Maybe not true, but this is something I have noticed. Help me compile a list, include yourself if necessary:

Bill Ryan
Miriam Delacado (not sure how to spell her last name, 1000 apologies)
Whit Strieber ""

I know there are lots more. I often read a book or hear a testimony and 8/10 times the story took place in the 80s. I've noticed this for some time now, and I think it is a good time to study this phenomenon. Perhaps we can find correlations and maybe some answers.

There are many contactees, alot of the Camelot witnesses say
they have had either physical or telepathic contact...
Bob Dean. Dan Burish, George Green, Alex collier etc..

others,,,
Billy Meier, George Adamsky,Andrew Basiago...

There are many more....
