Now, I don't know if any such thing exists but are there any herbs that can be used for soothing during full moon.
I notice that around full moon I tend to get more agitated than usually.
Many thanks in advance.

Violet, I know a few off the top of my head, but let me take a look and will respond. Remember to breathe in count of 4, hold for 4, breathe out count of 4.
Do you have any sandalwood or frankincense? They help deepen the breath and relax you.

Hi again Violet,
Below are some relaxing herb tea recipes. These are from the Herbal Tea thread.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Sleep Tea Recipes
When you need to relax and sleep, but are wired or worried or just 'still awake', consider an herbal tea. These teas have a window of about 20 minutes, during which they will relax you, making you drowsy so you can drop off to sleep.
If you make it a little ritual, your body/mind will get used to it and you will have more predictable results. Get everything ready before you do the tea. Have your bath/shower, into PJs, everything in the house taken care of so you can devote yourself to sleep. Put pen and paper near your tea-sipping place ... you'll see why in a minute ...
Begin to unwind as you putter in the kitchen making your tea. Pour a cup and sit down to sip it. Take a deep breath and exhale slowly as you release the day's 'stuff.' Feel it leave you. See it float away. If it has annoyed you today, see it as a balloon that you POP with enthusiasm.
If you still have something on your mind, jot it down and release it to the paper and ink. Make a list if you need to, so your mind is cleared.
Sip your tea and paddle off to bed. Sweet dreams, my friends.
Sleep Tea #1
3 parts chamomile (German Chamomile=Matricaria recutita or Roman chamomile=Chamaemelum nobile)
2 parts lemon balm (Melissa officianalis)
1 part linden flower (lime bloom) (Tilia americana)
Chamomile buds are mildly sedative, a relaxing nervine.
Lemon balm is a good nervine tonic.
Linden flower can reduce anxiety, ease cramps, and studies show it triggers the same benzodiazeprine receptors in the brain that Valium does. Be aware that the synthetic pharmaceuticals can cause vivid dreams and even nightmares. It is possible the same thing might happen with the natural compounds, especially if you are sensitive to it. If you want to study your dreams, begin to keep a dream journal near your bed. But discontinue linden flower if you become tired or stressed by vivid dreams.
If you have heart problems or issues, limit your intake to 1 cup of linden tea a day. Some believe too much linden can weaken the heart. Too much of anything is not a good idea, and remember linden flowers have been used safely for generations.
Sleep Tea #2
2 parts American passionflower (passiflora incarnata) ('Maypop')
2 parts oatstraw (Avena sativa)
2 parts lemon balm (Melissa officianalis)
American passionflower is sleep inducing and mildly hypnotic, and is a mild pain reliever.
Oatstraw is a nervine tonic that helps you relax.
Lemon balm is a good nervine tonic.

Yes I believe marijuana has lots of health benefits. I also use it as a spiritual tool.

I always have chamomille in the house, so that one I knew. Certainly some very useful tips here. Fennel seems to also be good for general calming in general situations of stress and anxiety.
I just wondered if there existed any herb that is known to be beneficial - specifically - at full moon.

I highly recommend both Heimia Salicifolia and Calea Zacatechichi if cannabis isn't your thing. The first one expands ones active working memory and the second one affects dream recall and vividness. Cannabis will heighten the plasticity of the brain, making it much easier to reform old behaviors and such. It also has a tendency to stimulate right-brain activity. It should be noted that I am not condoning the use or abuse of these substances, just making objective statements about them. Spinach is wonderful.

I'm getting angelica for this use. The Full Moon time stimulates the small mind, so you want something that grounds you, relaxes and takes you away from the mind chatter. Angelica aids circulation and can help bring blood to those parts of the body that are far away from the heart, such as the hands and feet. You can make a bath sachet of angelica by placing it in old nylons or cheesecloth and adding it to your bath. The warm water will infuse the scent into the air and help you to relax.
You can also use the crystal black tourmaline. Best not to make decisions on a Full Moon.

Hi Violet,
Last night I made a tea using Vervain and PassionFlower. I heated up a thermos and let 3 teasp of Vervain and 2 teasp of Passionflower soak for about an hour with half a lime squeezed in. I had two mugs of hot tea and went to bed about two hours after drinking. I made sure my bed was nice and warm, I felt so so cosy in there and had THE most delicious nights sleep. Waking up after 7/8 hours totally and very very deeply rested. Camomile has never really worked for me.
I could feel the tea working once I had drunk it so maybe 1 teasp of each or just the Passion Flower would help you relax during the day time.
It was absolutely GREAT!
Love and blessings,
T XXX
I tried the tea without the lime juice this evening and it did not feel as strong.
I did this to potentiate my dreaming, however I have no dream recall from last night.
I did get some "inspiration" about treating a long term injury on my foot though - turmeric in a paste with castor oil applied on the area with a hot water bottle on top. Googled it this evening and seems that it may have some effect as MRI showed I have a ganglion cyct on my talonavicular joint. Here's hoping as if it works I iwll avoid surgery and two months on crutches!!
Good luck with everything.
