The long awaited study results are here, but you will probably be more than a little disappointed.

Does anyone know if this attacks both male and female?

okay, could somebody please explain to me how they come to the conclusion that this disease is psychological if there are tiny little wires running about and oozing out of ones' skin? that is not a psychological dilemma...... that is an actual physical entity. how can it be psychological if it is tangible? this just really pisses me off. and it goes to show that they believe the general population has no critical thinking skills at all. what a bunch of termites. thanks for the update shadowstalker.

This is disappointing but not surprising. Much easier to diagnose it as 'delusional parasitosis' because then the patient can be blamed for the condition and not outside agencies. Even though Clifford Carnicom, Dr Staninger, et al have tested morgellon's fibres and described them as advanced nano materials others still insist that the fibres are just bits of fluff from carpets or clothes. I wouldn't wish this on anyone but if someone major league had this maybe it would attract more mainstream attention. The only well known person I am aware of who had it was Joni Mitchell.
