Ray Mears - Northern Wilderness

Ray Mears is a British survival expert. The series "Northern Wilderness" is the story of his journey across Canada, where he follows in the footsteps of some of the least well known explorers, and meets a variety of first nation people, learning some of their ways.

I Enjoyed this series very much, it was good to learn about the pioneers who, as Ray says, should by rights be household names, but who aren't. Wonderful to see the awesome beauty of Canada and best of all, moving to see the indigenous people sharing their knowledge with him, and learning of how their lives have changed. As with anything from Ray Mears, there are also plenty of survival tips.
