View Full Version : Messianic music speaking to my heart and soul

I was deeply involved in Messianic Judaism for years. Those are some of my happiest memories. Being a "Ruth" was painful due to the MJAA attitudes and ultimately hurt the movement because many who loved Israel felt like second class citizens. That was one of the reasons I left it, but not for spiritual reasons, more political.
One of the things that still speaks most deeply to me though is Messianic Music. Lamb was a focal group in that genre. If you love the word put to music and love a Jewish tempo, then this thread will be for you. I will post the one's I love which will have various artists. I would love to share with others who also love this, and hope to create a space of peace and love when other threads are not so much so.

This has got to be one of my most favorite songs by Joel Chernoff:

I love this group:
I am reminded of King Saul who spoke of the ability of David's playing his music would soothe him and thus we have the beautiful psalms of David. This group always stills my heart and lifts my spirit. The word put to song is a perfect balm.

The Kenites have so managed to destroy the joy of Judah, and the special place of Yerushalim / Jerusalem. Their stench fills the ethers in astral and sadly many hate the beloved city of God. This song speaks to this, and yet it speaks also to the utter depravity of our souls, our homes, our world and how can one rejoice in such filth? I take refuge in the knowledge that this is a season and as one great man once said, there is a time for everything, a time to rejoice and a time to refrain from rejoicing. I see such sadness coming and my tears are silver lined knowing the healing that will follow in the true ascension:

Many talk of this energy shift they feel. It is the call home. It is the love of the Divine lover and creator or our souls and spirits. We are not easy to let go, and while we are allowed our sojourn in the world, when we recognize our lovers call, we can't help but desire to be one. The trick is recognizing the true creatrix call vs. the interloper:

We all yearn for this new day. It's coming.

For those who love praise, here is one of the most beautiful :

"Your love is greater than I can imagine, I bless you with all that I am" The branches were broken and we have all been grafted into the Divine lineage and Divine right to be one in that love. How can anyone hate this message? Forget the lies of men and women. Forget the lies done in the name of Jesus and just sit in the presence of that divine love. I cannot imagine a better place or a more loving world.

Feel the power in this song... Open your spiritual eyes and feel the annointing on these words. This is not done by man, but by the most powerful force in the universe, the source of love, light, and life:

I loved my time spend in the MJAA -Messianic Jewish Alliance of America. There was a group called "The Olive Tree" and Shoshana Kurzweil wrote this song. It's just fun to listen to it as it's kind of her testimony. Very funny song:

I had forgotten this song, that is really funny. I met Marty at a conference in 1989 when he first came out as a Messianic Jew. So he wrote this song telling his tale. He was a trained cantor, and has a really beautiful voice, but this song is just fun.....
