View Full Version : Abandoning selfishness for selflessness

The world is changing. It is why we all joined this forum. I feel that in order to create a better collective existence we must abandon the selfish nature of the ego & adopt a deeper awareness of selflessness. Before thinking about "me", we need to think about "us".

This is where I get very confused.

I have read all of David Icke's material & have kept up to date with the content on these forums over the course of the past year. So, to say the least, I am somewhat "awake" to the true "reality" of the world & how it truly operates. Or am I?

Is this "matrix" a deep manifestation of my mind & the path of my soul? Is Obama really part of an evil cabal taking over the world? Or is what he is trying to do really for the benefit of everyone? Does Obama exist outside of the ego in a way that fosters selflessness?

To get to that answer is so blatantly complex that i cannot begin to formulate an answer?

I believe in multidimensionality & the fact that everything is one. With that said, why does it feel like we are slaves to a greedy system? Why is Obama trying so hard to transform the world ito a socialist system? Isn't the very notion of socialism / Marxism / communism a step in the direction of selflessness? Would a one world government really be a bad thing?

It seems our ego is the true root of all evil.

What's the deal?

I feel even the most "evil" leaders have "positive" intentions, regardless of how psychopathic & deplorable they may be. Everything is relative, right?

Americans exist in the ego more than any other society in earth. Why was this deliberately allowed?

What are Obama's intentions?

Did my soul choose this life for a reason? If so, I definitely do not see it.

My gut tells me Obama has good intentions that are horribly distorted. He may not even realize it.

If you were king of the world what would you do in order to fix our current situation?

I feel if any one of us were in Obama's position we may perform even more poorly (assuming he has positive intentions).

I am very lost...

Hi there, Shadowbox. You are not alone. In fact, knowing you are lost is the beginning of finding your way. Knowing that you don't know everything is the opening to finding out something. As a proponent of Unity Consciousness I am of the opinion that These Things Must Be. That all things positive and negative counter-balance each other and serve the Greater Good. From that perspective it is possible to see how things that are overtly negative can and will lead to positive results, while things that seem overtly positive can lead to negative results.

Removing our emotionality from the equation and rejecting fear is mandatory in arriving at a state of BEing that allows you to exist in equanimity and to accept what comes without becoming either angry or happy, just accepting things as they are and not applying judgment to them. Finding the peace that lies beyond the emotions is finding grace, is accepting the world and its lessons. Accepting Obama as either Angel or Demon, it doesn't matter either way, your perception and the actions that arise as a consequence are what is important, as is true of and for each of us.

Whatever choices that you make in regards to all of this information are the entire point of it all. No matter what that choice may be, service-to-self, service-to-others or beyond either position. It will be right for you. And that makes it all good.
