This is the game they play. They allow this information to be told and then cut away to two of the three investigators who express incredulity. Notice the age of the dissenters/questioners. They are the target age, picked for viewers to identify with. Not bad odds if two out of three people cannot believe this is really going on. That is two against one. Throw in the trait of people not liking to go against the grain and you whittle down that 33% even more to something like the 15% that can't be hypnotized and resist mind control.

This is how it is done. These shows are complete edited contrivances interrupted by commercials to break your concentration. Even if you watch them here, commercial free, the above conditions are still operative. The big difference being that a fair representation of that 15% are here.
