“Those who cannot learn from history, will be forced to repeat it”
How many of us choose to ignore this simple fact? I’m not just talking about this life but for all the experiences we have had. Most people believe that they only have one shot and that this is it, but what sense does it make to hold accountable someone who was born in Africa as opposed to the UK or the US to the same standard or the same belief and say that the person in Africa will not be able to achieve the same enlightenment. Do you really think that the third world country individual will be dammed simply because of lack of knowledge about a particular religion? Do you seriously think that a divine source will not allow an equal opportunity to all people regardless of location or status? How much more arrogance does it take for those who do not understand true principles of faith and belief to get off their high horse and come to a realization that we are all co-creators in our own existence. It has been said that this “life” is a time to prepare to meet God, I would even go far as to expand that limited belief to these “Lives” are a time to prepare to meet God/Father/Source/Great Spirit/Devine.
How do I expect to become enlightened when I shun my own brothers and sisters because they do not think, act, look, or speak the way I do. Do I reach for the stars on the back of others? Do I seek to better myself by tearing down the less knowledgeable? Oh what a tangled web my friends. I do not profess enlightenment I profess that I am now aware of my own learning experiences, I come to understand my own lessons to learn, I come into clarity of self that I need to live here in the present. Everything that I have learned over my lifetimes needs to come to the present. Every aspect of who, what, and where I am needs to be understood, I carry in my DNA all the information that I have gathered over my life times of experience, now it just needs to be accessed.
Stop blaming yourself and start understanding yourself, stop blaming others and start embracing others, stop living in the past and start living in the present. You are the most powerful being you will ever meet you are the most valued prize in all the land; you are the most beautiful creation ever constructed. I don’t care where you came from, I don’t care what you did and I don’t care what language you may speak, all I care about is that you understand that you are my brother and sister.

Hi Dig,

I listened to an audio recording of Adyshanti - he is a spiritual teacher of enlightenment - and he told a story of how he went into a prison and met with death row and life without parole prisioners. He told how these people got enlightenment because they had nothing else. They were put in a situation where they could only go within - there was nothing else to do.

So if we compare them to those out free with their houses, their cars, their jobs, their money, their free speech, which are the ones in the prison?

I suppose what I am saying is that enlightenment can happen anywhere. It is realisation of our true natures and it is open to all.
