Sanchez's book, on which this interview was based, is discussed here:

Although certain elements of the disclosure may be true, I have a strong suspicion that the interview was fabricated and 'Colonel X' doesn't exist. There are numerous inconsistencies in the account and it reads like a carefully thought out formulaic script, rather than the transcript of an unrehearsed conversation.

Memories become foggy over time, sometimes forgetting or altering the actual events. But I know a person that speaks almost exactly like the guest. Those of us close to him even talk of him vomitting so much information it looses you.
Until given a reason not to, I'll put this in my "probable" file.

Just for starters:
At the very end of the interview Colonel X is responding to Sanchez's final question and explaining why he is telling the truth, "Look, you have my DD-214 of which there is an important clue for you and everyone else to ponder over; and you won’t find many other discharge papers like mine. And I’ve taken your polygraph tests and I have given you my story."
The 'Background Information' right at the start of the document states, "This interview was held at a private residence in Placer County, CA. on January 6th 2010...". Sanchez then goes on to add, "On January 8th, 2010 (Colonel X) submitted to two tests by a certified forensic polygraph examiner."
So which is true - did the Colonel take the polygraph tests before the interview, or 2 days after as claimed by Sanchez?
If basic facts like this don't line up, then your mind needs to be on red alert for incoming BS.
I spent most of yesterday studying the interview and cross-checking details that are freely available. I could spend another day composing a response that would tear it apart. But I couldn't be bothered. This goes in my 'probable BS' file.

Good stuff, reminds me of drinking strong black coffee in the winter, going to work as a security guard all by myself at night. And cracking open some Commander X or Branton material.
I remember the first time I read about this stuff, I was like, no F#cking way!
Good times. :)
