Poking the ego monster won't help...

this situation is a feed back loop; it didn't go well originally & a lot of us agree that we do not liek the outcome..... but jumping into this is not productive... I hate to say it but its best to move on; if the parties involved didn't learn from the experience then they probably won't, if they did then there's no point in belaboring the poiont now.

Reguardless the Ego is the issue, not nuggets or "evil"; reduce your problems and you'll find the solution; leave them complex and angst will abound.

I really do not spend as much time on this forum as apparently so many others here do. I was not even aware of the drama with Sidious.
But lets step back, pull on our big boy and girls britches and realize that some people here are WAY too attached to drama.
This place is about information. If someone does not give information and is merely discussing people, move on.
I rarely log in, and I rarely read most of what people write on this forum. Why?
Because of threads like this. Now I am quickly becoming a hypocrite so I will
wrap it up!
Bottom line: information is the only important thing regardless of who puts it out. If someone calls you a nugget or evil they are projecting. Disregard and move on. The problems you people, not meant in a bad way, have are reflections of the greater problem: appeal to authority and outside moderation. Do we need to punish TPTW? No, they are doing that to themselves. Personally, they should be ostracized by civilized people of the world/ universe. There is no need for universal police to moderate interaction, regardless of scale. If sidious calls you a nugget, mentally block him until he engages like a big boy. SHould the moderators ban him: NO!, should YOU cease engaging with him: if you choose. This is the key: shifting from outside moderation to internal. These people only do the things they do because people constantly interact with them feeding them. Don't feed the trolls.

i saw this and coming from a person who CHOOSES to portray themselves in THAT picture with that kind of connotation.... clearly they enjoy the darker sides of life which includes taking down other people for their own enjoyment. brush it off, as i see you have. he gives me the heeby jeebies.

and as far as Paul goes. bleckkkk. i think its time for a refreshment course for the mods or a revamp. to say it nicely ;) again brush it off... hopefully one of the mods will get around to helping you eventually.

The REAL problem with L.S. was that someone ALLOWED somone elses WORDS to "insult" them.

seriously this is the EPITOMY of what is wrong with society to day, this is the most un-self reliant un-personal responsable thing that can be done, especially when you not only allow words to affect you; but you THEN appeal to a "higher power" (externalising YOUR OWN power) for help.

this is children on the play ground getting into a shouting match then running for the teacher.

if we cannot even resolve our OWN PERSONAL issues with out the need of a higher authority then how will we ever achieve freedom from that that we all dispise.

I think the tact of this whole situation is sad & very anti-progress & needs a serious look... & not from admins, we need to be able to handle our selfs and being called a name is probably the stupidest thing to call "for help"...

You have made a few very wrong assumptions.

Because we volunteer our time that does not mean we are glued to the monitor, the emails and the PM inbox. We do have to eat, do chores, and otherwise live our lives. We also are asked to respond to the same questions over and over again on some threads.

That Paul posted on this forum today, does not mean that he has also got a chance to read his emails or his PMs. Also it does not mean that he in duty 24/7.

The recommended way to report an offensive post is to use the report button. I've checked the reports today I see no report from you!

To ask any one of the mods to be here 24/7 to respond to your requests is absurd...

Please report the offending post, and allow the human mods some time (and yes it could take days) to get to your report and address the matter.

I suggest you take your BS remark back, and think a bit about what you are doing and asking here of one person.

As I've said elsewhere, I feel there was more than 'nuggetry' at play. Why get the moderators involved anyway? We can stick up for ourselves and we can tell someone to their face when a word they use offends us. As long as you both know that, then who else needs to know? We need to moderate ourselves at times. That is why were are here. Because we are all intelligent individuals who can see past ridiculous statements. Just go ahead and put forward your ideas, and don't give a monkey's what anyone else says. Sure, don't result to personal attacks, but learn to see through them as misunderstandings, confusions - let them make you stronger and know that everything is love. At least you know your words made someone think. Everyone has insecurities, and is equally prone to lashing out under the right circumstances. That's all I can believe has happened in the past week. I would compare it to an earthquake really. Little tensions build up over time, and in the end it takes one little push, and everything comes crashing down.

That's when you build it stronger than you built it before. You learn from criticisms. Someone calls you evil? Well I'm sure you are not, but go all out just to prove you aren't. If something you say offends someone, go all out to clarify what you mean. Any honest person here can maybe come across as a little offensive at any given time, because they are trying to assert an idea but honesty is the key. If someone says something a little irrational, at least you know they mean it. At least then you may truly comprehend all of their other statements. If you know someone to be honest, then it doesn't matter what they say, you know they really cannot harm you. It is deception that harms. That is what I feel the moderators should be looking out for (and I'm sure they do). Honesty is a most sincere form of love in my opinion. It shows that you can trust others with your opinions, even those opinions which may be hurtful. Learn not to be hurt. Learn not be slighted by honest words. Feel respected. And above all, be yourself. Always.

This place is what you make it, as with anything. It doesn't belong to anyone, and it belongs to us all. And that is why it is so precious, and so vital to us. Imagine a world with no Project Avalon. Personally, I find that to be a worrying prospect. Project Avalon can be a wonderful place, and for the most part it is. But sometimes, it just feels as if its trying to collapse under the weight of wonderment and the strain of ideas. No-one knows what's going on. Not me, not you. All ideas here are a stab in the dark, a guess at best. A lot of the time we may feel something is right within us. That it resonates, and others may agree or disagree. All we can do is articulate our ideas, and our opinions in the most respectful and honest way we can. Perhaps this is the most important thing.

Indeed, I was watching some videos of the infamous Charles Manson. Now, he truly is evil, but nonetheless he had profound ideas. And something he said is very relevant here. "I cannot beginto convince someone else of something unless I am confident in myself that I believe it." Something along those lines. That people share ideas is a mark of respect - because they have thought long and hard about how they feel on an issue, and it can often be the most difficult thing to share that idea with someone else for fear of it being rejected. And perhaps that's where these sorts of insults come from. When you've thought long and hard about something, convinced yourself of its reality, and then finally mustered up the courage to share it, and someone doesn't quite agree - that is difficult to accept for our minds, and so our reaction is often to lash out in anger, which in turn is borne out of fear. We must overcome that though, and everyone must learn to be accepting of other paradigms.

Often I feel that there is a prevailing paradigm on Avalon. One which sometimes I do not share. But there isn't. That's an illusion. It's just that others can be more forceful in asserting their opinions. But know there is an infinity of different ideas on this forum. Some of which have never been shared. Still in the minds of people trying to convince themselves. But the truth is - you will never convince yourself. You just want to, because anything else is scary. To not know what's going on in the world is frightening and difficult to accept. But that's not the point. I don't come here because I think I'm gonna get all the answers. I'm just here because I know that everyone else is looking for answers with me, and that makes me feel less alone.

The moderators were correct in banning for continuous use of the term "nugget". There had been ample and sufficient warnings and they were unheeded in a terrible way. By continuing the use of a considered inflammatory term within the threads of the forums, relying on forum membership friendships to lever absolution is despicable implying forethought by the accused. Naturally, the friendships will rally their arguments advocating disdain and unfairness proclamations not realising they are being played by distracting away from Avalons original purpose, just as a salmon wader works his floundering prey, Lord Sidious is working his flock.

I also agree that we should have no need for moderators in an ideal group gathering, the group should move within itself to resolve matters of discontinuity and here within Avalon there are ample opportunities for each of us if "performers" would negate hideous distractions. The most tiresome to be honest are the those reply with thanks for being "nuggetted" roflmao
I mean its like feeding peanuts to caged animals. lol
I am going to invent a computer chair equipped with a special kirilian camera in the seat so when the emotional state of the seated changes i.e. on receiving a "nugget"; the photo is instantly uploaded to the Avalon forum. We then have definite proof that the human coccyx is indeed an active tail. Now that's worth registering with Avalon and having your tailed wagged with insults by Sidious.
I doubt for one minute Sid is the least bit concerned on any outcome over his banning as his intellect stood out appreciatively and he knew it.

Sad thing is, when Sid actively participated in discussions he was, and is, extremely helpful and informative and to be honest a loss to the forum. So it's a life ban for him, so all we need to have him reinstated, is proof of death and rebirth and the problem is sorted, he can come back. It's all rather easy, when we have the collective forums proclaiming ascension and rebirth and am sure there are many esoteric connotations of wizardry and witchery that can manifest some form of healing cure that cleanse the "evil" from him. :-)
Note: Pyramidal therapy though helpful is not recommended in this case as the distorted field of focus of the kirilian camera will impact the photographs with a pyramid sticking from his arse.

So can we have a party when he is reinstated. Please :-)
