Hi, everyone

A view days a go I posted about alternatives means to asist with plant growth.

http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?38949-Electro-Culture--Increase-plant-growth-using-all-kinds-of-alternatives-

The most easy one to use with what I have is sonic bloom only using my own sounds I found on youtube and downloaded does.

I have a small greenhouse for starter seeds and simple put a headset over the greenhouse playing 6 types of nature sounds + 1 music track all at the same time.

For does who are interested in this here are some links of the sounds I am using right now

Hello Mu2143,

I have heard about playing music for your plants, but have never tried it. I didn't realize that it was best with the natural sounds of nature. Thank you for posting the music, I just built a small greenhouse, and will definitely hook up music to it and my garden this year. Thanks for sharing this information!

Sincerely,

Mr. Davis

I used to work for a business that grew 100's of thousands of tomato plants in the U.k. The company used to invite bands to practice inside the green houses as they said it increased the yield!
It certainly made work more tolerable for me and my friends!
I believe that the programme Mythbusters performed an experiment to discover the truths behind the myth and found that not only did the plants grow better, but some performed better than others when exposed to different types of music.
I think if I was a plant, I would like music too!
Daddy

About Positive Music
by Don Robertson

The Plant Experiments

In 1973, a woman named Dorothy Retallack published a small book called The Sound of Music and Plants.
Her book detailed experiments that she had been conducting at the Colorado Woman’s College in Denver using the school’s three Biotronic Control Chambers. Mrs.
Retallack placed plants in each chamber and speakers through which she played sounds and particular styles of music. She watched the plants and recorded their progress daily.
She was astounded at what she discovered.

Hello Mu2143,

Thank you again, for the above link. I am so glad to know to give my plants a break from the music, and what music works best. This is facinating information. I took a masters gardening class, and this information was never introduced.

When I was a child, we did an experiment. We took two identical houseplants, placed them about two feet apart. They had the same lighting, and both recieved the same care of a watering and feeding schedule. The only difference is that one of the plants we sent happy thoughts to and spoke to often, the other we did not talk to or send any happy thoughts to. I don't have to tell you which plant thrived and which one withered away! So I do talk to my plants when I am in the garden, but probably not as often as I should! But I am very happy to incorprate this new strategy of adding high string music or nature's sound for three hours a day.

I read of other techniques such as surrounding your plants with copper wire, but I never heard of anyone getting results? I wonder what all this electronic pollution is doing to our crops?

Thanks again for sharing,

Sincerely,

Mr. Davis
