View Full Version : An Experiment in retrocausality for those who pray... in any way

I may be gone for a while, but before I go, there's something I'd like to propose to you.
A very short but interesting "conversation" I had in another thread inspired me to do this (and I am already semi-regretting it :-)).
I propose that you choose an event the outcome of which you have always regretted.
It doesn't have to have been your "fault". It could be anything -- someone else's health or life, or... whatever. Anything at all. Not matter how far back in time, no matter how "impossible" it may appear to be.
Spend some time every day praying - in whichever way you pray (even non-religious people often "pray", although they may not be aware of it) -, or use whatever method is closer to your heart, to make the "past" change its mind.
But here's the catch: you should absolutely not talk about it. Not here, not anywhere - not even to yourself. It's one of the essential technicalities of influencing "causality", and not just retroactively.
If you are willing to give it a go... Godspeed. :)
N.B. There are certain ethical, theological and what-not considerations that could be discussed, but I am not going to discuss them. It would be unproductive and disingenuous, because people do this all the time, whether they are aware of it or not, with little thought for theories.

For more about retrocausality -- I did not invent it, you know :) -- see here (http://ideopede.wordpress.com/2008/06/24/13/).
And now I am really gone. :-)

An insightful post NeverMind, and one to which I can relate.
Time often gets a bad rap (an imperfection etc.), but does serve the grand purpose of not allowing everything to happen at once, which would be a tad awkward for us all.
Whilst we cannot go back and change events in times past, we can certainly, through prayer or intention, influence the manner in which the energy associated with past events ripple forward in time.
As for the need to keep such petitions to ourselves, I have proven this to myself time and again. Each time I speak to another of a heartfelt prayer or petition, it is as if the energy required to "make it so" is dissipated. I feel it as a weakening of my own belief that that which I had prayed for would actually come to pass.
Perhaps therein lies the wisdom of holding one's own counsel.
If you are off somewhere for a spell, I wish you well.
Tony :)
Dang.........Missed ya!
Oh well.......never mind

David Icke's site has a thread where a picture is posted daily and, at 9.30pm, whoever joins in focusses on the picture through the heart and projects love out to the focus.

Lynn McTaggart (in The Field, or maybe her other book) reports on a study involving very spiritual figures praying for a group of patients, who indeed improve beyond chance effects. The punch line is that they improved, in the past.

Oh, how glad I am right now to have been unusually forgetful today, so I had to come back.... :)

I couldn't have said it better myself.
Thank you for putting it so intelligibly and accurately.

And the same to you, Tony, truly and sincerely. :)
And now, I am really.... oh, never mind.

Just a quick update:
LIGHTNESS - merry, grateful lightness - works, people.
It is what makes prayers work.
I wrote more about the importance of lightness in a reply to another thread, but don't have the time to search for it right now.
I am in a hurry.
But I just had to tell you. :)

This is an interesting article on Retrocausality:
http://realityshifters.com/pages/articles/retrocausalrs.html
From the introduction:
RETROCAUSAL REALITY SHIFTING:
ADVENTURES IN THE FINE ART OF CHANGING THE PAST
INTRODUCTION
Retrocausality, sometimes referred to as 'backwards time causality' or 'reverse time causality' is defined as the future influencing the past, with effects preceding causes. This view adopts a symmetrical treatment of time which allows causal movement in two directions, rather than only from past to future. Physicists Stephen Hawking and Thomas Hertog's concept of a 'top down cosmology' views the universe as having begun in every possible way, with the most probable pasts being determined right now. In contrast with the assumption that time must always flow in one direction from past to future, this new cosmological model depends on the retrocausality idea that effects can precede causes on all levels of reality, not just in the quantum realm.
The'double standard fallacy' of thinking about and treating the past and future differently is but "a projection of our own temporal asymmetry." [1] One-directional causality leads us to feel hope for the future, but not for the past. Rather than viewing time from a narrowly constrained point of view, theoretical physicists are now adopting the Archimedean 'view from nowhen' to better comprehend how two-directional causality easily resolves long-standing paradoxical problems in quantum mechanics. [2]
We find a large body of evidence for retrocausality, from recent research results as well as from thousands of years of anecdotal evidence describing incidents in which cause has followed effect. Through experimental studies we see that people can perceive future events before they occur, as well as influence events that have already occurred in the past. Historical accounts describe how people often experience time-reversed phenomena, such as: precognitive dreams, miraculous spontaneous healings, manifestations, synchronicities, meeting their future selves, and recalling memories of past lives from future times.
Concerns about the possibility of contradictory causal loops, in which it might be possible to undermine one's own existence if one's ancestors are harmed, appear to be unfounded.

Hello, Amym.
That article is the basis of the compendium mentioned in my second post in this thread. :)
Only... don't waste too much time reading on such things, people.
They are for those who need "confirmation" that it does exist.
If you really want to try and do it... just try and do it.
No reading.
Good luck.
