Since I have a problem in getting images directly, let me just put the links here.
And this is the original thread...in Chinese

Living in China it's easy to get really close to the darkest corner of our world. It's a part of the world's truth, normally I pretend it doesn't exist. but when you see it for yourself by accident, it's just so, so sad.

So, anyone wants to see it with me?

This winter, a bunch of young volunteers went there, finding them living in...what kind of house is this?

The home is in Harbin, a city very close to Russia. And it's december now, I can't imagine how they'll cope with the cold.

Beautiful smile on their face. They are left to die and to be fogortten. Haven't connect with the outside for year. The volunteers visiting may be the happiest thing in these years.
The chalk writing on the wall: welcome to Harbin...Happy new year...long live the socialism...

This is too big a thing for us to question. So let's just learn not to ignore it:(

No images, Renne. If you have an upload site (www.photobucket.com) load them there and then get the direct link. Go to the top of the edit area here and click on the 'image' button and paste the url there. I would really like to see your pics.

Aww, it says "access denied" now.

If you click on the link provided by that access denied message, you can see the images :).

Apparently their web server only allows requests coming from some other page on their web server (such as that error page.)

A bit amusing it is ... the very screen that seems to say "keep out" is the key to admission ;).

Thanks Paul! :)

Renne, I see images like that and I am reminded of places in the United States where you can find similar scenes. I was born in the deep country of Texas in a small town where blacks and whites were divided by railroad tracks. Back in the day, it was dependent upon cotton picking, which my parents did as small children. If you go there, you will find old people in ramshackle buildings, living on what they can find and what they are given, wearing whatever they can to get through the cold.

With such a large population, there must be many serious issues in China where scenes such as these and lives such as these are becoming increasingly common. More than being a side-effect of the economic system of the West that China has embraced, it is a testament to the break-down in community and in the family, where the elderly are not taken care of in the way that perhaps they should be. That says something about the desperation that now permeates the world and humanity as a greater family. Let us hope that we can all work to make it better, each in our own individual ways.

Hi Renne.

The pictures have left me crying.. for them.. for others like them.. for the suffering, cruelty and despair that drowns this planet. I wish I could help them.. I wish I could end all of the suffering right now on Earth. Not one day goes by where I don't think of it.

:'(

Thank you for the pictures and thank you to these beautiful volunteer souls that went to their aid.. for at least now the people observing this thread.. know of their plight and they will not be forgotten at least not in our hearts.
I am sending love and prayer their way.

Namaste.

Interestingly Shocking, I'm sending out my good intentions for these beautiful people. Look at the look in their eyes, i see true appreciation and a warm soul of these people.

It's a good sign you care for other people. I do care for all the people on earth suffering for no reason. We can live happy and in abundance all over the world. It's important that we don't close our eyes for the suffering, but it's more important to make this world a better place. In that case it doesn't help to focus on the drama over and over, because it will make us feel bad. So our frequency / energy level drops dramatically and instead of making the world a better place we suffer ourselves. We have to break the spell and connect more with the consiousness we are. That way we can change the world, by being the change we want to see. And I have to admit: I'm not there yet

The worst part for me, is that ONE day without war, could fix this. A year without war, could permanently fix this. Our world has upsidedown priorities. Cold blood killing takes priority over making our brothers and sisters warm and fed.

Thanks for your warm words, Rahkyt
You can see the pictures in the original thread here
http://www.tianya.cn/publicforum/content/develop/1/753939.shtml
Interesting thing is, it's us who feel bad about them, whereas they live their life with 100% peace and sincerity. While we call them "poor", they have much stronger and richer soul than us, I can almost see God drops light on their faces.

Black Panther, these things happen "over and over" doesn't make them dramas, never. I have no intention of showing dramas, I just want us to feel again, to admit their existence so that we can grow up.
