark on an endless crusade to reform, condemn, or destroy the other side. This one-way polarization renders all participants impotent, regardless of which side they pick. This subtle but devastating trick deactivates our will and we automatically forfeit our capacity to rule ourselves. Lost in unconscious polarization, we serve Empire.

Nevertheless, whilst Empire’s constant telegraphing of fear can be unsettling, its power to deceive is unquestionably failing to influence legions of honorable humans who refuse to hand over their discernment to the corrupt and compliant media. The sock puppet terror cells and fabricated economic cataclysms are fraying at the edges and their artificial nature is pitifully evident. The official narrative betrays only those who choose to hide from reality. For them we can do nothing, until they do something for themselves.

It is my heartfelt observation that a critical threshold of spiritually alive humans have grown so excellently in confidence and wisdom, that the old hierarchies must resort to ever more vulgar contrivances to preserve their reins of power. Understand then, that the daybreak of a new higher consciousness will be heralded not by gentle awakenings and well-mannered transitions, but by bewildering fragmentation. Just as these patterns of collapse were experienced in many people’s personal lives throughout 2015, so now they are shaking the very foundations of Empire. Towering ramparts that once seemed so impossibly daunting and everlasting, will soon be little more than forlorn ruins.

We are upon the eve of the grand winter solstice of Empire, and the longest darkest night will seem interminably protracted and bone-chillingly cold. But like all things, this too shall pass. And the daylight will lengthen and the new growth that we have envisioned for so long will blossom – if we let it. We made Empire and we must unmake it. As a thing is bound, so it is unbound. Deeds not words. Learn the art of depolarization and nothing can stop you."

The immense effort required to erect the many sophisticated large stone circles 12,000 years ago and then bury them a thousand years later provokes speculation that Gobekli Tepe and stone circles such as Syria, Jordan and Saudi Arabia; worldwide pyramids; and ziggurats in the Middle East could be self-activating machines left behind by non-human intelligences that have terraformed Earth for millennia. ECETI New Years Letter

"I am presently in Australia so I already experienced New Years Eve by the time you read this letter. Its funny I can procrastinate and still be on time, which is pretty much my nature. Time never really worked for me, I like the Aussie expression when they ask what time is it they say summer. Over here it is summer, 105 degrees while back at home in Washington State the doors are covered with snow with lots of digging. The herd of Yaks are loving it. While contemplating what I want to do the next year I think it is best to contemplate the previous year and how we can do things better. Forgive the past, ourselves, others, gain the wisdom from the experiences and start creating a better tomorrow. Do a ceremony around releasing people, places and events. Be grateful for the things that serve you and release the things that don’t. It is time to be brutally honest with our selves and others. We don’t have the luxury of suppressing our true feelings or denial.

2016 is going to be a fast and furious year with lots of changes. It is imperative to shift into creative mind and out of reactionary mind. The struggles for power and control will come to a climax. The tyrants will continue to war upon each other and try to carry out their agenda. Unfortunately for those who remain in denial and ignorant of these agendas will suffer the reactions to the actions of tyrants. Those who continue to serve the beast will fall with the beast. The source itself, the Earth or Sophia Gaia has a plan. The Ultradimensionals, Ascended Masters, Saints and Sages are all aligned with this plan. Even the Nature Kingdom is aware of and will be participating in this plan. There are forces unimaginable gathering together to implement this plan. It has everything to do with the awakening and healing of humanity and the Earth. What some call ascension or a frequency shift.

Those who are not in alignment with the new frequencies will not fare well in this process. If you are not frequency specific or rising to the occasion your world will come to an end. There are two paths and the gap is increasing exponentially. Like many of the prophecies foretold one path will end in complete collapse or demise, the other will continue. Those who choose universal law, which is best expressed as Universal Peace, Brother/Sisterly Love, Individual Freedom and Prosperity for All, “ Unity Consciousness” will fare well in the days to come. Those who choose power and wealth at the expense of humanity and the Earth will not. The real wealth is living a life in alignment with soul and spirit. It is empowering others, serving the higher good.

What so many do not factor in is divine intervention. Most do not know the higher order or workings of the cosmos. In the UFO community many have their necks cranked back into the past. Some are still trying to prove the ships are real while others are making them demons or angels. There are those who proclaim all ETs are good, some proclaim all are evil. We cannot pigeon hole this phenomena. While most of the Omniverse is benevolent there are still some groups that are extremely self serving even malevolent. Those who teach a one sided truth are doing a major disservice to others. One promotes fear the other promotes ignorance and exposes people often to unseen negative influences. The real path to self-mastery and maintaining ones self-authority is to teach how to use discernment and heal unseen negative influences which includes malevolent ETs.

Another disservice is to ignore the inner work making everything external. Many focus only on nuts and bolts, back engineering, etc. What is sad is those who cannot grasp the multidimensionality of UFOs are extremely jealous of those who can to the point of being threatened. When you add the shills and disinformation agents the whole field gets convoluted. I have been censored redundantly for bringing out a more unlimited or higher perspective in the field of ufology. Is there any question why they have not contacted the major UFO groups? One group wants to worship them, another wants to fight them, while still another wants to ignore them. Where is the unity? Is there any cooperation? Which group would the ETs choose? Any enlightened or benevolent ET would take the high road and wait for some common ground or agreement. It would be awesome for everyone to stop, take a deep breath this new years, allow a little flexibility in your be lie fs and choose to side with truth over ulterior motives. Apply universal law in every aspect of your life. I can say with conviction I don’t know everything, my truth is flexible, and I am open to new information and knowledge. I don’t need to wear the suits and ties, act as the ultimate authority, or strut around as if I am superior. Its time to be authentic."

In Glenfarg, Scotland, fireworks exploded against a backdrop of green. "Our neighbours let off some fireworks for the New Year," says photographer Stuart Walker. "They were modest compared to the organised display in Edinburgh, but looked great alongside the ongoing aurora." This storm is the result of a CME strike on New Year's Eve (Dec. 31 @ 00:30 UT). At first the CME's impact had little effect. Indeed, we initially ruled it a "dud." But as Earth moved deeper into the CME's wake, solar wind conditions shifted to favor a storm. Sky watchers in both hemispheres are now reporting colorful lights. Those were the first auroras of 2016. Now for seconds: NOAA forecasters estimate a 75% chance of more polar geomagnetic storms on Jan. 1st, subsiding to 45% on Jan. 2nd as Earth moves through the wake of the CME. Happy New Year 2016

"Over the past several years, I’ve covered many subjects on this show that would be considered alternative or fringe, but one subject that continues to captivate the audience, and myself is that which we call the ET or UFO phenomenon.

Although these terms have been used quite loosely to define an idea…the idea that “we are not alone,” and never have been – there are many of us who feel that these labels, “ET, Alien, and UFO” diminish the incredible breadth and scope of this aspect of reality; a reality that I think we as humans are far more intertwined with than many could imagine.

Frankly I don’t know that we could ever fully describe in our own terms just what this is all about – Just who THEY are and what this all means to us. For the sake of argument or for our inability to fully define this incredible mystery, we’ll call this the ET/UFO phenomenon.

Many of you who have listened to a few of the guests that I and others have interviewed over the years, particularly more recently, we’re now starting to hear broader terms that may shed more light on the scope of the phenomenon that we’re dealing with. Rather than paint this with a broad brush stroke by calling all of these beings extraterrestrials, we’re now hearing other, perhaps more expansive terms like extra-dimensionals or inter-dimensionals, the implications of which are great.

Are the beings that we’re now discussing actually here on this earth WITH US? Are some of them human looking? Are they hybrid beings? Do they live not on other physical planets but in other dimensions, or both? And here’s a big one – are WE, some of us human beings, a blend of other non-human species and are some of us starting to have recognition or remembrance of a time when we were NOT human? According to some of the stories you are about to hear in this special episode of Higher Journeys Radio, the answer to all of the above is YES!

One area that we will highlight in this episode (and an aspect of the phenomenon that I feel is far more common than many realize) is what I’m going to call “The experiencer phenomenon.” Those individuals who describe, in some cases, many, many years of ongoing contact with non-human beings.

What’s interesting when exploring the “experiencer phenomenon” is that the entry points to contact, whether through past life regression, actual waking life visits, or even, encounters with human looking beings out in public – all of these illustrate that there are multiple variations to these encounters. In fact, based on what I’ve been able to gather throughout the years, these experiences are happening to a broad range of people, from all walks of life, all professions, all cultures, ALL over the world.

It has yet to be peer reviewed by any major scholarly journal.

Another major set of works deals with alternative archaeology, physics, technology, history and alternative history. The subject of theoretical physics and obscure scientific research has been a life-long passion of Dr. Farrell, and would be his secondary choice of education. As a primary researcher, especially in documents research - he has launched innovative hypothesis on different areas such as substantiating that the flying disc crashed in Roswell, New Mexico, may have been a terrestrial produced vehicle, primarily from postwar nazi scientists. From his studies into the Antediluvian research, he formulated the weapons hypothesis concerning the pyramids at Giza, continuing Christopher Dunn's research (he states that his books on Giza "takes off where Dunn's 'The Giza Power Plant' left off"). I have been observing consciousness shifts as of late on a grand scale. There has also been a lot of movement on the ground with the White Hats. Another major set of works deals with alternative archaeology, physics, technology, history and alternative history. The subject of theoretical physics and obscure scientific research has been a life-long passion of Dr. Farrell, and would be his secondary choice of education. As a primary researcher, especially in documents research - he has launched innovative hypothesis on different areas such as substantiating that the flying disc crashed in Roswell, New Mexico, may have been a terrestrial produced vehicle, primarily from postwar nazi scientists. Mini Tsunami along Washington Coast January 16, 2016



PACIFIC BEACH, Wash. -- People on the Washington Coast got quite a show over the weekend when a rogue wave rolled in and inundated a creek and beach near Pacific Beach.

Irene Sumi was staying at a friend’s home, which overlooks the mouth of Joe Creek, and just happened to flip on her camera when the wave started to come in.

“The tide was coming in but that was definitely a rogue wave that came in quickly and big -- filled up the entire creek bed and beach,” she said.

Sumi says she visits the area regularly.

“I’ve never seen a big wave come in like that,” she said.

The wave was carrying logs and debris with it.

“It’s pretty dangerous when those waves roll through,” she said.

She posted the video on Facebook and some people compared it to a “mini tsunami.”

“That one you couldn’t run fast enough to get out of the way,” she said.

Sumi said there had been warnings over the weekend about dangerous surf.

The HIRISE Camera aboard NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance orbiter has captured an intriguing image of polygonal patterns within a crater at the Martian north pole. A Space.com report states of these features: “The entire crater is around 3 miles (5 km) across and its ancient interior has undergone countless millennia of freeze/thaw cycles that have broken the surface into polygonal shapes. A new scientific study has proposed a new hypothesis for a long-standing mystery in atmospheric science. For many years, scientists have wondered why the concentration of electrons in Earth’s atmosphere suddenly drops in a region dozens of miles above the Earth, which some call the “D-Region Ledge.” According to a recent Space.com report, an investigative team is now hypothesizing that tiny meteor dust particles higher in the atmosphere might be responsible for “sucking up” the so-called missing electrons. One of the study authors says of the electron deficiency, “It's the most dramatic gradient anywhere in the ionosphere. It really is very conspicuous, so it's begging for an explanation."

To place this mystery into a larger context, we reached out to Dr. Michael Clarage, one of the SAFIRE Project scientists. The SAFIRE Project is an independent team of researchers building a unique plasma discharge chamber to study a wide variety of electrical phenomena. We asked Dr. Clarage for his thoughts on the electrical conditions in Earth’s environment and to comment on his role as part of the SAFIRE team.

This was a gathering of independent researchers sharing their findings that all point into the direction of a secret space program that's been going on, maybe since the 1850s! Many perspectives from finance to history, technology, social engineering, and more were presented.

One of Jay's many areas of research is movies with secret space programs and breakaway civilization plot lines, and the James Bond book and movie franchise. Many Bond stories have had plot lines involving ultra-mega rich, dark, nefarious characters with their own PRIVATE space programs. While this might seem like a big stretch, remember the old saying, “Follow the money trail.”

Katherine Austin Fitts, another of the presenters, explained the gigantic, invisible, off the books, money system that may well be paying for this Secret Space Program and THAT'S where the really cool hardware and software is being employed, and NOT the fireworks show NASA has been showing us for the past 50 years.

We also touched on how "out in the open" private space programs, including Elon Musk's SpaceX and Sir Richard Branson's, Virgin Galactic are likely to be fronts, or distractions for our consumption, so that "we the sheeple" don't think or ask about the "real" advanced hardware and software. Both SpaceX and Virgin Galactic programs are using concepts that are over 60 years old, but dressed up with new materials and computers. They are definitely real programs that are potentially very dangerous (as we say a years ago), but are using very old concepts.

"In an unexpected celebration of the X-Files revival, the CIA website has highlighted ten UFO cases from their archive as well as insight into how to investigate 'flying saucers.'

Although all of the files are from the 1950's, they provide a fascinating glimpse of how the government perceived UFOs during that tumultuous time frame.

In keeping with the X-Files theme, the ten cases are split into two groups: five for skeptics and five for 'true believers.'

In the article (https://www.cia.gov/news-information/blog/2016/take-a-peek-into-our-x-files.html) titled 'How to Investigate a Flying Saucer,' the agency highlights Project Blue Book's investigation of the legendary Lonnie Zamora UFO encounter.

The piece goes on to list ten steps for studying UFOs that were seemingly taken by government intelligence agencies during the height of the phenomenon in the 1950's and 60's.

Taken together, the two releases from the CIA this past weekend could be seen are merely taking advantage of the X-Files excitement to create compelling content for their website.

However some in the UFO field are wondering precisely why the CIA would want to acknowledge UFOs after it has been so reticent to do so in the past.

UFO researcher Grant Cameron noted on his blog (http://whitehouseufo.blogspot.com/2016/01/possibly-important-ufo-development.html), "the CIA has not released anything on its website about UFO since 1997, when Clinton's CIA Director James Woolsey ordered a review of the CIA's role in UFO investigations."

As such, Cameron goes on to speculate that the surprising UFO material was released at the behest of President Obama and may be part of a subtle agenda aimed at disclosure.

Should this be the start of a phase of openness from the infamously secretive intelligence agency, let's hope we see some UFO files that aren't just from the 1950's."

Exclusive interview with the discoverer of the tomb of Alexander the Great ?


Alexander the Great is one of the most famous people in the world history. Many myths and legends surround the - allegedly buried in Alexandria - ruler. Baghdad Djillali Difallah, a French researcher, recently discovered the real grave of Alexander. However, not in Egypt but in the Kingdom of Jordan!

This is one of the biggest history sensations of the last decades. That there is a global media blackout on this discovery, despite a press conference, is food for thoughts in many ways. In the latest edition of the popular show "In the footsteps of our history" he gives the ExtremeNews-team an exclusive interview and shows photographs from the inside of the magnificent mausoleum.

According to tradition, Alexander the Great (or Alexander III of Macedonia) was born on July 20 - 356 BC in Pella and died on June 10 - 323 BC in Babylon. From 336 BC until his death, he was King of Macedonia and Hegemon of the League of Corinth.

As one can read on Wikipedia, it is presumed that Alexander’s grave had been moved from Memphis to Alexandria where a magnificent tomb had been built for him. This tomb has been replaced by King Ptolemy IV, who was like all Diadochi appealed to Alexander's model, by a new mausoleum which would serve as a tomb for the Ptolemaic royal line. So far the assumptions. Again according to the free encyclopaedia, many localization attempts have been made since the 18th century. All have failed so far.

Difallah commented as follows on this hypothesis : "The archaeologists have focused too much on Alexandria but no one found his grave in Alexandria. There are so many buildings so it could only have been by accident if they found it there. One should not forget that there were two tsunamis in Alexandria who destroyed the Pharos, counting about 50,000 deaths. It is my opinion first of all that he was never buried there and the second thing is: as the nominated bishop of Alexandria arrived, he asked the residents of Alexandria to show him where is Alexander’s grave but no one knew where it was! That would be as if someone asks in Paris for the Arc de Triomphe and nobody would know about it. And then I knew: he is not there! "

As a specialist of ancient cartography, Difallah researched for 15 years in private libraries, for example in Dusseldorf as well as in the National Library of Paris and studied Alexander the Great. Originally his research was focused on the Ark of the Covenant which is mentioned by the Bible and other religions, and is seemingly also connected to Alexander.

Difallah: "There are certain maps that are interpreted wrongly by the archaeologists. I found him thus next to Amman in Jordan. Amman is 3,000 years old and was called Rabbath-Ammon, the capital of the Decapolis. This was ignored by archaeologists..."

On July 23, 2013, Difallah presented at a press conference at the Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris his impressive discovery that he made already three years earlier. A discovery representing in his eyes the "greatest archaeological treasure of all time". The tomb contains besides the glorious golden sarcophagus and a stunning amount of golden statues and –vessels also diamonds and gold bars. This all will be discussed more detailed in the film, proved by photos and videos which are shown partly. In addition, there should be in the necropolis. In addition to a live-sized golden chariot, walls made of pure gold and other treasures, a library is located in the necropolis containing engraved copper plates weighing several hundred kilos.

Apparently, it is not "only" the body of Alexander which is buried in this gigantic grave. Difallah has visited two levels of the necropolis and counted 18 heads. On the first level alone - a kind of duplex - there are 12 niches. In these niches were the bodies of kings placed. He believes that the mausoleum of Ptolemy I Soter and even the entrance to the whole bloodline of Ptolemy can be found inside and possibly also the mausoleum of Cleopatra.

The exact location is not revealed by the discoverer, he leaves this to King Abdullah II of Jordan, who to date keeps this undisclosed. Difallah: "It would be awesome if they open the grave, all the other Arab countries should support the Kingdom of Jordan, in order to protect this unique heritage - it is unique - it is, after all, the grave of Alexander the Great - and that's not just anybody! !"

The interview has been published in three languages as part of the program "In the footsteps of our history".

Transhumanism is a recent movement that extols man's right to shape his own evolution, by maximizing the use of scientific technologies, to enhance human physical and intellectual potential. Several years ago I reached out to the ECETI Community for assistance when the ranch - and me personally - were under attack from the "powers that were" and we became entangled in a legal battle over attempts to shut us down. I will forever be grateful to you, the ECETI Community, for coming to our aid and donating to our ECETI Legal fund. Many of you know the outcome of that battle was successful as ECETI became first a land patent and now an Embassy. I can never thank you enough for your support through that trying time - all I can do is continue my mission to support you all in your Self Mastery and your awakening and healing process.

It is time for me to reach out to you and ask for your assistance again. Over the early part of this winter two events happened at the ranch. The first was a flood that took place in early December which was a combined result of previous heavy snowfall on Mt Adams followed by 24 hours of very warm weather, melting mountain snow and nonstop rain. This flood created a torrent of water that came through the Yak fields, damaged the Conference Hall, flooded the chicken coop (the coop was an island in the middle of a lake), damaged the yurts, overflowed the pond and created a rushing river where the gulley used to be. We suffered a setback, but knew we could repair this damage in the spring prior to reopening.

Then the second event took place - back to back heavy snowfalls and weather fluctuating - warming up enough to slightly melt the snow, then going cold and freezing the melting snow into ice. The weight of this frozen snow pack was too much for some of the buildings at the ranch and we lost the green house as well as suffering additional structural damage.

It is important to me and the ECETI Crew to open on time for spring 2016 season - especially as the frequencies are changing so rapidly. We have heard from many of you (and experienced ourselves at time) about your very powerful ascension symptoms that are creating confusion while you experience walking between two worlds - the old dying "powers that were" controlled 3D and the awaken, enlightened, ascended truth that our Souls know as home.

One way or another we will open on time and continue our mission in 2016 to be a sanctuary for those on the awakening path. If there is any way you can assist us by contributing to our GoFundMe campaign we greatly appreciate it. If funds for you are tight, please include us in your intention meditations.

Although the powers that were attempt to keep us down, we know the truth will win out in the end.

The Janets’ flight procedures provide a weird and sometimes laughable insight into the question: How does one fly to a “place that doesn’t exist.” As we see from our map, most Janet flights shuttle between Palmdale, Edwards Air Force Base, Las Vegas, the Tonopah Test Range, and Groom Lake (Area 51). All of these places, with the exception of Groom Lake (which is so “black” that it “doesn’t exist”) have international airport codes issued by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). Palmdale is KPMD, Edwards is KEDW, Las Vegas is KLAS, and the Tonopah Test Range (a somewhat “grey” facility) uses the code KTNX. The letter “K” at the beginning of each ICAO code means that the facility is in the United States, so the K is often dropped when one is referring to purely domestic flights. Palmdale becomes simply PMD, Edwards becomes EDW, and so on.

The next thing that one must understand is how air traffic is controlled. Air traffic is coordinated at several levels, from the local to the regional. At the smallest scale, each airport directs the air traffic coming in and out of a given airport. For example, LAS controls all the aircraft that want to either take off or land at Las Vegas’ McCarren Airport. But once aircraft have departed from a given airport and enter the high-altitude air traffic lanes, they come under the control of regional air traffic centers (there are eleven of these centers). Aircraft flying across the country in normal air-traffic lanes are handed-off from center to center as they pass over the country, an airplane flying from San Francisco would be first controlled by San Francisco Airport, then handed off to the Oakland Center (the regional center for northern California and much of Nevada), for example. When the aircraft got close to Utah, Oakland Center would issue orders to the plane to contact Salt Lake Center (which controls the area around Utah) and would provide the plane with a frequency to use in contacting the next center.

So, how does all of this work for a Janet flight from Las Vegas to Groom Lake? The answer is a makeshift system of “nudges and winks” and “cover stories” between the Janets and the regional control centers. A routine Janet flight will take off from LAS with a flight plan filed for TNX (Tonopah Test Range) using the callsign “Janet.” Once in the air, the plane is handed off to the regional control center, which is Nellis Center. Again, the callsign remains “Janet.” What happens next depends on whether the Janet is actually flying to the Tonopah Test Range, or whether its destination is actually Groom Lake. If the real destination is TNX, then the plane will operate under the control of Nellis until it’s handed off to the local air traffic controller at TNX, who will clear the plane to land at the air base, again using the callsign “Janet.” Interestingly, however, when this hand-off from Nellis to TNX occurs, the Nellis controller will not issue the Janet a specific frequency for the TNX approach, as is the custom with other destinations. But, if the actual destination is Area 51, something else happens. Once the Janet enters military airspace near Groom Lake, Nellis Center will simply clear the Janet for handoff to something called simply “control.” Nellis center approves a frequency change to the new controller, but doesn’t issue a frequency – with a nudge and a wink, the Nellis Control says in effect “I know where you’re going, and you know that I know where you’re going, and you already have the frequencies you need.”

Now, if you have a scanner, a good antenna, and you know the civilian air traffic frequencies for Groom Lake (which require quite a bit of effort to find), you’ll hear something unusual happen. An airplane (the Janet) will come to life on the Area 51 approach frequencies using a code name like “Foxy,” “Bones,” “Racer,” or “Hawk” – the code name changes every month. The unnamed “control” (Area 51) will clear the plane to land at the “non-existent” air base. An interesting tidbit: until the mid 1990s, the anonymous Groom Lake control tower used the enigmatic name “Dreamland” to identify itself.

While the procedures outlined above hold true for most daily air traffic between the “white” and “black” worlds that the Janets’ flight paths traverse, there are variations on these themes that come into play from time to time. The first variation has to do with a very unusual ICAO airport code. By comparing flight plans filed with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to actual flight-data from commercial vendors, we see from time to time that flights to Area 51 file flight plans to something called TKM. So what is TKM? There is no published ICAO code called KTM or KTKM (which would be the international version). Is TKM the actual “real” FAA designation for Groom Lake? The short answer is no. Although TKM looks like an airport code and appears from time to time in flight plans, it doesn’t correspond to any published ICAO codes in Federal Aviation Administration databases. Except one. In FAA database 7350.7W: “Location Identifiers,” the listing for the Tonopah Test Range has TKM listed as a “tie-in” facility to TNX. What is a “tie-in facility”? The FAA’s answer is that “’FAA TIE-IN FACILITY’ is the telecommunications facility that handles flight plan messages for the listed landing facility or navigational aid.” This doesn’t help clear things up. Under the FAA’s stated rules, the “tie-in” facility TKM should be in charge of communications for TNX, but we know that this is not the case. Furthermore, we cannot find any other references to TKM in Federal Aviation Administration records. So, we know that TKM is often used to designate flights to Groom Lake and that it’s somehow attached to TNX, but we know little else.

Another peculiar flight plan that appears in connection with flights to Groom Lake has to do with a little-known airstrip at the Nevada Test Site called Desert Rock Airstrip (ICAO code DRA). The airstrip is located on the Nevada Test Site near the Department of Energy’s company town of Mercury on the southern border of the Nellis Range. From time to time, DRA acts as a “cover story” in filed flight plans whose destination is actually Groom Lake. There is anecdotal evidence suggesting that until the mid-1990s, Janet flights routinely filed flight plans to Desert Rock Airstrip, then once they’d crossed into military airspace, they would contact Dreamland and proceed to Groom Lake. Those procedures have been replaced by the more recent ones described above, but this “DRA as cover story” method still seems to be occasionally used, particularly by non-Janet aircraft flying to Groom Lake such as the Gulfstream II with the tail number N105TB.
