Underwater USO/UFO Events Revealed in Declassified Russian Navy Records

The Russian navy has declassified its records of encounters with unidentified objects technologically surpassing anything humanity ever built, reports Svobodnaya Pressa news website.

The records dating back to soviet times were compiled by a special navy group collecting reports of unexplained incidents delivered by submarines and military ships. The group was headed by deputy Navy commander Admiral Nikolay Smirnov, and the documents reveal numerous cases of possible UFO encounters, the website says.

Vladimir Azhazha, former navy officer and a famous Russian UFO researcher, says the materials are of great value.

“Fifty percent of UFO encounters are connected with oceans. Fifteen more – with lakes. So UFOs tend to stick to the water,” he said.

On one occasion a nuclear submarine, which was on a combat mission in the Pacific Ocean, detected six unknown objects. After the crew failed to leave behind their pursuers by maneuvering, the captain ordered to surface. The objects followed suit, took to the air, and flew away.

Many mysterious events happened in the region of Bermuda Triangle, recalls retired submarine commander Rear Admiral Yury Beketov. Instruments malfunctioned with no apparent reason or detected strong interference. The former navy officer says this could be deliberate disruption by UFOs.

I expect climate change, what with all the trees being chopped down, less being available to turn the CO2 into O2. Increased CO2 increases the temperature of the atmosphere. Burning wood releases CO2 into the atmosphere as well, again warming it up. There is an intimate relationship between the sea and the atmosphere and ice, which change the currents, the temperature, the direction of flow. Lots of things to melt ice there and kill the marine wildlife, temperature, changing currents throwing them off course, changed food supply due to it affecting other marine life up and down the food chain. Screwing up the natural balance nature has taken a great deal of time to adapt to, turned upside down in a short period of time due to us, basically. We can blame weather modification, but we use up this place like the resources are infinite, instead of finite.

Astronomers have used NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory to make the first X-ray detection of a gravitational wave source. Chandra was one of multiple observatories to detect the aftermath of this gravitational wave event, the first to produce an electromagnetic signal of any type. This discovery represents the beginning of a new era in astrophysics.

The gravitational wave source, GW170817, was detected with the advanced Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory, or LIGO, at 8:41am EDT on Thursday August 17, 2017. Two seconds later NASA's Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor detected a weak pulse of gamma rays. Later that morning, LIGO scientists announced that GW170817 had the characteristics of a merger of two neutron stars.

During the evening of August 17, multiple teams of astronomers using ground-based telescopes reported a detection of a new source of optical and infrared light in the galaxy NGC 4993, a galaxy located about 130 million light years from Earth.

Over the following two weeks, Chandra observed NGC 4993 and the source GW170817 four separate times. In the first observation on August 19th, no X-rays were detected at the location of GW170817. This observation was obtained remarkably quickly, only 2.3 days after the gravitational source was detected.

On August 26, Chandra observed GW170817 again and this time, X-rays were seen for the first time. This new X-ray source was located at the exact position of the optical and infrared source.

All of these pieces of information indicate that this event was produced by the merger of two neutron stars, which, in turn, set off a gamma-ray burst that produced a jet pointing away from Earth. The combination of gravitational wave signals with light detected by various telescopes including Chandra represents a new era in astrophysics.

All signals are shown starting at 30 Hertz, and the progression of GW170817 is shown in real time, accompanied by its conversion to audio heard at the end of the movie. Just 25 years ago, we had no evidence of the existence of worlds outside of our own solar system. At the time, there were just nine planets (including Pluto) known to us.

Now, just over two decades later, there are 3,509 confirmed exoplanets, as discovered and confirmed by the ground-based and space-based exoplanet hunting telescopes of planet Earth. There are still another 4,000+ exoplanet candidates, which have been observed by the Kepler Space Telescope and are still awaiting confirmation. Space isn’t the vacant lot that we thought it was, with scientists confirming that an exoplanet exists for approximately every star. Some of those exoplanets may hold conditions that are favorable to life, and a new European telescope is going to join in the search to assist other projects with identifying and characterizing exoplanets.

The new space telescope is the first fully Swiss-built spacecraft, as well as being the first Swiss-managed project for the European Space Agency (ESA).Dubbed CHEOPS (Characterising ExOPlanet Satellite),the telescope will continue to add to this ever-growing list of new worlds by using a similar transit method for detection as Kepler. The transit method uses a photometer on the telescope to measure the dimming in light from a host star, which is caused when an exoplanet transits in front of it.

A massive cloud of plasma (CME) raced away from the blast site -- right into a bright conjunction. Jupiter and Mercury were less than 1 degree apart when the CME passed by.

If this meeting of planets happened in the night sky, it would have been widely observed. Because it was so close to the glaring sun, no human could see it. Only the orbiting Solar and Heliospheric Observatory, with its sun-blocking coronagraph, could record such a scene.

The CME missed everything. It sailed wide of Mercury, Jupiter, and Earth as well. Forecasters expect no geomagnetic storms as a result of the blast.

The Orionid Meteor Shower Puts on a Spectacular Celestial Show On 20th - 22nd October

One of the year's best sky shows will peak between Oct. 20 and 22, when the Orionid meteor shower reaches its best viewing. The meteors that streak across the sky are some of the fastest and brightest among meteor showers, because the Earth is hitting a stream of particles almost head on.

As many as 80 meteors an hour will dash across the starry sky.
Some Orionids will appear very fast and bright, since they can whiz by at up to 148,000 mph (238,000 km/h) in relative speed. That's just six kilometers an hour slower than the Leonids, the speediest show of the year.

Orionid meteors are visible from anywhere on Earth and can be seen anywhere across the sky.

The particles come from Comet 1P/Halley, better known as Halley’s Comet. This famous comet swings by Earth every 75 to 76 years, and as the comet makes its way around the sun, it leaves behind a trail of debris.

The Orionids are named after the direction from which they appear to radiate, which is near the constellation Orion (The Hunter). In October, Orion is best visible around 2 a.m. Skywatchers in 2017 will not have moonlight to contend with, as the first-quarter moon will have set long before the meteors put on their best show.

At the 49th Annual Division for Planetary Sciences Meeting in Provo, Utah, astronomers led by Vishnu Reddy at the University of Arizona confirm true nature of one of Earth's companions on its journey around the sun.

Was it a burned-out rocket booster, tumbling along a peculiar near-earth orbit around the sun, and only occasionally getting close enough to be studied with even the largest telescopes?
Not at all, as it turns out. While, based on previous observations, most astronomers had strongly suspected that object (469219) 2016 HO3 was an ordinary asteroid and not space junk, it took a team of astronomers led by Vishnu Reddy, assistant professor at the Lunar and Planetary Laboratory, University of Arizona, working with one of the world's largest telescopes, the Large Binocular Telescope (LBT), on Mt. Graham in Southeastern Arizona, to learn the true nature of this near-Earth object.

2016 HO3 is a small near-Earth object (NEO) measuring no more than 100 meters (330 feet) across that, while orbiting the Sun, also appears to circle around the Earth as a "quasi-satellite." Only five quasi-satellites have been discovered so far, but 2016 HO3 is the most stable of them. The provenance of this object is unknown. On timescales of a few centuries, 2016 HO3 remains within 38-100 lunar distances from us.

Self-Activating Intelligence Of Dragonfly & James Webb Telescopes

One of the most anticipated astronomy breakthroughs since the Hubble and Spitzer Space Telescopes is expected to come from the James Webb Space Telescope now scheduled for launch in October 2018. The JWST will have the Earth's best resolution and sensitivity ranging from long-wavelength visible light (orange-red), through near-infrared to the mid-infrared. It's theme is to “see first light,” meaning as far back in time to the beginning of this universe as possible.

It will have great clarity of vision because it's going to be launched to the second Lagrange point 930,000 miles from Earth (see illustration below) where the combined gravitational pull of the Earth and the Sun will allow the James Webb telescope supported by its spacecraft to circle around the Lagrange 2 point in what is called a “halo orbit.” That means the gravitational balance will always keep the JWST near the Lagrange 2 point.

Once in place, the James Webb Space Telescope has four main research goals:

1) to “see” back in time as far as possible to first star and galaxy creation in this universe after the Big Bang.

2) to understand star and planetary system formations and conditions for the origins of life.

3) to study the universe in a wide range of infrared frequencies in contrast to Hubble's seeing in visible or ultraviolet light.

4) to solve the mystery of star KIC 8462852 that has become famous for great variations in dimming light which has provoked the serious question: did an intelligent civilization build an energy production device around that star?

Professor van Dokkum at Yale University would add a fifth category — to look at his catalogue of faint, massive objects such as the dark matter galaxy Dragonfly 44 to see what more can be learned from infrared about the extraordinary 99.99% dark matter galaxy that Prof. van Dokkum calls the “dark twin” of the Milky Way Galaxy.

A group of astronomers from the universities of Groningen, Naples and Bonn has developed a method that finds gravitational lenses in enormous piles of observations. The method is based on the same artificial intelligence algorithm that Google, Facebook and Tesla have been using in the last years. The researchers published their method and 56 new gravitational lens candidates in the November issue of Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society.

Kazakhstan is the ninth largest country in the world, larger than Western Europe, and extends from the Caspian Sea on the west to Mongolia on the east; from Russia in the north to Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and China in the south. Now in 2015, NASA has taken interest in photographing from the International Space Station unusual and very large geoglyphs discovered in the southern Kostanay region and Turgay steppes of northern Kazakhstan. More and more of the unique and mysterious geoglyphs keep being discovered and the number is now over 200. Their ages are between 3,000 and 7000 years or older and they can only be viewed from high in the air.

This event was recorded in the framework of the SMART Project.

Interstellar Comet Found? Initial Observations Suggest Extreme Orbit

Jupiter In Conjunction With The Sun & Huge Comet 96P/Machholz Entered The LASCO C3 Field Of View

Today the planet Jupiter will be in conjunction with the Sun, moving from east to west with respect to the Sun. Leaving the evening sky to enter the morning sky. At the time Jupiter is invisible from the Earth’s surface.

However, there are cameras recording the Sun at all times that will also pick up Jupiter. Two on the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory perched a million miles sunward of the Earth, are chronagraphs, and contain disks that block out the light of the Sun, showing Jupiter's closest approach to our mother star.

Jupiter is about to be covered by the LASCO C3 coronagraph’s occulting disk. It will still be visible in the C2 field. As an extra bonus Comet 96P/Machholz entered the LASCO C3 field of view on the 25th and will exit on the 30th.

Jupiter's 11.9-year orbit around the Sun will carry it to its closest point to the Sun – its perihelion – at a distance of 4.95 AU.

At closest approach, Jupiter will appear at a separation of only 1°00' from the Sun, making it totally unobservable for several weeks while it is lost in the Sun's glare.

Comet 96P/Machholz or 96P/Machholz 1, is a short-period sungrazing comet discovered on May 12, 1986, by amateur astronomer Donald Machholz on Loma Prieta peak, in central California using 130 millimetres (5.1 in) binoculars.

On June 6, 1986, comet 96P/Machholz passed 0.40373 AU (60,397,000 km; 37,529,000 mi) from the Earth.
Comet 96P/Machholz last came to perihelion on July 14, 2012 and will next come to perihelion on October 27, 2017. 96P/Machholz has an estimated diameter of around 6.4 km (4.0 mi).

He is a field investigator for the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), a ghost hunter, a paranormal researcher, and the author of thirteen books and more than 100 articles on on UFOs and the paranormal.

His articles have appeared in numerous magazines including Fate, Atlantis Rising, MUFON UFO Journal, Nexus, Paranormal Magazine, UFO magazine, Mysteries Magazine, Ufologist and others. His writing has been translated into several different languages, and he’s appeared on numerous radio and television programs. Additionally, Dennett has taught classes on various paranormal subjects, and lectures across the United States.

UFO researcher Preston Dennett spoke about how the Southern California coast is one of the world’s leading producers of undersea USO (Unidentified Submersible Object) activity. The reports of objects that move in and out of the water, in ways that defy current human technology, stretch back to the late 1940’s and continue to this day, and there’s been many sightings, and hundreds of witnesses, he said. One of the first reports was of an underwater mass spotted in Northern California in the 1940s which was causing problems for ships to navigate around. The mass was tracked moving down to Southern California. An incident in 1954 involved a Japanese steamship, in which crew members saw a “fireball” hit the water, and then rise back out of the water.

Dennett presented some of the startling evidence regarding USO activity in the Santa Catalina Channel off the Southern California coast. There was reportedly an incident of pilots flying a plane over Catalina Island, when they saw a USO on the water– it struck the plane with a beam of light, and one of the pilots was abducted, while the other was killed when their plane crashed, he recounted. A case in the 1980s, investigated by Bill Hamilton, involved dozens of USOs, some above the water, others below, moving in tandem. Underwater locations offer places to hide, or even bases, for craft that don’t want to be detected.

There was an incident in Topanga Canyon on June 14, 1992, when hundreds of UFOs were seen on one night– witnesses said many of the objects came up from the ocean area, Dennett said. Another case he detailed involved a couple sailing in Florida who saw green beams of light under their boat, about 100 ft. down. An object stayed underneath them for a couple minutes shooting out the beam, before quickly darting off. Dennett also discussed UFO incidents, particularly from the state of Nevada, involving test flights and military.

Interstellar Comet Found? Initial Observations Suggest Extreme Orbit

Most of us grew up learning that there are nine planets in our solar system. Back in 2006 that all changed, when Pluto was demoted from being labeled a proper planet to its new classification as a dwarf planet, leaving just eight true planets in our celestial neighborhood. Now, a group of scientists says Pluto should definitely be added back to the planet list — oh, and that there are over 100 other objects in our solar system that should also be called planets.

Kirby Runyon of Johns Hopkins University headed a six-man team of authors from five different scientific bodies in preparing their own version of how planets should be classified. Their argument and supporting information displayed at the Lunar and Planetary Science Conference in Texas.
