Hi all,
the story is just breaking. yahoo is covering it now...
The Indo-Asian News Service reported Saturday that a Russian scientist has published what he claims is evidence of life on Venus, Earth’s nearest neighbor in the direction of the sun.

Leonid Ksanfomaliti, an astronomer based at the Space Research Institute of Russia’s Academy of Sciences, analyzed photographs taken by a Russian landing probe during a 1982 during a mission to explore the heavily acid-clouded planet.

Venus is roughly the same size as Earth, but it has a thick atmosphere dominated by carbon dioxide. With an atmospheric pressure 92 times Earth’s, a waterless and volcano-riddled surface and a surface temperature of 894 degrees, the planet has never been considered a serious target of research into the possibility of extraterrestrial life.

But in his article, published in the magazine Solar System Research, Ksanfomaliti says the Russian photographs depict objects resembling a “disk,” a “black flap” and a “scorpion.”

“What if we forget about the current theories about the non-existence of life on Venus?” he wrote. “Let’s boldly suggest that the objects’ morphological features would allow us to say that they are living.”

Other research has suggested that liquid water may have once covered Venus, but the scientific consensus suggests that there have been no oceans there for at least 2 billion years.

The Venus Express spacecraft, built by European engineers, has been observing the planet since its 2005 launch. Scientists working on that project have not reported similar findings, but they also have not ruled out the possibility that life — albeit microscopic — could still lurk there beneath the clouds.

The project is largely dedicated to analyzing what its leaders describe as a “greenhouse effect”-related eco-catastrophe that once converted Venus into an uninhabitable wasteland.

Ksanfomaliti cautioned that the objects he wrote about seem to “emerge, fluctuate and disappear” in different photographs taken from a variety of vantage points.

Interesting! Can we get a link?
Thanks Mojo.

Hey that's interesting. Too bad there aren't any pics of what he's talking about but I'm sure they will surface sooner or later. I'm sure if the probes that are there now are seeing anything they wouldn't tell us about it anyway.

Evening all,

Just noticed that strange sound coming from venus is the same sound produced by our magnetosphere as pointed out by Calz_Avaretard
in this thread http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?38591-Strange-sounds-heard-all-around-the-world/page5
which linked to this site http://www-pw.physics.uiowa.edu/plasma-wave/istp/polar/magnetosound.html they are identical!
Just thought i'd point that out
:)

That brings the story of Valiant Thor to mind....It was speculated there may be underground or domed cities, and if you believe
John Lear Venus has a atmophere similar to earth !!! ( maybe in another dimension)...or not just seen the Carl sagan segment..LOL..

tytnOJSNrqE

well only a few years ago officially there was no life in our solar system, now the moon Mars venus and several other moons may have water
in the form of ice or vapour and astoriods may be carrying the seeds of life all over the universe and Black matter may be holding everything
together......and they have found thousands of planets outside our solar system many in the goldilocks zone.....

Well it's known there are races out there in the universe that breath that Carbon Dioxide Atmosphere. So Sub-Surface or Domed Civilizations are entirely possible. And, we only know what the Off World Visitors tell us, and then scientist with most motives that aren't always in alignment with the truth.

A little more searching and I pulled up this video of some of the objects spoken of by the researcher in the original post.

Leonid Ksanfomaliti of the Space Research Institute of Russia's Academy of Sciences published research that analyzed the photos from the Venus mission made by a Soviet landing probe, Venus-13, in 1982.
The photos feature several objects, which Ksanfomaliti said, resembled "a disk," "a black flap" and "a scorpion." All of them "emerge, fluctuate and disappear," the scientist said, referring to their changing location on different photos and traces on the ground.

In case you didn't know, The whole solar system is thriving with life, NASA just hasn't told us as of yet. I guess we need to find out for ourselves.

Good find Mojo could be where John Lear got his idea for domed cities on venus.....

The official NASA explanation is not much fun !!!

Pancake domes on Venus

. These seven volcanic domes were discovered in Magellan's radar images. They all have round shapes that are about 25 thousand meters across, and steep sides that are less than 750 meters high. Their central vents may be lined up along a crack in the surface. These domes are interpreted as very thick, stiff and sluggish lava flows, rather than the fluid and runny type. Eruptions of the pasty, viscous lava, coming from a central vent on a relatively level surface, would form the circular, flattened shapes that resemble giant pancakes. Since there is little or no erosion by wind or water on Venus, newer pancakes look much the same as the ones on which they are superimposed. (Courtesy of JPL and NASA.)

Russian scientist claims 1982 pictures shows 'life on Venus'
Leonid Ksanfomaliti, an eminent Russian scientist, has claimed to have discovered life in Venus in grainy photographs taken by a Soviet probe three decades ago.

Prof Ksanfomaliti, from the Moscow-based Space Research Institute, analysed photographs taken by a Soviet probe that landed on the planet's surface.

The 79 year-old claimed the pictures, taken by the probe Venus-13 in 1982, show a giant scorpion-styled insect that he claimed proved to life on the scorching second-closest planet to the sun.

But the views of the member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, published in Solar System Research, have been cast into doubt.

Experts say the features described as a disc and a scorpion appear to change locations from one photo to the next.

Prof Ksanfomaliti said the images show a scorpion shaped body, a disc and a "black flap" which apparently move as the probe's camera records the scene.

I find this statement rather intervesting..

"Well it's known there are races out there in the universe that breath that Carbon Dioxide Atmosphere."

If you don't mind, can you please provide some of us (that are not in the know) some evidence of what you claim? I'm not looking for hearsy, just something of substance that will also allow me to promote such truth, thanks

I agree with the term "Never A Straight Answer". However, I'm more interested in lerning a bit more about your statement "In case you didn't know, The whole solar system is thriving with life, NASA just hasn't told us as of yet."

So, do you don't trust NASA but believe their claims of what space is?...after all, they are part of the elite groups privy to such adventure and infomation....

I'll like to know how you gained such truths. I've been looking, researching for ages and still come up with only hearsay. I look forward to your reply....that's if you don't mind sharing....

thanks

Peace

I read somewhere that the likeliest place to have life on a planet was the moon of Venus, Europa which is covered by oceans.

"Venus (and the planet Mercury) are the only two planets that don’t have a single natural moon orbiting them."
