Local money, local food

I've watched a TV program yesterday evening on the Dutch television and I couldn't
believe my eyes. There are many, many people around the world having their own local
currency. They were talking about the Brixton Pound:

And they were talking about something like Kreiatian in Greece. Some local curreny too.
Money without intrest, without debt!! They showed people who were looking for
solutions in crises like we have lately. They also were talking about bartering.
They showed people who trade olives for oil for example. Because we already know
everything is upside down and 'they' say globalization is a good thing we have go local.
Local money and local food. If we all have our own local communities is much easier to
live off grid. Everybody has their own special powers. And it's a good way to bring people together.

I can sing and play guitar! What do you have for me ? :p

It's a great idea.. But is there enough food locally for all of us? How can our local green grosser compete with giants like Tesco?
