At times I find myself in deep despair over the lack of awareness of some of those around me. I am going through a process of expansion of my awareness and it is happening at an ever quickening pace. And yet, there are those who are oblivious to the truths that I see and understand as being self evident.
I get frustrated with this as it is a blessed and wonderful gift, the ticket to the freedom of being that I have longed for since I was a child. I have only desired to share this beautiful gift with those who are around me. I love them and they would surely benefit in innumerable ways as I have.
sadly, it does not work that way. It has taken time and growing pains to understand that this gift is only for myself, that I may compare notes with others of like mind but that I have no right to force my knowledge upon those who are not yet ready. In fact, I have a responsibility to respect those of less awareness, to treat them with love, dignity, and sovereignty, to honor them in my every thought and deed. For as surely as I have woken to something far greater than I had ever imagined, so too will they in their own time. When they are ready, not before.
The best that I can do for them is to make sure that my words, actions, and intentions are all in alignment. We learn more by observing each other than we do by preaching to each other. It is my intent to be a teacher, but not in the traditional sense. I choose to focus my energy and my journey in the direction of expansion, from here on forward seeking higher knowledge, seeking peace, abundance, and equality for all through the path of wisdom. I have much to share with those who also seek.
Jesus said that we should not throw pearls before swine. What he was saying is that pearls of wisdom thrown before those who are unable to identify them and appreciate them will surely be trampled in the mud of ignorance, their beauty and brilliance lost, wasted. Those who look after and care for material things of beauty and brilliance know that words, ideas and concepts also must be looked after and cared for, protected. That they must not be thrown about in a hurried manner, that they should be kept away from those who dare not appreciate them.
I am in favor of a new way, a way that says these ideas and concepts should be placed in the open, for the young to see so that they do not have to search so long and hard for them. So that they may know of them early and then build upon them in their own lives. That societies may know beauties, wonders, and freedoms not dreamed of in a very long time.
I see the potential for a world very different from the one we know today, a world almost unrecognizable to the peoples of this world. I know it's there, I can feel it. Everything as it should be, the beauty and wonder of a truly advanced civilization. Gone are the maladies that plague our world today.
We know that which is right and that which is not. We see it every day, in big ways and small. So many people in the alternative movement want to go into the world and make big changes, come up with the next big revolutionary thing. People ask me from time to time, "what can we do?".
Here is what you can do: Be the change you want to see in the world. I know it sounds cliche' but it is the truth. So let us investigate this thought. Let's say you get up in the morning and you look in the mirror. You say to yourself, "I'm too fat, I need to exercise, eat better, and lose weight. Do it. We all look around and see each others ever expanding waistlines, and we know something isn't right about it. Yet we do nothing- worse than nothing- we continue in our long established patterns.
Now, I well know that eating right and losing weight is a big challenge. I just used it as an example. You could challenge yourself to be kind to someone your not normally kind to. You could challenge yourself to pick up trash when you see it on the ground and you think to yourself "someone should pick that up". That someone is you! The point is to make small, positive changes within your own reality.
We go into our daily lives and we treat a loved one or a coworker in a less than respectful manner. We know it's wrong, why do we do it? More importantly, if we are aware, why do we do nothing to change this pattern? We allow these things to continue unabated. Action. We must stand up and take action. Not in big ways, but in small ways. Small changes have a cumulative effect and result in one big change.
And that's the change I'm looking for. How about you?
Lest you should think that this writer sees himself as walking the walk perfectly every day, let me assure such is not the case. I have my own challenges. We all do. The message I am trying to convey here is one of conceptualization, and then committing oneself to taking baby steps. I challenge you the reader to walk with me, to work with me. Work on the small stuff first, the stuff that is easiest, simplest to do. When we have mastered that one simple thing, move on to another. And then another. It is only natural that we will begin to challenge ourselves. Then, small changes translate into big changes. And big changes within ourselves translate to big changes in our world.
There is no need to move into the boondocks and live off of the grid, for most of us this is simply impractical. There is no need to stockpile food and weapons, for most of us this is impossible. Simply do what is right, dare to think and act differently from what the program says you should do. Be kind to all living beings. Do not seek to gain more than a fair exchange of energy from other beings. Honor and respect all beings in your every word, thought, and deed.
Challenge yourself to think the best of others at all times. This does not mean that you should allow yourself to be taken advantage of. You should never allow another being to damage your energy. And you should never enter into a situation where you know your energy will be damaged. Observe the plant kingdom, they seek out that which adds to their energy, and they avoid that which damages it. You should do the same.
How do I change the world? By changing myself. By changing my thoughts, my words, my intent, and my actions. Then and only then, will my world change.
With Honor and Love,
Charlie
