I was unable to access the text of the bill, in this site:

I am hoping someone can, and perhaps post up the pdf, if that's possible. Americans have a great deal to be concerned about, as the empire begins to rear it's ugly head.

Actually since 9/11 when the patriot act was dusted off and placed into law (after being written how long before?) "they" have pretty much made it up as "they" went along.
For some reason I don't feel this newest insult makes much difference.

I am gobsmacked that it got through so easily. This is very bad news for America.
I hope the streets are flooded with protestors tomorrow in cities and towns across the nation.

The 93 that voted yes, are the ones that need to be arrested immediately!

Sorry, my USA citizens friends... Now is the time to renounce your citizenship. If you do so, you will have more rights than if you don´t.

Nope the masses are completely clueless.
Those that have even heard of it assume it has something to do with a "real" terrorist ... like the "al-cia-duh" ones.

U.S Prez promised to save you from that nasty bill. He said he will veto it. What a true Patriot! But it was a WH idea to introduce that bill.
Wired magazine published an article on that bill today...

So far each new addition to the Patriot Act or Homeland Security has almost immediately been abused by local authorities to arrest people for "crimes" the law was not even intended to police. This is ultimately what is going on. They can jail you for anything. On a whim.

"It’s confusing, because two different sections of the bill seem to contradict each other..."
Are we surprised, when things start making sense, we wont be reading articles like this anymore.
I feel things are only going to get worse - alas these are the last attempts of fascist idiocy before the sun rises... gotta breakdown before we reach our breakthrough.\
Hang tight !!! Remember our birthright will always prevail.

I agree, the main problem with the patriot act, especially the newer version is; it is so loosely written and can be interpreted in so many vastly different ways based on the context its being used in.

Why does any of this come as a surprise to anyone???
People in the know have been suggesting this would happen for what ... years now???
My advice (not worth 2 cents) stock up on survival gear and food if you have not ... and don't give into *FEAR* because in the final analysis that is what this is all about.
The system is going to collapse ... it has to ... it is unavoidable.
Do what you can to protect you and yours ... but don't give into the fear.
How many lives have we all had???
Why are we here this time???

Looks like many many pages. The pdf would be huge...but here is the direct link to all the chapters of the bill:
http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c112:S.1867:
Wonder how many of the 93 actually read the bill.

93 treasonous scumbags, eh? Indefinite cardiac capacity sounds appropriate. Indefinite diaphragmatic capability also.
It's really OK. Something has to be the spark that ignites things. This is surely a spark, but my sense is that ignition will not occur, yet. "They" sure are testing the waters though. So far, no sharks have taken off their legs.
Pity.

I don't know if this will really make much difference if it's true, but I just saw this on Facebook:
I am told Senator Feinstein got a clarification inserted in the final language that clearly states the provisions do NOT apply to any US citizen or anyone in the US legally.

I saw what she, Feinstein, wanted in that bill. It looked like a good thing to me, for American citizens. I hope I am right. If so, and the inclusion is like what I saw. Yay. A small miracle. I'll take any size. Miracles have a way of not knowing, or caring, what size they are. They also sometimes grow when you turn your back on them.

So, let me get this straight, the House has opened up the U.S. so that the war can continue on U.S. soil, and the President can kill anyone he wants, anywhere over the whole world if he/she thinks s/he is a terrorist, just as long as they aren't legal Americans? Does that about get it?
Why doesn't congress just sign our death warrants now? War here, get your war here. Hot dogs and hamburgers will be served.
