Ho - ly -crap. I just finished the second episode, and the results are phenomenal. The concepts, presentation, etc. of the show are astounding depending on how it is interpreted. I find myself sent soaring through multiple levels of significant correlation and intuitive cross reference. Perhaps it is just me and individual results may vary but,....

Any who read between the lines and who have not could do worse than to at least experience the first episode.

I suspect there are subliminal triggers - but of a less than nefarious kind - woven into the storyline. I had to sleep on it to effectively communicate, but I went to sleep contemplating the following aspects of life and existence. Some of these ideas are not necessarily new, but here goes in an inclusive and subsequent sequence not unlike the main premise of the first episode:

Every aspect of a person's individual personality is a self-defense mechanism based on every experience they have ever had. An organism from its inception is tacitly aware of the inherent unity of all living things and lacks any artificial contest to the idea. The personality that develops is in response to the stimuli that are experienced by a world unwilling (currently) to allow the individual to remain fixated on their existential unity. Everything from likes, dislikes, preferences, inclinations, the works is all a matter of conditioning (conscious, subconscious, and unconscious). Simple, that the mind is entirely a construct built between the body and the spirit - the separation between the two which a developing organism is forced to adopt in order to make 'peace' with the fact that they exist as separate from everyone/thing (the body) while being inherently unified with all life (the soul or spirit).

The expression commonly referred to as dominance or the 'alpha' expression is a contradiction in terms, and is one of the foremost lies that is taught by socialized society. Dominant expressions such as taking up a larger area when standing or sitting, habitually speaking loudly/over people, and other expressions lacking consideration for others (on a personal level, I will include interpersonal levels in a moment) are the opposite of a holistic dominant expression. When a person expresses 'classical' dominance they are actually expressing a lack of satisfaction in their experience which is consequent to the separation that they are forced to develop in personality. It is an illustration that a person is not satisfied with a limited space or a finite interaction with others and feels compelled (in any consciousness level) to attempt to impose or insinuate their presence and person into the experiences of others. A truly considerate 'alpha' would recognize their responsibility to themselves and others and would take up as little space/awareness as comfortably possible, as they would recognize the dissatisfaction as being internal and not conditional to their experience.

Interpersonal dominance (economic with the bankers, political with the governors/lawmakers, intellectually with the media and school controllers, etc.; recognizing that many of them are one in the same) is an expounded expression of this phenomenon, and is increasingly artificial and conditioned in those participating in such capacity. In this line of thinking, even the psychopath is simply responding (non-conducively) to the adversity and dissatisfaction that results of experienced separation which is inherently known but repressed in the perception of the individual.

Every aspect of an individual's personality - great or small - is developed and artificial, though once developing the personality the individual becomes increasingly expressive of this defense and will use any stimuli as an opportunity to express it. Online forums - including Avalon, though there is a more accepted expectation of conduct than elsewhere - are a perfect series of case studies depicting how some of the most benign and unassociated questions and expressions are used by individuals as a means to express their inherent personality, their self-defense conditioning. Those who are want to be misogynistic, judicious, controlling, guru-esque, or wordy know-it-alls () will take any available opportunity to do so as it is a means by which they are able to (attempt to) diminish the dissatisfaction and adversity of continuing to experience the physiological separation that stands in opposition to the energetic/spiritual unity.

---

All that was the creative mental response to just the first two episodes.

On a critical level, it is another example of a predominantly green-screen series where everything is being conducted on a small set with visuals inserted for just about everything but the ground and the actors/actresses and their costumes. Additionally there are a number of subtle suggestions (like the idea of child services providing an excellent, peaceful, and more adequate place for the son to reside for example) that are in conflict with the average - if not the endemic - observable real-world circumstances.

There are several plot elements (like the decision of the Russian father in response to the questions from his son) which would not occur in reality and are in defiance of how people tend to respond in given situations. The idea presented in the story is meant to be an example of how timely and opportune stimuli can make all the difference and result in changes and positive direction, but I haven't watched enough to state with any certainty whether this is an optimistic suggestion to the viewer, subliminal programming geared toward advancing non-confrontational passivity in a receptive audience, or pure distraction for a people more awake and aware of spiritual foundations and ideas. Other possibilities exist, but I can say with certainty that this is a show I will likely watch through to completion.

In line with the ideas of the show, I also notice that this thread was started on 1/2/2012.

Yes, this was a good series. The network put it on Friday night, the kiss of death for a series. I think it was deep sixed due to it hitting too close to home. Why would they want anyone to know all is connected and that we can influence our own reality? Why would they want people to know that they can stand up to the system and that being a loving parent overrides the system?

Kiefer Sutherland is now back in 24, a more violent series but, also dealing with conspiracies. I've never watched it as I pick and choose my television viewing very carefully.
